Don’t forget price check, I loved working at my Best Buy but selling tts was encouraged heavily.. I would tell customers to just take my phone number and I would help them after I got off work for a fraction of the price, I get the value TTS but a lot of my customers don’t have $200 to just throw at their sons broken hard drive on their laptop

@@B31L it is true i got my 10900k and everything else besides my gpu at best buy at or below msrp on an all corsair build....and i was able to pick it all up same day..plus its great peace of mind when all your hardware is from a store you can easily return or exchange something instead of dealing with online bs..

March of 2020, My wife gets told to work from home. I sprang into action and I picked up a Cyberpower ryzen 7 3700 + RX5700xt from Best Buy. It's maybe slightly OP for what she does and the RGB drives her nuts :) But it's a beast of system when she lets me use it. After that, everything seemed to dry up, so I feel very lucky.

@@Nytino Well, 2070 Super is going for around $850. That leaves you with $450 for the rest of the system which realistically is not that much. You would need to cut corners if you want 11th or God forbid 12th gen Intel CPU.

i have had an pc from best buy and it isnt that bad i bough it for 750 and upgraded ram to 16gb for about 80$ and i can run warzone at about 60-70 fps and most gaems at 70-90

there is a larger variant of the pc you bought that is better than the one you got. it comes default with liquid cooling, a full size motherboard and has 2 2.5' hard drives

I have a laptop I got from there that is basically a rebadged Clevo. With a couple of minor updates, like adding another 16gb of RAM to make it 32gb dual channel, add a second NVMe drive and a SATA drive for extra storage, and it is a beast with a standard mobile 2070 (not Max-Q) and an i7 8750-H. CPU needed undervolting to bring down the temps but that helped get it more stable, that is an issue with the exact CPU, not the model or anything.

The newer models of these come with 2 sticks of ram. Also seems like they put somenheat sync in places it wasnt on the motherboard b4, I got one of these with a 12700f and a 3060 in it for $1275 on labor day sale, which even at this time I can barely price out a computer build that would be a better price than what i got. Also got the steelseries bundle and a TUF gaming monitor, so i basically copied this build and didnt even know it. Point is watch out at best buy sometimes they drop prices for a promo and the savings can be awesome, the same computer i got is marked back up to 1500 at this time so you gotta strike while the irons hot.

Depends. Sometimes dual channel for games atleast gives a relatively minor boost. Usually with 8gb single stick kits a lot of bottleneck happens just because 8gb isn't enough as most games sit at 9,10 upto 12 gb if not more. If you have the spare cash get a second 16gig or 8gig stick just to unlock dual channel else it shouldn't be the end of the world especially if it's an intel system.

plenty. Though the cost does not indicate whats inside. You can find a 900 pc that included an i3 and a gt430. Or you can find one (even laptops) that includes a Ryzen 5/7 and a 1660 for the same or even a little less. The "hp 15ec2020nr" and its variants are a nice buy. They just reviewed the newer one of these like yesterday.

those temps aren't good at all.... I don't think I could recommend this PC without some changes in Apex the GPU hit 85c which means its throttling 10:20 and a 2070super shouldn't be throttling in that game..... which hence it needs better cooling in that case

Personally while Best Buy might be overpriced I was looking for a gaming pc picked up an omen I’ve had it for a year and swapped out the gpu, psu and ram added an extra ssd so I’m not complaining.
