Aw bummer! It's a pretty new restaurant and has only been open a few weeks, so it was easy to miss (and Brandon didn't even know what it was called or when it opened, so you're not alone!). Based on this first visit, we would recommend it if you're going to Disney Springs! 😍
@@kennyking4980 So far, no! We got reservations a few days out easily and were also able to adjust our reservation time the day before with no issue too. We used the OpenTable reservation system to book it! Hope that helps!
Wow it was awesome to see Mama Joy, her eating the truffle fries was cracking me up 😂 to bad papa Randy didn’t go with you but loved seeing her again! Sounds like Summer House did a good job with allergies I think I would be happy with just the appetizers! BTW I love your DCL ship and pictures!❤
Mama Joy was definitely enjoying those truffle fries, that's for sure! 🤣 Hopefully, we can get Papa Randy back for another video again soon too! We really did enjoy Summer House on the Lake and can't wait to go back again. Oh yay DCL stuff! That entire office area is our DCL cruise nook. I (Sarah) was actually sitting on a DCL chair, and we have one of the old steamer trunks from the staterooms too (thanks to Mama Joy & Papa Randy for gifting them to us!). We even have a fish extender from the staterooms on display too! So fun! 🚢

This may need to be added to our list of restaurants to try when we come down in December. 😊 I need to talk to you (Sarah) about Raglan Road sometime. When we went there in 2022 I was told that they did not recommend me eating the gf fish and chips. That was the whole reason I wanted to go there so I ended up not eating while Adrian and a friend of ours did. Their protocols were very confusing.
We definitely recommend it! Raglan Road for the past several years has been advising folks to proceed with caution on any fried GF items due to a shared filtration system. My understanding is that all the oil from all of the fryers go to the same filter, and they have noted that there's a potential that some of the old oil could pop back up into the fryer during the filtration process. I do know that they use fresh oil in the GF fryer daily, so the oil itself isn't contaminated and recycled. We haven't eaten there a few times since they started letting guests know about this and haven't gotten sick (but also didn't order a ton of fried stuff), but everyone definitely has to use their own comfort and judgement on eating there. I hope that helps some!
I probably should have asked to speak with a chef. That is not how it was explained to me. Our waitress wasn’t very clear and when I asked further questions I was told the chef didn’t recommend celiacs eat anything that comes out of the fryer.

Hey guys, we’re visiting Summer house in March and I’m so excited. Do you know if the batter for the fish & chips had egg in it? I’m assuming it does but just thought I’d ask.
Yes! You can make reservations both on the My Disney Experience App and also through Open Table (which we find often has more availability). We would definitely recommend a reservation, because the restaurant is often pretty busy, but you might be able to get a walkup at off times!
