We actually LIKED *Ghostbusters 2* (First time watching reaction)

'Present day' Bill Murray is actually his brother, Brian Doyle-Murray. He was in Caddyshack and Groundhog's Day (probably others) with Bill.

One thing a lot of people miss in this movie is: The book guy on Venkman's show was almost right in his prophecy about the world ending on new years eve.

Random story: I met Winston (Ernie Hudson) in northern Australia at a Macdonalds, when he was filming Penal Colony/Escape from Absolom, alongside Ray Liotta, and after he did The Hand That Rocks the Cradle. He was sitting with his family and he was more than happy to stand up and have a good chat and introduce me to his family. I was about 17. Seemed like a super nice earthy guy.

One of the cool subtle things about Egon Spengler, is he's a secret Casanova. An epididymis is a "highly convoluted duct behind the testis, along which sperm passes to the vas deferens". Egon was asserting his manhood to Venkman, hence his reaction after he said it😆

RIP Ivan Reitman. You made some truly iconic films that mean a lot to so many people, and we’re honored to have shared our experiences with some of them.

Fun fact: The kid who said they were full of crap at the beginning of the movie was played by Jason Reitman, The son of the films Director and eventual Director of the most recent Ghostbusters movie afterlife.

Fun fact: Ray looking woozy in front of the painting and the others looking concerned in the back of the car are remnants from a cut sequence where Ray gets possessed and goes on a vehicular rampage

The pure joy on Altaf's face when Louis comes out of the firehouse equipped with a proton pack. That was great. :D

When you're not making videos, I highly suggest you play Ghostbusters: The Video Game. It's essentially the plot for a supposed Ghostbusters 3, and the ENTIRE CAST returns. It feels right. I highly recommend you play it, dudes. You can get it on any modern day system.

APGAR score is a real thing - it's an assessment used to quickly measure the health status of a baby (heart rate, skin color, breathing, muscle tone, response to stimulation). Though, it's typically used to assess the status of newborns who are one to five minutes old, not kids who are several months old. The Gammill and Pross test sounds like bs though.

You guys are so fun to watch movies with. And every time the wish for Rick Moranis in a Ghostbusters outfit was mentioned I got so much more excited for that reveal of him in it - and your reaction to that did not disappoint! It’s not my favourite of the Ghostbusters films, but I’ve always had a soft spot for this one.

My favorite movie as a child. I wore the vhs tape out multiple times and begged my parents for new copies. I'm still terrified of Vego to this day. Totally underrated and underappreciated classic. "chef's kiss"

Love that you loved this. I always thought this was a pretty fun sequel and certainly felt like a Ghostbusters movie, never understood why people decreed it "awful". The Statue of Liberty sequence had me crying laughing with joy at the end. Mostly just a pity that more movies don't take such big swings for weird fun.

Exactly. What makes Ghostbusters so good is the chemistry of the characters and the punch lines. I saw this as a kid when it was released and i am not going to lie, i did not like it as much as the first one but i still liked it because of the the characters, their lines, interactions and the dialogues...ahh and the evolution of Egon lol. The part of the movie with Louis as a lawyer is very funny.

These movies started my life-long love for Annie Potts.

7:53 Talking about great line deliveries, this one is one of my favourites of all time. I actually use it in conversations. The way Rick Moranis delivers that "Ladies and gentlemen o-the-o-the-o-the-audience" is comedic freaking *_gold_* !

The VFX were done by Industrial Light and Magic, and there was over 200 VFX shots throughout the film. It was also the last film to use in camera visual effects involving Miniatures, Matte Paintings and Rear screen projection.

RIP, Ivan Reitman, his films made us laugh till the end.

Ok, new sub here. One thing I want to say apart from how entertaining you two are is that I appreciate how fast you get to the film. No loooong waffling intros like so many others. I appreciate that as I have no patience lol... one of the reasons I subbed to be honest.... can't wait to check out earlier vids.

theres a documentary called "Ghostheads" its about the fans of the films that have started chapters of ghostbusters around the world its really worth a watch

Did you know There was a ghostbusters 3 before afterlife? It's called ghostbusters the video game, it had a returning main cast and was set in 1991, there's two versions, a realistic version for xbox 360 (and other consoles+pc) and a cartoony version for ps2 (and wii) It's a pretty good game that'll make you feel like a ghostbuster and I really recommend it, it even has a story that branches off into a comic series.

The movie recieved mixed reviews by Critics, as Roger Ebert went to a packed movie theater in Michigan and there was only one laugh throughout.

I remember seeing this in the theater with my older cousin. I was only 5 and I freaked out when Viggo doing that shit with his eyes. The dark blue suits are right out of the animated series that was on TV at the time. I really enjoyed your guy's reaction. Be ready for the sequel to Afterlife. It's in production!

Absolutely loved your video, guys. GB2 is a criminally underrated sequel with so many great laughs. I can literally recite the entire film alongside the original due to watching it non-stop as a kid. I had the Real Ghostbusters action figures and would mimic the films scenes while watching it. Great memories. Keep being awesome.

It's said the painting revealed at the end with the Ghostbuster lookalikes and baby was the original before it was painted over with Vigo's image.

Watched this at the cinema , have always loved it. The painting creeped me tf out and the developed pics showing the weird deformed head and slime gave me night terrors for a while along with the eyes lighting up in the corridor.

Have to agree with the dialogue as Egon and Ray are about to exam Oscar being gibberish. The "Gammill and Pross Infant Acuity Test" appears to be a reference to Tom Gammill and Max Pross, a comedy writing team that worked on SNL in sesons 5-8. The APGAR score is actually a real medical score, but it is one used on newborns immediately after births so it can be determined if there is anything wrong with the baby.

Love this movie! Ghostbusters were huge in the 80’s, everyone of all ages loved them. Especially the first one. I loved the sequel but we had to wait so long for it the hype behind it is what let people have too high of expectations

I'm amazed that so many don't get the joke of the scene where they first turn on the guns. Peter hums "doh" and expects the others to continue with "doh, ray, me, fah, soh, lah, te"... Ray hums "ray", which also happens to be his name. And Egon just says his name instead of "me". Very funny!

The utter visual disgust bordering nausea to the “third act to big daddy” joke (13:58) is priceless. The real life chemistry between the two of you make this channel dope!!! Keep it up!

The guy who opened the door for the Ghostbusters and asked for a proton pack for his little brother was Bobby Brown. He sung the theme song for the 2nd movie. He was married to Whitney Houston.

OH THANK GOD YOU DID THIS ONE I WAS SO WORRIED YOU WERENT GONNA DO THE SECOND MOVIE BUT I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH it feels so much more *fun* than the first one, in a way, because of how everyone already knows each other. the first movie was entertaining and exciting but this one is so sweet and lovable in a different way.

The guys at the docks are two of my favorite characters, because of their reactions to what happens.

I love how on both films you guys have predicted several moments in the story, not to say the films were dull or standard, but you totally got the tone and were into it. Also, I think the second film is better than a lot of people give it credit for. Sure, not AS good as first one, but I still love it. It seems to have more surreal and frightening images and that pink slime is so 80s. It also has my favorite ghosts, being the Scolari Brothers. Do you guys have favorites?

The mayor's doorman is portrayed by Bobby Brown. Bobby also sang the song ON OUR OWN for this film. It became one of his biggest hits. He also sang the song WE'RE BACK which also appears on the film's soundtrack.

Other fun facts: Vigo says find me a child so that i might live again. when he "possesses" ray when hes scanning the painting he's using ray as a back up in case his plans dont work with oscar (failed attempt a few times) cuz ray has a child like mind/enthusiasm for the paranormal. that's why he becomes possesed at the end during the battle. Ghostbusters 2 is supposed to kind of have the tone of the cartoon, that's why you see janine with louis, but i think she's kind of fantasizing that louis is egon, that's why she gets him in the spengler jumpsuit and kisses him when louis wants to go help the guys at the museum. The reason Winston's character doesn't have much to do over both movies is that it was supposed to be Eddie Murphy playing him. But Eddie Murphy turned it down to do Beverly Hills Cop instead.

The actress who plays the receptionist, Annie Potts, now plays Meemaw on "Young Sheldon".

some great little appearences for recognisable actors in this film, not least the uncredited role of the voice of Vigo, performed by Max von Sydow, something I did not learn until I was an adult and found it online, as a mad Ghostbuster and Flash Gorden fan I was blown away!

Technically, the damage to Central Park West was because of how it was designed by Ivo Shandor and because Walter Peck had the Containment Grid shut off. Also, I think the reason Slimer helped Louis with the bus ride is he felt bad for scaring him and eating his lunch

The Apgar score however is a real thing that's tested right after birth and then again a few moments/hours later. It doesn't make sense in this scenario though. It's named after its inventor but is also an acronym for -appearance (is the skin healthy or cyanosed) -pulse -grimace (is the baby crying or non responsive) -agility (are the muscles flexing or limb) -respiration

I was 9 when this came out and I got to see it in the theater. The first is one of my all time favorite movies, but this one will always be special to me. I love this stuff. Great reactions!

I don't know if you noticed, but the Ghostbusters basically went to a kid's party with an unlicensed nuclear accelerator strapped to their backs.

I wish someone had asked Ray if the was a god and he said 'yes' like Winston told him to in the first movie, they really missed a trick there. There was a cartoon series between the two films. The characters all looked quite different (Egon was blond) but the Janine in this film seems to have taken her new look from the cartoon version of her.

If you recall in the first movie Dana says Venkman is like a game show host.

That 'Five Years Later' shown right at the very start is true, this movie really did come out five years after the first one.

I don't know if anyone revealed this in the comments, but in the first movie, "Dana (Sigourney Weaver)" has this dialogue with "Venkman (Bill Murray)": “Dana Barrett: You know, you don’t act like a scientist.” "Venkman: They're usually pretty stiff." "Dana Barrett: You're more like a game show host." He finally becomes this famous presenter in this second part.

The Venkman character is not an awful person. He's a wisecracking lovable ahole, with a good heart. Also, he's quite courageous when you think about it.

I was a bit too young when the first one came out and I don't remember it as much as the sequel. Because of that, this one has more nostalgia for me and is more enjoyable to rewatch. Same with Terminator 2.

Absolutely 💯 loved that you were so enthusiastic about this one. This was my first exposure to GB when I was 8 yrs old, so for me, this was like the first movie. The writing was spot on, and the more you watch them, the more of the nuanced comedy really shines through. Of course it was all sorts of wierd.. it was written collaboratively from the minds that brought you National Lampoon & SCTV!

The baby was played by twins who are nephews of John Denver. Will and Hank Deutschendorf One of them had Schizoaffective disorder (Hank) and committed suicide a few years ago. The other brother reached out to Ghostheads on Facebook to raise awareness and let us know what happened.

Giga which is the SI Unit prefix for 10^9. From the 1920 through to the 1950s the G was pronounced with a soft g because its greek origin from gigas (giant in greek) which is pronounced with the first g being soft. In the 1960s-1970s the convention really started to be anglicized in academia with a hard G. By the time the G was commonly used in computer related parlance everyone had already adopted the hard-G.
