I bought a new C280 in 1996 and it lasted 25 years before I started to have a few mechanical issues and traded it in. GREAT CAR - it served me well for a long time!!
In 1999 I bought a 94 C280 with only 14k miles on it, mint condition. I put 13 years and 255k miles on it and I miss it so much. Such a great little car and that m104 straight six is such a sweet, peppy, reliable engine.
As an original owner, I still own and drive my black 1996 Mercedes Benz C220 with 239,000 miles purchased it new at Mercedes Benz of Monterey (formerly Stahl Motor Co) Engine, timing chain, and transmission is still original. During my ownership I have replaced some typical wear and tear parts on the car however the car runs great. Thank you for sharing! My Best, M.L.
My younger sister had a 96’ model as well, solid little car and the I-6 wasn’t bad at all. I ended up with a 2000 model and still miss both of those W202’s to this day
I had two 202 and liked them much. Both had a lot of rust at the end. Your C280 it is in such a good shape, very good equipped and seems to have no rust at all. BTW I still have the C43 AMG wheels for this car which I always mounted to my W202s. I appreciate your channel a lot since I'm also a Mercedes enthusiast. Greetings from Germany
Thanks for sharing this video, I’m planning to buy a 96 Mercedes c280 And I’m watching every video I can on this model and year , the one I’m buying has 112,000 miles and is almost in the same condition as yours, it has both key fobs, the tool kit etc and the full maintenance records , the only thing that doesn’t work is the factory stereo which is not a big deal to me.
Have you heard of any one who had issues with audio not working after changing the battery in a c280 mine quit working after changing the battery the radio comes on with code and stations lock in but no audio after changing the battery
I just bought a very clean 1997 with 104k for $500 from a 1 owner senior. Bought the car to flip it, but im liking it at lot. Feels like the good old benz built
i just bought the same engine and same car...its 27 years old car, i pay 1000 dollar for car, and i will invest a 700-800 dollar, but after 3 year from now it will be an old timmer, 30 years old car....with that engine, in EU you can get now a 3000€ but in 3 years from now you can get even 6000.....and it is a really cool old school German car....TOP
Had my 99 c280 for 6 months 105k miles bought it for $2,000 i got kn filter, y pipe, magnaflow muffler and im about to get a ecu tune, this is my 2nd w202, my first one was a 2000 c230 kompressor i had a few years ago these models are great cars bulletproof engines the c230k was more fun and faster but the c280 is much smoother, quieter and has way better interior, both base models

Wow I wonder what went through your heads when you saw this car, from this video it looks brand new. I cant recall myself considering a w202, but if I saw this and it was a good deal it would be super tempting :) if its not a secret how much did you pay for it?
The Conforti Brothers Thats a good deal and with that maintenance record and milage it probably could be a daily driver. I wonder what is the rust situation underneath... I got 2003 w211 which I love very dearly, but due the climate where I live and with few bumps there and there during fishing trips bottom is getting very rusty to the point where soon it will no longer be safe... what is the soundproof quality in this w202?
Ain't bad , I'm might be getting a 2016 c300 or a 2018 Alfa Romeo or a 2007 Porsche Cayman and I'm just 16 been saving up and gonna be spending a good amount so but one of them out for cash so I hoe to see sum more different cars on this channel
