Making this decision to homeschool the twins was so difficult for us but we jumped! We are in the middle of it and they love it and it seems to be working. Subscribe: @TheMADLife1 Follow Me on Instagram: @madisonbontempo bit.ly/2G2dbi5
Having a tutor is such a good option for parents that are really busy. It’s nice for the girls because they get to be at home and not have to do all the busy work they do at school to fill in the time. Sounds like they have plenty to do to keep them occupied.
I loved the way you handled Taytum talking about her and Oakley’s differences in school + dance/gymnastics! Empowering them while also saying it’s ok to be on different levels, it’s not a competition and it’s not a bad thing! ❤ You’re an awesome mom.
I was homeschooled by my mom most my life until a year ago and it really made my mindset set on the good morals my mom taught me instead of following the crowd. And im top in most classes now! HOMESCHOOLING IS AWESOME
Reading is definitely the most important thing to do. My son started reading at 3 and he has always been very bright because of reading so early on. He is also in 2nd grade at a private school. They are required to read every single night and answer questions as part of their homework. We started getting chapter books at the library and it’s been great. It’s a good age for chapter books. 😊 Good luck with teaching! Everyone seems happy & content. That extra time with the kids is soooo special! Soak it all up. ❤ Ps- don’t worry about what other parents say. Every child is different and everyone’s lives are different. You guys do what’s best for your kids! My 7 year old reminds me so much of your twins. He’s just very mature for his age and I think it takes a certain child like that to be home schooled. The child also has to want to learn. If not, it can be so difficult. I don’t see that y’all will have a problem. Your twins seem like bright girls!
Yay! That's awesome. We love homeschooling too. And we keep our kids very active and extracurriculars too during the day and museums. And we're able to have family time after. It has been such a blessing for us. I hope everything continues to go so well for your family ❤️
@@seadragonpirate8195 It is my job, doesn't pay very much though ;). We are part of a homeschool association that is paid for through a local district, that allows my kids to take up to 3 extracurricular classes through the community, while doing school at home. It is definitely worth looking into your local homeschool community. We have found it to be so nice where we live. There are tons of homeschoolers out there. It's definitely not lonely if you find the right resources :).
I was the one who was worried that it would be too much for you to homeschool since you are so incredibly busy. That's AWESOME that you have tutors!!! This way you are not so stressed from being pulled in a million different directions. Museums and the library and time outside are such a bonus. Sounds like your schedule will be more relaxed, which means that (hopefully) you'll be more relaxed. Please check in with us from time to time to show us how you guys are doing!
I started home schooling my son in January 2020 due to extreme bullying at school and he's actually thriving better than he did in a school setting and is now 2 years ahead. I love it he loves it and he's so much happier
I loved this video. I don”t think you will have any regrets for making the choice to educate your children with the values you support. Our children are too precious to leave their education in the hands of those who have other agendas. Your use of a tutor is wonderful. Bless you.
We also use the good and the beautiful and have Been homeschooling for 4 years. I recommend putting the camera down and spending the time 1 on1 with your kids.
Love that you’re homeschooling! I hope to do that when I have kids. It’ll give them much more opportunity to have time in their day for other things they love while also being AHEAD of kids their age AND they’ll learn to love learning, life will be an adventure, rather than an all-day chore. So many kids just grow up hating school because it’s so rote and not cool and it’ll be wonderful for them to not have the social pressure to hate it all while giving them the opportunity to dance and act and play piano….I love ALL of this!!
You guys are awesome parents and what you are doing for your kids is amazing and the right thing to do👍🏼 Always protect them and educate them while you can!! God bless🙏🏼
🎉😊love homeschooling been doing it for 7 years and the time I have with my kids is precious. One graduated last year and one graduates this year and then I have a 9 year old in 4th grade time is going by so fast and if I only saw them for a handful of hrs a day it just wouldn’t work for me. We get to do so many fun things we have homeschool groups in our area Tn to do field trips with lots of fun outings. If you move to Tn there is a huge homeschool community and truly is the best. You will find everyone always has options about homeschooling but you know your kids best and I have always said God gave us these kids to raise and teach and trusted us to be the perfect parent for our children so we can do this job just like many of the other hats we wear as parents. ❤
My friend was home schooled in the 90s as a child, but then went to High School from 12yrs old. She wasnt behind and had a really good study ethic as a teenager. She now works in a hospital as a nurse. I don't have children, but home schooling is looking like a wonderful idea - especially with some of the school systems these days.
You never get the time back with your kiddos, they grow fast and tomorrow is never promised, so happy you choose this, more time together 🎉Cherish the family time and adventures on your homeschool journey!
I loved homeschooling my boys. The way the world is going and the way schools are run I think homeschooling is the best option if you can do it. Y’all are such a great family. Sending lots of love to all of you ❤
World is doing juuuuuust fine. It’s the infinite outrage machine people are addicted to that’s the problem. But fear sells, and people are buying it in droves. So silly.
@@raegancal4880 when I compare my school to american schools, I feel like american is way better and I would put my kids there if I had a choice between...
Hiiiii mad ❤ I absolutely love your videos so much! U inspire me so much I hope your doing well I love you so much!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ Super excited for this video
Our youngest is 2. I am HIGHLY considering homeschooling him in two years. Schools are so different these days. It’s scary what they’re teaching. Glad to hear about this curriculum before I do my research. 😊
@@BroBray2966 I highly recommend it. My oldest is 21 years old. We struggled with public school over the years. I'll never forget sending him for a long day away and then having to pay for Sylvan Learning after school to help him with reading. I barely saw him and felt so unnatural. My youngest boys are 5 and 7. They are excellent readers. So many children fell far behind in public the last few years. Too many politics and agendas that should never have entered school. I love homeschool so much that I wish I could have had this experience with my older children. Homeschool community is so welcoming. My older kids are shy. My younger boys are soooooo social and love talking with everyone regardless of their age. Kids in school are only comfortable around kids their own age. TGTB curriculum has been a blessing.
That is so awesome! So glad everything is working out for you!!! All that stuff that you were stressing out about is nothing now! You've got this!! Both of you are doing a fabulous job! So glad they still have time for dance and other extracurricular activities! I like how bible verses are incorporated. Very important! Glad that Halston dosen't have a complete break in her bone. That must have hurt!!! Enjoy your day tomw and ya'll have a wonderful weekend!
You are making the right decision to home school. You're also setting a good example of being available for your family instead of giving the job to strangers and hoping for the best.
You are doing great! my biggest regret while homeschooling is not getting out enough and doing fun educational trips ! What i did do is incorporate learning in every day stuff such as shopping i would give my kids a budget to see who could get the most out of it and healthy choices .... years later i took my sons shopping with a budget as a gift going on their own i welled up in pride at what a good job they did 😢❤ they said mom you taught us 😊❤
I loved this video!! Thank you for sharing! I plan on homeschooling my kids too and also really like The Good and The Beautiful, so it was so awesome to see it in person in your video!!! Such a beautiful and blessed family 🙏🏼🩷
Wow this definitely made me super excited for when my daughter starts going to school!! She’s barely going to turn one so it’s not until a while but I’m leaning towards homeschool! & I agree with how social my daughter is as well. I love the program that you guys are using it sounds perfect ! Thank you for sharing ❤
I love your energy. And your kids are so smart❤❤ You got the home school thing better than ever teacher I ever had!! And it’s your Mom and Dad. Every kids dream come true!!❤
I love this so much for the twins! And I love that you are doing a bunch outside of of school like art museum etc. as a future teacher I feel like school is too long and does not allow for creativity
When I hear her say a smaller chapter book .. I think of a paperback book. I always loved to read but in my day kids read comic books. Archie Betty and Veronica, Casper the Ghost, Superhero comics etc. I still love books.
It’s great the girls love to learn so much.. sounds like it works well with your busy family lifestyle … Once you get more into it, would love to hear more of the pros & cons
I am in 8th grade and have Been homeschooling my entire life, we love the good and the beautiful Some out here we use are math u see, I can read, and gather around
Don't listen to others about there annoying comments about homeschool! You are making the right choice!!!! I get those comments too they use to bug me, but not anymore
I switched to a program in high school to where half my classes were online and half were in person I had school 2-3 times a week in person one week and 2-3 days online school the next. I loved it
I was homeschooled as well only throughout high school. And I can say that it was one of the best decisions ever. I loved how flexible my schedule was but also made sure to get school done. I graduated 2 years earlier so at 16 and now I’m 20 soon to be a licensed cosmetologist 😆
Every family has the right to get there kids the education that they need ! But I never wanted to be a teacher and I know I would suck at it and my kids would walk all over me and I worked for usps full time so impossible for my family but our kids loved school and did well ❤️
Hello ur kids r so smart. An little Ollie. He is growing up so fast. He's starting to talk really good too an those big brown eyes ❤. He is gonna b a heart breaker when he grows up. An the girls r too cute theyr Mini Mama's... ❤
Chapter books to start out with would b good . Charlotte's web , an the secret garden... Anne of green gables. Ink heart too wicked good books to read...
I had problems reading when I was a kid. My mother took me to the library every week... I hated it . But guess who loves to read now because of it.... ❤😂🎉 The library is an awesome place to visit... So much history too in a library
I think they do In dance and other activities but the situation in America is heartbreaking, they are forcing lgbt ideologies into children sadly so i understand why so many people are taking there kids out of schools, best case scenario is if the government didn’t allow ideologies into people isint it the country of freedom and speech then why are they pushing lgbt ideology into every household
@isabellarose.107:certain kids also do better with less distractions and with their parents helping them learn. Plus they are homeschooling the twins they aren’t homeschooling all 5 kids. Two of them go to preschool where their parents have to pick up those 2 kids.
@@ABlendedLifethe parents help with the home school mad mentioned the parents taking the kids to the museum every day and the library Everyday like when the tutor isn’t available the parents become the teachers. Like when the tutor has a family emergency or somehow can’t make it
hey i was wondering what curriculum were you guys using for science and social studies? or are yall not adding those just doing math and language arts? - btw i’m on the first part of the video so if you answered it in the video i haven’t gotten to it yet sorry for the dumb question if you already answered it.
@seadragonpirate8195:the girls do interact with other kids outside of homeschool/school they are in dance and do stuff with neighbors and cousins and friends according to Madison.
Truly, if I lived in America.. I couldn't justify sending my child/children off to a school with the wild west gun laws and gun culture. I feel so sad for the American parents who have no choice 💔
