Would you ever consider doing a College football 25 series I really enjoyed your 2k18 gm content and would love to see something similar from you again!
Ok, Ellie's expression in that fan art is just exceptional. You can just see her thinking "Gosh... is this really a good idea? I mean, you're smart, bro, but... seriously?" The hoodie with a thrumbo on it is a nice touch too.
Once enough mechs have been introduced to the colony you should think about adding the ideology precept that increases work speed of mechanical pawns. I know it lowers work speed of colonists but they are already taking a hit with the raiding meme, so it might be something to look into.
you should set up snow clearing zones in your non heated roofed areas to help your pawns move faster, since thick and heavy snow on the ground slows down your pawns movement tremendously!
Man, just imagining all these mental breaks, all these people skittering around in a hellish little existence constantly freaking out, I understand why they would turn to raiding!
Just imagine, you are suffering from panic attacks, the last one made you schizophrenic, you get out of that state just to see someone punching walls, you turn around and elpis is invoking beasts beyond your comprehension, that is how i imagine tantrums in rimworld lol.
Eventhough I strongly feel that having a deathless Elpis is the best choice, I think Nightshade needs it just a tad bit more because making Nightshade deathless ties quite well into her arch of recovery from near death. :-) They deserve it a bit more than our fan favourite child.
I think Elpis would be best as a Sanguophage for the all around great skills, while perhaps Ellie or Nightshade could be a Viskelaer. If Ellie is chosen, maybe Nightshade or Naseem could get the Very Happy gene. I imagine having all your organs being rotted out is not very fun.
Potentially giving Elpis the very happy gene would perhaps be a good idea down the line; he'll hit his growth stage soon, and it means you wont be forced to choose between improvements to mental fortitude! Though, considering his role, I feel like that's a fairly minor conern 😅 But perhaps a bionic spine for Nightshade or Lauren, and the deathless perk for Nightshade could also be really good.
It only makes sense that Elpis and Ellie become Vampires. They are young, useful, they have proven themselves, and both of them as well as both of their gene donors were part of the colony that worshipped sangiphages. It only makes sense.
Stabilizing mood and more bionics. Deathless for Jay, as solo tanking gets more difficult without more ghoul research. I'd also second snow shoveling where it may be useful.
I love how Pete successfully sets threats up against each other. Cool to see the Diabolus vs. the wolves. The wolves had it, but the fuel and fire wave did make it tense for a moment.
The Signal Chip you just got doesn't need to be saved for another Mechanitor. Using it will simply unlock the next tier of mech research, which then lets you craft it into equipment that they can equip or implant into themselves.
I never laughed at anything Rimword-related as hard as I did at that wolf spawn on the mech boss. Happy to see Nightshade survive her doom, and I think she could be a nice new smurf person courtesy of Maniac. He's already protecting the others - this would be a form of protection for her that'd help against things Maniac's amazing martial skill cannot solve, like disease and weirdness. Consider it a form of welcome for her into the fold. Really like how the tone stays consistent, dark but with a softer human side to it, brighter currents mixing with the horror, and the occasional hilarious moments too.
Hey Pete, I sent over a piece of fanart last week, think I may have slid straight into your junk because yay technology. This series made me bite the bullet and pick up Anomaly so thanks for that! Great stuff as always :D
you probably could get the improved mechanoid workspeed on the next reforming of ideology, it would fit with your developments of automated labor as well as working further to show the Pandrothi distaste for manual labor?
Nightshade should become the pseudo vampire. Not only is her body decaying. For lore purposes Nightshade is a cool name for a near immortal vampire and also it would be wicked to see her become a half robot vampire being.
Nightshade gets the immune gene, it will help when the bad kidney eventually fails. Elpis gets the Viskelaer genes and Vullek the happy gene. I kind of think Ellie should remain (mostly) human with only some basic QoL genes added like immunity and happy perhaps.
Wouldn't some of that wood from the tribal base have been useful to bring back? Can fibercorn in hydroponics for wood not much, but it is reliable way to get it on the ice sheet.
