I want to see a cooking training arc for Chris after which he makes Sharla the 5 star homecooked meal she deserves for putting up with his antics, haha.
Some live action food wars vibes, get the guys that make fast food adds involved (like the slow mo drops of the ingredients falling into the burger etc) and I recon we’re onto a winner!
Chris cooking and trying to level up his skills in the kitchen would be interesting to watch. Sharla shouldn't have to suffer all the time, so make the Trash Taste Boys try his meals. Or have him and Connor compete. : D
I was screaming when he just about to put all those seaweed in the soup. You're supposed to soak it in water for at least 2 hours or wash it thoroughly under running water. They use salt to preserve the seaweed's texture. Of course the soup tastes like sea water based on the way you cooked it 🤣
"Have you tasted it?" "Not recently." 😂😂😂 Poor Sharla! I'm not even a good cook but I laughed and winced through that whole video. TC - please send him on a proper cooking course, I would definitely watch that!
Ya, I'm not even that great of a cook either, but I was cringing seeing Chris do so many amateur mistakes. Like when he didn't wait for the electric stove to heat up. Unlike a gas stove, you need to give an electric stove a minute to warm up before you use it. So he was cooking eggs on a stove that had inconsistent heat. Or how he was scraping metal utensils across the bottom of the pan. I hope he bought Sharla new pans after that, because scraping metal on the pans is how you destroy them.
I would love to see Chris continue an Abroad in a Pan series. Watching him stumble and bumble his way from pure muppetry to halfway decent home cook is a journey I'm excited for!
This is great! I would love to see Chris on a cooking journy across Japan, in which he learns to cook new dishes from different prefectures. But perhaps a cooking course first, to support the healthy life style he's trying to adopt.
Me yelling: "rice! Start the rice!" Oh, he used some instant rice 😐😂 With everyone asking for more Abroad in a Pan videos, can Tokyo Creative provide some stunt double non-stick pans? The spoon scratching it part was😳
She was vegetarian then vegan. I think she went back to being a vegetarian. It's much harder to be vegan in Japan than vegetarian. Or she is still vegan but ate the food for Chris and the video
Sharla mentioned in her recent Q&A video that she grew up mostly vegetarian and for a bit was a strict vegan, but it caused trouble with work and making videos with local governments since being vegan is not as commonplace in Japan so now she's closer to vegetarian
@@velvetsrose Vegans are more likely to have thyroid issues espeically if they don't supplement properly so that's probably why she wanted to start incorporating more animal products
Watching Chris trying to get maru(?) of the table was absolutely hilarious. You can just see that he's holding himself back from pushing the cat off the table because the camera is there lmfao.
I'll be honest, at 14:14 when Chris was getting the cat of the table, the other cat walked past the door way at the same time and I thought it was a mirror.😂
Watching Chris cook is like watching a train derailment in that you can’t just turn away. If Chris can be disciplined and cut weight he can use that same discipline to become a passable cook. What a partner Sharla is to stomach his attempts. Lets see Chris try Okonomiyaki next.
I really enjoyed this.. Very cosy and funny. Chris trying to get the cat off the table was so funny and cute. Looking forward to Chris making lunch, dinner and dessert!!
Please do more abroad in a pan lmao 🤣 you have the ideal set for it, at least. Imagine a Japanese chef trying to teach Chris to cook... priceless content.
Ryosuke, @ChampsJapaneseKitchen taught him how to make fried chicken, he did pretty well there. Definitely should be more "teaching Chris how to cook things" videos 😁
I absolutely loved this video and definitely want to see more Abroad in a Pan! Couldn't stop laughing when Chris got the scissors out to cut the seaweed while it was still in the pan! 😂 Poor Sharla's face when she tried the soup, absolutely priceless. Please, you have to give us more of these videos, they're so much fun to watch! 😁
A couple years ago I partipated in Japanese cooking course and Japanese omelette (Tamagoyaki) was one of those things we made. Usually when cooking lessons ended we could take a couple of sushi pieces and bring them back to home. By the way, Japanese have special rectangle shaped frying pan for Tamagoyaki. It easier to flip next part by using this pan. It was funny how Maru has occupied table. Yes.. more Abroad In A Pan series.. cooking is useful skill and people never stop eating...
More Abroad in a pan please 😂😁I love the face Sharla made when she sees the table. It's polite and scared 😅or at least that would be how I feel. And she was right to do so. 😂
I want to see more of these episodes-I also think that it would be cool to have Champs Kitchen coach Chris through a meal and then have Chris repeat the process and see how well he does.
Goodness gracious, when was this recorded? Chris is looking great! He's also getting muscular, look at those biceps and shoulders! ----- 2:52 - _''Cocaine'' (Sugar also works)_ - AHAHAHAHA Honestly, I'd *_REALLY_* love to see an actual and proper ''Abroad in a Pan'' show - with proper studio setup, camera angles and all - not only would it be really entertaining, but it'd showcase Chris' evolution as a cook, or at least an evolution of his cooking skills. It'd be great to compare the first episodes to the most recent ones after months or years
Not the last episode pleaaaase. Your audience demands more suffering for entertainment. Lets go 100 episodes of Abroad in a Pan until Chris makes it to masterchef!
1:28 😄 I love how he ignores the "no cam" sticker at the front door (btw some shops in Tokyo have an extra big "Camera OK" Sticker. Saw it at Daiso for example.. Just make sure to not annoy anybody and you're good. 😊
this is not in her own channel, it's tokyo creative... but thinking about your logic, if a woman (any woman) starts dating a successful guy, it can't possibly be because she genuinely likes him... it's only because she expects to obtain something from him (money, success). So, from it, you can conclude that successful men are never worthy of genuine love, right?
This was a very cute episode and it was fun to see Chris out of his element but still making a good effort. I would unironically enjoy more Abroad in a Pan episodes and see Chris' cooking skills bloom!
Sharla's cat looking at him like "sharla please dont let this man ever step foot in the kitchen again" 🤣 I lost it after sharla pointed out he put rice in the CAT dishes LMAOOOOO. BRUH after 10 years in japan how does this happen???
The chaotic joy of watching a Brit cook a Japanese breakfast in the kitchen of a Canadian, and the utter confusion when faced with (I think) American cups
For future episodes, might not be a bad idea to add a link to a local Japanese food bank we can donate to, for all the food that Chris will be destro... I mean, cooking 🙃
Very nice Chris. You remind me of a good friend down in OWL. He likes cooking Curry with me. You are such a good person. Last Christmas I gave you my heart, but the very next day you gave it away. This year will save me from tears to give it to someone special. Keep up the good work. A merry Christmas. Is it Boxing Day already? Aaah fuck, I had some Tiger Beer from Singapore today. Anyway, enjoy your mistle toe Miso Soup. Only Love from Germany.
Would love to see more “Abroad in a Pan” episodes! I would also like to see Natsuki, Risottoro, the Trash Taste Boys, etc. join in on the cooking fun.👍🏻
i never used cook books how to cook ,and when baking i did to remind me of the weight of flour etc for all the many different things i baked.we never ate out.
As an amateur chef to a non chef, I thought you did alright there mate, especially with the egg. Japanese omelette seems way overly complicated, but I bet it tastes lovely. Texture and flavour. Yours looked good too, not fancy good but good. If you are at all arsed, there are a couple of super simple chef tricks and your food would be even better. There's something special about home-cooked food. :)
