Hey Incon! Love your stuff, but I'm entirely lost on Deadlock. Any interest from you about doing a "welcome to deadlock" style video, calling out the basics? I did a quick search through your vids and couldn't find one at a glance.
18:49 "Activate to clear a portion of the differed damage. I don't know what that means." The passive effect means that you don't take 100% of incoming damage at once. Instead, a small portion is reduced, and dealt back to you later as damage over time, similar to how car payments work. You don't pay the whole price of the car, but a down payment, and the rest of the payment in monthly installments. The active component takes the remaining damage you would have taken from the DOT(the monthly payment, so to speak) and clears a portion of it so that you no longer take that damage. It would be like your car dealer tells you that you no longer have to pay for the car in full, but that you only need to pay some of the remaining payments. The end result is that you don't take all the damage of an attack, so that it's like damage reduction with extra steps.
