10 years after the upload of this clip I arrived here by a little known PS3 that I was actualy playing not so long ago... a game called Need For Speed: Most Wanted. That's where I heard this song for the very first time from a band that I've never heard of before. So I just wanted to give a little shout out to Criterion Games for making We Are The Ocean - The Road a part of the games soundtrack... because it is a totally badass song! Really love it! Saw them on Tuesday in Exeter. They were so fucking good, it was unbelievable. For a pretty small band, they are really good live. Hopefully they will become really big!

Guys dont worry! Dan hasnt left the band, he has just taken a back seat when it comes to performing so he can focus on being the bands manager, i reckon their will be a feature or two from him on the new album.
I don't see where people get that from. In the statement he said that he thought he was "better in managing the band then he was at being in it". Not that he would actually become WATO's manager. People change en grow and so do bands. Apparently the band and Dan grew in different directions. That's life. I'm sad that he left, but the new songs are amazing too. Can't wait to hear the new record.
just stumbled upon We Are The Ocean and love em - I know, I'm late to the party! Just wondering what genre do people consider them to be in? They seem to just be regular rock with the occasional screamo injected in, does that make them melodic hardcore?
+AndysEdits well, you could say that, but once you go through all there songs, you see that it's always changing (significantly with each album anyway). Take any song from there first and latest album and you'll see what i mean
