6 pipes is plenty. I have more but I find I often smoke only about 7 of them most of the time. The only pipe smokers I know of in my family were my great grandparents. This was my mom's mother's parents. They smoked corn cob pipes. Not sure if they made them but some say it's possible by what they remember. Not sure what they smoked. Our family grew tobacco so it could have been that they smoked. My mom told me of people making chewing tobaccos and adding flavors to it and such. Unfortunately they passed before I was born.
