Lesson learned, M6 CSL is who we should thank for our M mirrors today. This is too much for a fanboy but not enough yet 😁 My dream would be to visit the place

If V10 M5/M6 CSL were made with DCT and 5.7 9k rpm stroker, without a shadow of doubt it would be now widely regarded as 'peak M' and most collectible modern BMW. What a shame the financial crisis of 2008 didn't allow it to happen.

Wow the prototype vehicles are developed to such a high level that they look production ready. Really shows that BMW M are really mad scientists when you see the secret projects that were never revealed.

E60 M5 CSL V10 630 HP , Formula Sound , Super Super Super Sedan ... I cant imagine , I wish it was produced more, it would be epic. It would be the best sedan ever. Currently the M5 CS is the best ever.

This takes me back 23 years to when I was a BMW Durability driver out of the BMW AG engineering facility in Los Angeles. After a year I was promoted to be able to drive the original prototype X5, the prototype E46 M3 and the prototype E39 M5. Unfortunately I was not allowed to drive the prototype Z8 but I got to admire it every day when I went to work and sometimes the BMW AG engineers would drive it on my route so I got to admire it all day. Before I retire maybe I can get a job again with them here in AZ :-)

Wow these are incredible! I wish they’d made the M5. Imagine how it would be regarded today when the standard E60 is already so revered.

3 series e46, e90, 5 series 39 e60, 6 series e63. The most glorious time of BMW! As a fan of BMW for 25 years, I am very proud of you. Thanks, BMW!

Thank you for this great insight, never knew about the specs. These cars inspired us to build our own little concept car. A E46 M3 V10 + DCT ! That almost could’ve been a car you guys build. But you certainly got us inspired to do it. Thank you!

That E46 M3 CSL with the V8! Pure joy! That sound is otherwordly. And the E46 CSL still looks timeless, ageless, to this day. Thank Munich for making such beautiful cars and pieces of engineering.

Now, this is why I have so much affinity for the M brand and why I will continue to invest in getting their cars.

A DCT was available in 2006 and BMW could have had PERFECTION with the V10 M5 and M6.

The car is stunishing absolutly tremendous 👌🏻 A V8 lightwight CSL, That’s a hell of a deal 😂 Can‘t wait to see the others. But a small mistake, at 3:20 you can see S65VB40 as Engine but the E39 has a S62.

No other car manufacturer has the rich culture and heritage that BMW keeps pushing...That's why we love ///M 👌 Times when emissions and other restrictions didn't matter...😔

M3 CSL with a V8...oh mate. That should have been on the production line. 430PS in a small family saloon..in 2003...absolute madness M5 large family saloon. 630PS ABSOLUTE MADNESS! That's more than the M5 today! DCT...OH MATE WHY DID BMW NOT DISH THESE OUT?

Building an E63 M6 lightweight myself and a lot of what the CSL has is exactly what I have planned. Aside from the active aero as I will be using static aero. So wish they had been produced with the DCT. Every issue I have with this car is down to the SMG and it’s counterparts.

I have been waiting a long time on the E60 M5 CSL. I have 2010 E60 M5 with 154,000 miles. Love the car!

And from this we can all understand why Bmw is such a powerful brand and the question is...why does the brand continue to choose to be kind of a middle class brand? That M5 CSL could've been the most powerful saloon in the world for years to come and they chose to leave it in a garage 🤷🏻‍♂️ why don't they build a supercar?! It's just nonsense!

I have an E36 M3. It's my daily driver. Oh boy has it been a nightmare with maintenance. But I love the hell out of it. Despite all the plastic and oil leaks. It's my nightmare. Never getting rid of it.

That e60 M5 csl would have sold out instantly. The v8 m3 looks like a service nightmare, but the most ambitious and polished of the group shown.

The active spoiler on the M6 CSL was everything i needed to see today.

I credit my ancestors from Strasburg who came to the US nearly 400 years ago for my love of everything BMW, loved the video.

So it’s basically a garage full of cars that should have been and put into production, even as special models. That we will never experience because the world is going toward electrification. Honestly it is bittersweet. I’m glad that BMW shows that they are experimenting. But disappointed that even if limited production was available, it never happened.

Ich bin gerade überwältigt und fassungslos. Dieser M5 V10 ist Serie schon ein Wahnsinns-Wagen aber mit 630 echten Sauger PS und dann noch einem schnellen Getriebe. Danke das ihr so etwas Sensationelles gebaut habt.

That bmw m5 csl is insane, that would be most powerful sedan until 2022, power is insane, rev up to 9000 rpms is insane and better gearbox, I cant understand why they didnt choose to make these m5 csl that would be best car bmw ever made

I don’t know if we should be happy to see these cars or disappointed. The cries for M5 CSL truly shows that a decision to not produce a second iteration of E60 M5 may have been a miss, yet the world will forever know that there is only 1 version of BMW V10 for general production designated as S85. Iconic.

Can you believe that after all these AMAZING cars, they came up with the XM to celebrate 50 years of M-Division? ;(

M6 V10 with active aero 🚗💨 😍😍😍 What he said is completely true I had a 335i GT F34 and the front became very unstable at over 150km/h because of the active wing at the back.
