To be fair the title was misleading, but anyway, I just came across your video and it was great! I know Portrush well as I live in the next town, called Portstewart, you should check it out, lots of cafes and some nice shops, bars etc. You seem like a great couple and so I will subscribe so that I can follow your adventures. Hi Lisa and Mark, Ive been following your trip around N.Ireland, but when I seen your headline " We've been scammed in Northern Ireland" I watched closely and it turned out you were scammed else where not in N.I so putting a title like that in you tube ,has probably put of tourists coming here. Im so glad you have found this wee gem of a country and wish you well on your onward travels through out Ireland, enjoy your hols.

We were in Northern Ireland, the bank didn’t conclude that it happened elsewhere despite me telling them my card activity. They did want to know where I was at the time which was Northern Ireland! If I’d had said we were scammed in china people would still call us!

@@NorthernersonTour Well, going by your own logic, technically you were likely inside your motorhome when you found this out. You should've titled the video "scammed inside our motorhome". The good people of the north have nothing to do with your misfortune.

Those parking charges are really cheap. If you want to get properly ripped off with crazy parking charges go to Brighton. Several years ago I parked in a Brighton car park, when I left I went to the pay machine with some change in my hand as usual. What a shock, the charge was just over £22, and that was for just over 4 hours! And it hasn’t got any cheaper one of the main car parks charge £5-95 per hour. Unfortunately that’s the trouble with card payments if someone hacks your details they can go on a spree without you knowing and rack up a big bill. Luckily if it’s a card you rarely use you spotted it in time, but what normally happens is they use your card hoping the payments are hidden in among loads of other payments and don’t get noticed for a long time. It’s scary not really knowing how they got the card details. But I did at first think you’d been ripped off in Ireland and not by a card scammer!

Seriously can’t go wrong in Northern Ireland. The old garrison town of Enniskillen is beautiful on the shores of Lough Erne. Cross the border into Donegal on the ferry from Magilligan Point. Just short of the ferry, you can wild camp to the left of the road. The Point Bar does good food and there’s a great beach for dog walking. Northern Donegal is one of the most beautiful parts of the Wild Atlantic Way. Donegal Town, home of Rory Gallagher is worth an explore.

Brings back so many memories ❤ I'm now 54 and used to go there as a kid and loved Barry's, which was closed for a long time and was saved by the new owners (curry's) outside where the water slide is used to be a pirate ship which was too scarry for me and a rollercoaster! For somewhere to go that has beautiful beaches Google Ards Peninsula Millisle is another fav of mine, not sure of places to stay for motorhomes, etc. but Donaghadee has a car park that they all park in round beside the lighthouse and harbour!

Hi guys, please do not apologise. You are indeed on the island of Ireland. Some refer to the North as Northern Ireland and most others just say Ireland. Over 50% of the population are Irish citizens, so feel free to say Ireland.

Has a tear in my eye watching this one 😢 my dear dad died in 2021. He was born in Londonderry and spent many years in at Portrush. As a little boy he said he used to earn a shilling taking the blocks away from the gliders that were taking off from the beach. ❤

I’m from Northern Ireland, down in County Fermanagh, you have to visit enniskillen. Also Florencecourt house, Crom castle, Marble Arch, castle coole and castle archdale. And don’t date leaving with out visiting Donegal ( republic of Ireland but up the north end ) full of breathtaking scenery and beaches

@@NorthernersonTour Enniskillen is the main town in County Fermanagh, it’s an island town. They are all in Fermanagh most are national trust, probably only 15-30 mins outside the town either way. Crom castle is near a town called Lisnaskea, it was featured on a tv show called Blandings. Beautiful place on upper lough Erne

Balintoy, dunsevrick, white park bay (wonderful beach with cows on it) portballintrae. All these within a few miles of portrush. If you come in land then try the sperrin mountain area gortin glen forest park is very popular, it has a brilliant camper set up. I love this country, so much greenery fresh air and silence .

I live in Southend -on-sea. The parking is in Zones. Zone 1 which covers the seafront is £3.00 an hour and they have increased the time you have to pay up to 9 pm ( it used to be till 6 pm) so it will cost £25 to park all day

I used to work in Barry’s as a student. It used to have the worlds scariest rollercoaster, quite tame at first glance but as you were going up you could see the thing falling apart, loose rivets and missing bolts.

Hi folks glad you are liking Northern Ireland I was born in Portrush 1946 and was christened I'n the Methodists Church We lived in portstewart as well, anoher nice seaside town next to Portrush. Glad you're enjoying Northern Ireland. Love your wee danders around the town. Currys arcade used to called Barrys. It was famous for every kid in Northern Ireland summer holidays. Take a trip to Portrush and goto Barrys. The ghost train is great.

Locals in my town in Scotland have been hacked me included some for quite alot of money and the bank has said it's happening alot locally and the thing in common with them all is temu, so sorry this happened to you. Great vlog I love everywhere you visit

From sunny Drummore/Stranraer 😊 Definitely brought a tear to my eye watching this, as growing up in NEWTOWNABBEY just outside Belfast, that was are trip in the summer Holidays, feels like 100 years ago lol, sorry you where scammed, i have family in Manchester that had the same done to them 😢 i had a friend from Belfast, flew to Glasgow last week, got a train to snt Andrews to buy a motorhome like yours, Drove all the way down to Stranraer to meet me for a few hours, got the ferry back tome with it at 7.30 that night, its well nice ❤ keep up the good vlogs, and stay safe 😊 xx

Belfast here spent most of my childhood summers in Portrush there's a town just round the corner called Portstweart and if you are going on across into the Irish Republic you should visit places like Letterkenny Bundoran or any rural part of north Donegal and then back into Enniskillen on the way down.

The scammers can now even work in shops, when you hand your card over, they can take a pic of it with their phone and use the details to buy stuff online

When I looked I read it as you had been physically scammed by someone whilst in Northern Ireland as oppose to someone elsewhere. Loving your channel and the way you report the places you visit I thought it must have been serious so was concerned for your safety. Criminals are so sophisticated in their methods now it is difficult to narrow down exactly where or how your details have been extracted. Stick to your guns with the bank. Anyway, Lisa, loved the hat in your last video, in fact you are a lady who just suits hats. Hope to see you the next time you visit Tesco in Lockerbie. Kenmare in the south west was a lovely place to visit. The Ring of Kerry is beautiful.

I was hacked a few months ago for nearly 400pnd. I went mad with my bank, and they allowed 3 payments out to someone I had never used before. I did get it all back, though.

It's awful when scammers scam us. I had that a couple of years ago and my bank account still hasn't recovered from it, They took £3.500. Which was meant for my household bills, I never got it back. All that happened was my bank told me to cut my card up after I receive my new one. I'm sick so I can't work so me trying to make that money back can't happen. In October I become a pensioner so I've already gathered that my bank will never recover. Xx

Make a point in calling them every day or two. You will get it back they try to put you off so you just give up but please keep calling them they will soon get sick of the calls and pay you back YOUR OWN MONEY

The Lake District of Fermanagh and the town of Enniskillen are well worth a visit. Try and catch one of the boat tours to Devenish island and the old monastic abbey.

I do love "The Port" many holidays spent there when i was a kid in the 1960s, especially loved getting ten shillings once and blowing it all in Barrys! (Currys.)😂 The "Ulster flag(s)" Wikipedia explains better than I can on here.🤐 The bistro on main street was indeed a bank, Northern Bank, which was part of Midland bank group, then part of National Australia bank, these days trading as Danske Bank. That branch closed years ago though. You've made me want a wee run up in the car tomorrow and I've been there three times this year already! 😁😂

I notice that Chicco does like flashing lights - You will find LED lights particularly distressing for animals. Horses do not like cars with LED lights and often rear up and throw the riders in their presence. I have made the authorities aware of this but they really don't care. It might be a good idea to keep your little Chicco away from fairgrounds and discos!! Watch the video and note what you see.

Aww my homeland. Looks great on TV. Good thing you weren’t at Currys last weekend (Saturday 13th July), you could barely move in the place and the traffic was queued right round. Royal Portrush, the Golf course, is voted as one of the best golf courses in the World. The Safehouse Cafe used to be the Northern/Danske bank. And Ireland rugby caps should be grand, the Irish Rugby team represents both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. It was only the football team that split into two, most other sports like cricket, hockey and boxing remained as one sporting body.
