Your skills as cavers are obvious. I hope you know your skills as a documentarian are just as impressive. The video that you organized in reverse where the end was you guys finding the cave entrance and pondering what lay ahead- MIND BLOWING. You owe it to your work to take your time and focus on quality over quantity. Us viewers will be much better off practicing patience and waiting anxiously for your next adventure. I know I will be.

Well thank you very sincerely. On the list of things that I think of myself, caving is below making videos/art. Whether I am good at it or not, is less of a concern than doing my best. I really enjoy long form content and I often find that 20 minute videos(especially docuseries and creepypasta esk stuff) just arent long enough. Thank you. It's not always specifically a quality issue sometimes it's just an issue of what I want to do. Having a channel in tow sometimes becomes its own monster. I want to make sure I'm in front, leading it, not being led by it. Because ultimately we aren't you tubers. This might sound weird, but getting stuck in caves is something I've always loved because it really tests me, of course I've always managed to get unstuck otherwise I wouldn't be here writing this. Can't wait to be back out caving again, heading to caves in Wales next week then back home to do some underwater cave diving for the first time and then heading through mainland Europe cave exploring, next year will hit the states and do more there. Excited.

Every caver I've ever met will say the same thing. "I like getting stuck." You don't know how far you can go until you get jammed in and have to be pulled out. But you cannot explain that to someone who doesn't do this they will have no ability to comprehend it.

But as I say to them, my experience of it is that it makes me feel alive, free and happy.. what I achieve down there can't be compared to what happens up here no matter how good. Although, I do wish I didn't have to do it on my own as much.. not that there is many of us spelunkers where I am, but I'd love to have more companions when it comes to cave exploring. I do meet new people on my travels and I love it.. but I'd like to have someone to stick around with more.

The main thing about caving that freaks me out isn’t getting in there, it’s getting out. I feel like I could squeeze through there but once it set in that it was that much effort to get through and getting out requires a different angle and more energy than I have, that’s when I would start to freak out

Big fan of your channel. However, what I’ve realised is that I’ve been working, (mentally), on how I would react personally. But, this video shows that I would not be ready for ‘secondhand anxiety’. I feel that I’d be cool if it were me in that position, but, if my Dad or a loved one was in that position, then my anxiety would be through the roof! How do you cope with the potential external anxieties?

The same way I deal with internal anxiety. I try to remain objective. For short durations, it is possible. I try to think free from emotion, as if I was an EMS worker. Doing what is necessary to get out of the particular situation without the binding restriction of worry. I divorce myself from personally caring. Objectively I know it is the best way to help. So I force my emotions to take a back seat because they are less helpful. In all of life you have several parts of your mind at war with each other. And there is something in your conscious that is able to decide which parts of your mind are going to be dominant. Are you going to be afraid or are you going to help? It's not always that simple but very often it is.

Thank you take a hike cavemen. I hope if you do sell the 200 hours of footage, you don’t reveal the location of the super secret cave to the uninitiated. I am happy Covid is getting over and people won’t have as much time to watch your Oscar worthy content. If the cave could speak, it would say it wants it’s privacy, or at least that’s what I believe.
