To me, the most fascinating thing about Jomboy Media is not only their incredible ability to hit such a wide scope of topics/content consistently and successfully, but how they "plug and play" all their on-air talent perfectly into each topic/activity. Almost like a coach drawing up plays or a lineup. Jimmy, Nicky, and Joez are a perfect combo for the apple picking. The teams for the corn maze were perfect. And if you ask me why, its so hard to put into words. What a great gang of people they got there.
This was the perfect trio for these. Joez because he generally just hates nature, Nicky because he is good at talking about things, and Jimmy because he knows so much about them
I live in Washington State..so by law all washationians have to have a degree in apple consumption- and I found thus video highly entertaining amd hope these three do more food and drink adventures
Never had an Autumn Crisp, but if it’s anything like a Cosmic Crisp which was developed by Washington State University, then I agree with their winner. The Crisp family of apples are definitely the juiciest, best textured fruits you can buy. I remember reading about the Cosmic years before they were available in my state and then going wild when they finally hit our shelves. Top tier apple for sure!
Found some cosmic crisp in the clearance produce the other day. Looked a little worse for the ware. Best apple I've ever had. I might take a petit honey crisp over the cosmic was a for sure 9.6 apple.
Honeycrisps probably weren't available for them if they went this late in the fall. We usually have to search the Honeycrisp trees pretty hard to find some edible leftovers once you get into the second week in October. Nothing better than a fresh one off a tree though.
In my opinion, absolutely nothing beats a fresh, crispy Golden Delicious. Also, we need more tasting on the channel. Beer! Wine! Clam chowder! Taste all the things!
I am a part of an Apple Sampling Society (ASS for short) in Canada and I've never heard of some of these! Looks fun to try...though my favourite apples are the Honeycrisp, or the Silken apples. Quick note if anyone ever does go apple picking - please make sure the pick them "upside down". The bottom of the apple is called the eye, so make sure when picking apples off of trees, you pick them "eye" to the sky. (helps to preserve the trees for annual picking). Thanks all!
Had a similar experience at an orchard this year. Tried a whole bunch of them And for me the winner was Melrose. I'm disappointed they didn't try that. Melrose, Mutsu, and Ambrosia. Ambrosia was strange, but I liked it.
Unpopular opinion... all apples suck. They are the most overrated of all the fruits. Apple juice on the other hand... a different story. Absolutely phenomenal.
