maths in japan and india are on the same level and japanese people are sometimes even better than maths than indian poeple. indian people are obviously still better at maths than most ''western' countries but maths in japan is WAY harder (as someone who has experienced both schools and ive been in the british education system too)

@@fruitycola5090 maybe. But my point is not harder/easier. We are literally forced to do good in "Mathematics" Parents won't ask you/applaud you for your marks in Humanities/English, but would always be curious for What marks you got in Math, Why didn't you get full marks and all. So the culture itself is "math heavy" maybe that's why Indians are seen as more analytically sound. Math is a matter of prestige in India. Math is ingrained in our society. However, as soon as he get appointment in Defense service and his initial posting is North=East India, where no one will able to understand his Tamil language, so now he must have to learn local language, like Assamese, Hindi or Bengali. There children are also roaming with its parents as per the posting of the Defense personal all over India and automatically they are leaning different languages of India. This is the case happening to other sector employees also and their children becoming more and more efficient in all aspects.

They have to come up with ingeneous solutions to there problems most of the time to tackle the problems. So the become innovative naturally. The indian society set a high standard for education because they have to face too many competition in the future because of low job and population ratio.

1)qn India 1to 10 standard is school, 11&12 is mainly highschool (junior college in Maharashtra state) 2)total 3 boards are there 1.state board (in local and English language) 2.CBSE board(harder than state board,in English language only) 3.ICSE board (Hardest among all, English only) 3)In India there are soo many languages and not everyone know our National language Hindi, so our constitution in Hindi but our official language for working is English mainly. 4) People From different states communicate In Hindi or English mainly. But if you are good at English then it'll help you to work easily in any state in India. 5)In India everyone use basic English in everyday life because most of written things like sign boards, product name , product price, social media etc is in English. 6) to work efficiently in any state of India one must know English very well. So everyone focus on learning English at very young age , most of students prefer to study in English medium school. 7) India has so much population and very young population compared to Japan, so Graduated people of India is so many and that's why there is no enough jobs for large graduated people. 8) nowadays Indians are having this mindset that if they're living in foreign countries then they are cool, so everyone is focusing on English so that they have more opportunities to work.

Idk your age but situation is very opposite rn lol. National level boards, are generally, esp. CBSE, the easier boards in India lol. What i mean by difficulty here is difficulty to "score". Some state boards like Maharashtra, UP, WB etc are a lot harder to score not because they have a difficult curriculum which is not a good thing at all lol. Mostly if you need full marks in any questions you would need to answer word to word or step to step according to their ans keys. A shitty practice to say the least since they are not bothered with your knowledge. Difficulty is not equal to competition for schools in india though. In terms of competitiveness and education quality national boards are definitely better. I am speaking from personal experience. I have studied in 3 boards in total now.

The three kinds of education boards in India are:- 1) State Board (varies from state to state) 2) CBSE (National level. Mainstream. English is used only to pass exams. Nobody gives a shit abt English outside. Not even the teachers.) 3) ICSE (National level. Mainstream but most ppl change to CBSE for their 11-12th since the level is beyond a normal person's understanding *as I've heard from my peers who came from ICSE background*) 10th, 11th, and 12th grades are considered really important in India. In 10th grade, you've gotta give Board Exams which will determine the stream suitable for your intermediate studies. There are four streams you can choose after the 10th grade. 1. PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English. People who take this stream usually lean towards taking the engineering college entrance exam called JEE main/advance) 2. PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English. Stream for pursuing medicine and taking the medical entrance exam called NEET) 3. Commerce (Business studies, economics, applied mathematics, English) 4. Arts (History, Political Science, Economics, English) Usually, the competition for JEE and NEET exams is very huge within the country. Every year, millions of people take these exams to get a seat in an engineering/ medical college. People take drops to qualify for their dream colleges. It works out for some people but many are left disappointed. The cost of private college is high. There is only one way to qualify for the Ivy League government colleges and that is:- Get a good score and a good All India Rank.

Then there are state level boards which has different a different syllabus according to the state you're living in. Usually the state board is really harsh when it comes to mathematics and science and pays more attention to the local languge of that region instead of english, there is english as a subject of course but the subjects are taught in the local language. You can still opt to study the subjects in english itself in state board too though. After 12th, you give entrance exams for the graduation you want to do and enter a college.

So le'me introduce u to Indian education system. Basically there are many state boards like rajasthan board, up board etc Nd national boards like ICSE , CBSE board's (I'm cbse board) So difference is state board students competition is between state's student's nd cbse or icse's competition is all over the country coz cbse nd icse school exams are done all over India ... So what's 10,12?? We call 10 as High school Nd 12 as intermediate. Ok , in States like Maharashtra students can go to college right after doing 10 that's High school like other countries But it's important to do 10,12 everywhere nd after that go to college..to graduate in whatever subject u want to. So question is why majority of Indians.. specially this 80's,90's generation is fluent in english.. So the reason is we study English as a subject from the very start and it's compulsory like other subjects (eng, math's, science, social science,Hindi,Marathi/Bengali (depends on state board) Nd English is around us .. Nd u know what Indians are really good in general knowledge... I'm telling u I've seen that many foreign students don't know abt their country or world...but here in our country maximum majority knows That what's going on in the country or neighbour country or in Europe... In India there's so much hype of mathematics and science nd tbh we are good at this too again not everyone coz many people hate this too....but i can confidently say that even though my maths is bad but I'm better than foreigners... Don't get offended I'm Just telling.. Hope it will help u to understand our education system...

Everyone is saying about the national boards. Let me tell about the State Boards. I have studied in a Bengali medium government school. In state boards we have to study every subjects in the local language like me I studied every subjects in Bengali till 12th standard. But we have a compulsory English subject. Then in college in West Bengal the science subjects are in English like physics, chemistry or maths and the arts subjects like history, political science, educational science or geography in Bengali. Even if we haven't studied in English medium school many are good in English , there are alsoany who are not that good in English.

I don't think in India have lack of jobs actually the prime reason is competition is too high compare to Japan and one thing our country population is too much so the manpower of our country is also high He also forgot about CBSE board and ICSE board and after that came state boards simple way to explain but he choose the vast one but not completely explain Thankyou 🙏🏼
