You know what would be a cool addition in the description? - A link to a song for each featured band, one that most inspired you on their style, and/or best represents it. Like IDK, Gray Sublime Archon for Eluveitie for example.
You guys deserve those 1M views! This has to be my favourite version of this meme. You guys clearly put countless hours of effort into making this amazing, and for that, I give you mad props!
Heavy Metal Industrial Metal Nu Metal Doom Metal Power Metal Thrash Metal Progressive Metal Russian Polka Metal Folk Metal Melodic Death Metal Symphonic Metal Alternative Metal
@@DarknessOfRedboneI could go on a rant about how fucking bland and tasteless A7X has been ever since like Nightmare came out but they're genuinely so boring I'm just gonna roll with it.
I couldnt quite get into them but Nightwish is my all time favorite band so i like the niche they're both in. What Eluviete songs would yall recommend?
When I first saw this video over 2 years ago, I barely listened to metal and didn’t know that much about it. THIS SINGLE MEME VIDEO introduced me to A7X, Periphery, Black Sabbath, Metallica, and Sonata Arctica, and I started listening to other metal bands from there like BTBAM, Megadeth, Sodom, (old) In Flames, Dream Theater, and many more. Metal is now my favorite genre of music and even though you probably won’t see this comment, I’d like to thank you for introducing me to it
I love that the Periphery cover is playing and when the vocalists screams go, robbie rotten shouts "Throw it at him, not me! thats somewhat gives me a chuckle.
If Stefan Karl Stefansson were alive to see this, I’m sure he’d be flattered. Or at least have a good laugh. Edit: I realise he was still alive when this video came out, I was just wondering how he'd react if he saw it. Either way, RIP.
it sounded more like DSO than the Russkaja bit. But, tbh, it's just nice that super niche bands like that are getting a little recognition at all instead of endlessly riffing on well-known groups like Pantera or Meshuggah or whatever.
@@iamstewpit6740 I was scrolling through a playlist of mine which has a bunch of We Are Number One memes in, and this video was in there, which reminded me of the comment. I then checked to see how many likes it had, and it had 117!
Avenged Seventfold = Heavy Metal + Metalcore Marilyn Manson = Alternative + Industrial Metal Korn = Nu + Industrial Metal Black Sabbath = Heavy Metal Sonata Arctica = Power Metal Metallica = Thrash Metal + Speed Metal Periphery = Progressive Metal Russkaja = Ska Punk + Folk Metal Eluveitie = Folk + Celtic Metal Diablo Swing Orchestra = Swing Revival + Avant-Grade Metal Nightwish = Gothic + Symphonic Metal System of a Down = Nu + Progressive Metal
If Avenged Sevenfold actually did a cover of We Are Number One, I'd totally support it. Mainly because their style is probably the best one in the video. Although the Marilyn Manson, Metallica, and Russkaja versions are good too.
Oh watch me. I can name every style: 1. Melodic Metalcore 2. Industrial Metal 3. Nü Metal 4. Doom Metal 5. Power/Speed metal 6. Thrash Metal 7. Djent 8. Ska? Wtf?! 9. Folk Metal 10. Avant-Garde Metal 11. Symphonic Metal 12. ??? 13. Alternative Metal
cyndie26 the instruments yeah I can kinda hear it. The vocals really make the difference. Maybe I need to listen to some A7X again to see if they sound like dethklok more often...
I showed this to my mate randomly one day. Now he's really into metal, he literally plays nightwish everyday all day long. I don't have the heart to tell him how much he has missed. TL:DR : this video managed to be the gateway for one of my friends
