Pro-life is just that. It is not a bunch of people trying to tell women what to do with their bodies, it's a bunch of people trying to save the life of someone defenseless. Every one of us alive could have faced that same fate but we did not. So why not? The value of a life should never be reduced to the toss of a coin. Every life has value and they are all equal. Like it or not it took 2 people to create a life why shouldn't his opinion be considered? The problem is that we have become more and more selfish over time. There is little we can't justify just as long as it benefits me. We have birth control and abstinence as methods of preventing pregnancy. So why don't we hold people accountable for making this life-and-death decision before we have sex instead of taking a life after we roll the dice? Because we are selfish and don't want to be inconvenienced. It is evident in our high rate of failed marriages and any other decision we make that negatively impacts society. It's time we start involving empathy and morals in our decisions, as inconvenient and uncomfortable as it may be.

I'm right leaning but am pro-choice. Pregnancy causes harm and women have the right to avoid harms just like men do. The harms caused by pregnancy are significant enough to allow a woman to exercise her rights to use lethal force in self defense. Also, let's be clear that it is illegal to enslave women so you cannot force a woman to labor against her will. And for the same reasons you cannot be forced to house soldiers in your home, no woman can be forced to house a fetus within her own body. The evil is from the folks who want to deny women rights simply because they become pregnant. The problem here is the religious beliefs pushing anti-choice nonsense. Every time I hear a Christian claim they are pro-life, and when they reference religion, I know they have not actually read the Bible. Not only does the god of the Bible condone abortion, it doesn't even count the born as being worthy until they have survived, outside the womb for at least a month. The ignorance of the right on this one topic is one of the biggest anchors holding them back. The liberty of the individual used to be something the right cared about, but this anti-choice thinking runs directly contrary to that proving the right is full of lots of hypocrites and that really hurts our election chances.

Im my middle age now(37) and been with my wife for over 14yrs. We currently have no children but are planning very soon. Looking back on our time together, as quick as it has passed i do wonder. How much have and my generation been “ brainwashed “ or manipulated to not have children. To not expand out family and make new “ soldiers “ for a better tomorrow.
