Sometimes when you DIGDeeper, it involves walking alongside others in their shoes and sharing with them what we often take for granted... Something as simple as access to clean water.
Water is life. But in Uganda, clean water is not what you get every day. Many children have to walk miles and miles just in search of dirty water that they get from ponds, stagnant water, rain harvest, and other unclean water sources. They suffer water-borne diseases like typhoid, dysentery, skin rashes, and infections causing them to miss school and even build new hospitals for those affected.
Joe Knopp, founder of the company Ripple and its nonprofit entity, We Are The Ripple, knew it was time to make a change. Through selling Ripple Water Bottles, their team has begun building wells in the neediest communities, hospitals, and schools across Uganda.
When we heard of the work Ripple is doing to help solve the water crisis, we knew we had to be a part of the mission.
