We present you all sorts of wine from all over the world. Today we have light weight 2nd tournament of red wine group. But... we’ve never expected this kind of wine! -Wineking's instagram: jay.wineking #wineking #와인킹 #WineOlympics
Thanks Jay for making this. Thanks Peter for being born. This is not only excellent entertainment but also a place where to learn! Your channel inspired me and kept me happy during lockdown and still I can’t wait to see your new video every week. I’d love to make a donation if it’s an available option
I love the Wine Olympics (including the anthem)! Thank you for all the amazing videos. I have been learning a lot from you guys and I think you are both awesome. And one suggestion/idea for a future tasting: I would love to hear your opinions on nakedwines and the wines they sell. They work directly with independent winemakers, financing the wine production, while reserving it for sale on their platform, which works both with members that contribute a monthly fee and as a regular online shop. I have had a positive experience, but I am curious to see what the experts would say. Can't wait for more of your videos! Cheers!
I ordered three bottles of Wine #1, Papari Valley Saperavi, and loved it! Thanks for the introduction of this Georgian wine. It reminded me of the DeRose Parrone Syrah from Chile.
This is my favorite channel on youtube and there is something magical about you guys and the chemistry between you is like jingjang - totally different but together a strong unity =) ! Keep it up! And yes I knew nothing about wine and I know a lot more now than before. It's learning that puts a smile on your face, just as education should be like =) Fantastic channel and people! Thank you!
Finally some Georgian wines! Would love to hear your thoughts about the Georgian semi sweet red wines in a future episode (even if I can imagine what it is, I might be surprised!) :)
RU-vid has decided for the week prior to me being old enough to drink. To suggest alcohol based RU-vid channels. Yours is one of my favorites. Wine wasn't my favorite growing up. But now I'm excited to hopefully take what I've seen from yall the past few days and get some decent wine and try it to give it it's fair shake before I say I may not like wine or what not
In the old days when shooting a movie, they tried to make sure there was no clock in the background, so as not to show any discrepancies in the editing...in your case you should watch out for reflections in the window of the pool cleaner. Another great video!
Exciting tasting here, enjoying every moment of it. He definitely knows a few things about Georgian wines too. Great to see. I would argue that Saperavi wines are made incredibly naturally in many cases though. Probably one of the oldest ways of making wine.
Have you ever done a video about how you prepare these tastings? How you open the wine and let it breathe/what tools you are using? I would be interested to see.
Hello... i watch all your videos.. learn a lot. And your conversations are very pleasent... i'd love to ear what Peter says about Quinta da Pellada Wines... Hug from Portugal.
I would love to see a review of your guys's notebook how many you have if you transfer them into a master notebook how they are organized, I really think it would be super interesting.
As soon as i saw that purple colour in first glass of wine thought about georgian Kindzmarauli from Teliani Valley vinery. God i love that wine for its price.
Very nice to see a good Georgian wine at the top. Saperevi has this "strange" color because has purple pulp as well, where normally in normal grapes only the skin is colored.
@@mcwine18 it doesnt, its not a teinturier which is the only type of grape to have purple flesh, alicante bouschet, petit bouschet and like 2 others have purple flesh
I really want to see Jay put a collection of high scoring 4th and 5th growth and lower classification wines from great years like 97 to 100 points that would be amazing get on the case jay
Thanks for doing all the work tasting these wines so we can just go out and buy them. Awesome tastings again….especially the “purple “ wine. I know you are in the OC. So, where do you go to purchase these wines?
"I love it, which upsets me a lot" hahahahahha. Glad to see Papari Valley doing well. They've come A LONG way in a short time. I prefer the Lytton Springs over the Geyserville too, which is not a popular opinion when I taste with other wine geeks.
I was looking for a South African wine for a gift at the local Bevmo after watching some older videos last week. Just happened to pick up the Meerlust - glad it was an okay choice!
I like your videos alot. I watch them since 1 or 2 weeks all the time. I drink wine for a few years now, and they are mostly sweet red wines from south africa or europe around 10-20€. I saw in your videos that you mostly drink dry and I guess way more complex red wines. How is your opinion on sweet redwines can they be really good too? Do you think that depends on every person itself? Do you think a more dry red wine is always way more complex? Greetings!
First of all: Thank you very much for all your good videos! Hey, You should try the: Dominio del Aguila Reserva Ribera del Duero 2016 It should be VERY nice, want to hear your opinion on it
I'm abstinent but I would really like to try wine since I've never drunk it. Could you try to review some non-alcoholic wines? Maybe trying to trick him by blending them with alcoholic wines from the same area, or hiding them among normal wines.
Hey Jay, greetings from Germany. A view days ago was the tasting of all the new GG wines. If you have the possibility to taste some I would love to see that ! Stay safe ;)
I tend to go Georgian for reds and Greek for whites. The Saperavi is an absolutely phenomenal grape and before COVID I used to always beeline straight to the Georgian stalls at wine fairs.
Always enjoy every video. I would guess that the divergence from traditional grape varieties threw them off about the Georgian wine. Regardless of additives, interesting original varietals can cause strange reactions when blind tasting.
If the Georgian's are quick learners then the French still have their training wheels on the Australia and New Zealand haven't been born yet! I love Peter's mischievous laugh, the frequency of which is in direct proportion to the amount of 'tasting' he does.
Thank you for doing these videos! I know it would be a lot of work, but it would be nice if you partnered with some wine outlet that could sell the wines you are tasting in a case and deliver them. I can not get most of these wines locally. I'd have to piece together each one and the shipping would be ridiculous. Just a thought. It might mean making a few dollars for yourself as well!
Never tasted any of Papari Valley wines yet. But I’ll had the Atalaya Alaya Tierra from Almansa that comes close to the extreme experience you had in this tasting. Color, power and richness turned to 11.
finally! I thought I never see a day! Saperavi on wineking! ok so this Saperavi not only has no coloring, it is actually a “low intervention” wine, grown organically and certified so. wild yeast fermentation, fermented and aged in Qvevri. talks of coloring or any type of manipulation is out of question. watching Peter lose his mind over Saperavi makes me so happy :)
Just curious, are you going to do a RU-vid tasting of the wines that are being sold under the WineKing name at CU pyeonijeoms? Or do you have some tasting notes or an explanation as to why you selected those wines to sell under your name?
Mega purple overload. Peter, "Weird strange color ..." Jae adds: "The color almost looks like blood." I'm surprised Peter liked it. Peter's final analysis-"I want to give him a prize, then I want to hang him." hah! Funny video as always. You both are wonderful.
Awww Peter doesn’t think Armenian wine hits the mark!! Now we have to have a discussion with the Georgian wine makers… lol. Beautiful episode today guys thank you for doing what you do
You should review Cakebread Cellars Chardonnay. Apologize if you have before but to me this is the best wine I’ve ever drank up until this point and now I look at wine in a different light. Never really understood why people liked wine because all other wines to me tasted sub par. Prefer single malt scotch but bow would rather drink Cakebread.
I'd love you to try English wines, I keep hearing there up and coming, but I have no idea if its just marketing or what style and quality there going for
I love you guys! All of you are great, amazing men and fabulous human beings!! It's so nice to watch men who don't have to be macho! Truly good people - all three of you! 👍
13:00 LOL from this point on it's just a minute of happy drunk (?) toasting for random stuff. Everything from how many thousand years someone has tried to make wine, to wives to "I love you - I love you too"
Sometimes people like this that are so knowledgeable are off putting and seem like they wouldn't be fun to be with talking about their trades, but I barely know anything about wine and just want to hang out with them and have them teach me everything 😂 I think they are so down to earth
Would love to buy a bottle of the Saperavi, but I don't see it on wine-searcher for sale in the US anywhere. Anyone know a shop that has it (and ships)?
