Cars from 60s and 70s had different keys for ignition/doors than trunk/glove box. The ignition was a square head for Ford and GM. The trunk/glove box had a round key. That was for having the car serviced only needed the ignition key.
"Service vehicle" as in cop cars. Fire trucks. Ambulances. Military, that kind of thing. They came with single keys for simplicity sake. "Anyway..." back at you
Woodgrain nardi steering all the way That car sounded like jumanji beats😂😂 Nice score. Donor cars are the best investments. Project ends up costing half as the sale of the Xtra parts supplement the build
This is a parts car dream. I mean it has everything you need to make a clean solid body Mustang completely Sick! You are correct! That body is Toast! The thing is, It has all the goodies you need to make a super clean shell into a Fantastic Mustang Restomod!
Crazy how those Mustangs are similar in color. Great choice to part it ok. I’d use the engine from the wreck mustang. But go fuel injections. Also I bet that transmission got busted from the wreck. Great work Marc as usually. ❤❤
Hurts to see, but parts are cheap and so simple to work on, take the back seat out to get in the trunk Headlights are amazon specials theyre the same size as any jeep get something a little more fitting in there
What a great episode for bot cars. I’m excited to see the work done on the Mustang and in love with the evolving GT3 Porsche. Thank you so much., Guys.
There is a round head key for the truck on old Fords. You got an awesome deal on the car. The engine probably has a crushed pipe at the exhaust manifold and it may be forcing backpressure into the block. I will be watching to see you build this great car!
that mustang build in a week is a great goal but im gonna tell you from experience that it dont work like that your gonna have missing stuff, broken stuff , shit that dont work i dont want to hurt your feelings but this is what happens good luck bro your killin it a few more years and you will be workin for your self
Matt's a pretty good cameraman.Awesome shots. The 'Stang will look Awesome with the new stuff. The gauge said about 7K miles,so that engine is fresher.Beefy cam too.Porche does look New ahgain.Great work!
the old porker is coming on nicely - do love that colour - Mexico Blue hmmmm and the mustang looks like a cracking project - wow i'd forgot about the straight one, i remember it being painted when you had pretty much just started working there, will be a great project so true, nice to take stuff off and put in the new car
The ignition switch on that car is obviously from a 1965 or 66 mustang. Starting in 1967. They had one of those two-way keys which you could put in either way. The trunk lock is still a 67 lock that uses a two-way key. I hope this helps.
Understand not everyone has unlimited budget, that’s a not a bad buy at all, Front suspension is stock not coilovers, 8 inch rear end too Barry Grant steering wheel Good luck, oh I’d throw those headlights in the bin 😀😀😀
Look son!! I got you a fully restored high performance Mustang for your 11th grade graduation present to go with your brand new driver license. No more riding that BMX bicycle. Whoops, don’t get your new pant leg stuck in that chain.
A kid at work told me, his Dad gave him a completely restored and updated 67' Mustang for his 17th Birthday . He said he totalled it, just 2 weeks later . This..could be the same car ...😳
They don't want to fix they want the parts, I don't remember the caramo that was restored was hit harder then that car, the caramo is looking good now.
They ain’t nobody else that could get the 400 down that stretch any faster and on that same note she will weighs a lot less than any body else that would be trying it so she has a natural advantage over others
You're going to have to regap the whole front end on the black mustang, because you should have started with the doors first, not last. You'll figure it out
If the radiator isn't hurt or the driveline I would take the car to car shows maybe lol..My brother had a big ol 64 4door Oldsmobile that the passengers side was banged up bad and he drove it everywhere ...It'd smoke the tires at 30mph and it was a big ol family car with a 431 or 421 big block engine and it ran really good. He took it to a drag track but I don't remember what the ET was..He found a big ol Buick body that was in nice shape but the engine was bad and he put everything out of the Oldsmobile in the Buick and it didn't run anything like that banged up car did..I'm pretty sure if he'd changed the rearend it'd ran the same as the Oldsmobile did. The doors worked and I don't know how cause it shouldn't been allowed on the roads but in the early 70s the police didn't bother people cause they knew everyone drove what they could afford..I'm hoping yall can get the Mustang going again cause it looks brand new inside and once upon a time the whole car looks like it was a show car..Good luck with it...
