Oh WOW, Congratulations! My sister and husband bought great home in Alicante, Spain near the water. They got 1 acre, swimming pool, loads of mature fruit trees, and a lot of refurbishing, and they got amazing price. They are loving it there, they did a complete replace and remodel. This is so exciting, hope you enjoy the process.. Their work took about 4 months, neither sis or brother in law speak very good Spanish. Brother in law is attorney, so they involved local attorney there just to make sure they understand purchasing the home. It all went great! Know you will love it. What a wonderful experience for your familly.

Oh wow!! Congratulations! I think this is wonderful. I'm jealous, in a good way. 😀 We tried a long time ago (circa 1985) to move to either Ireland or UK but it didn't work out. We did spend 3 months and had a blast. We were very young and naive. I wish you all the best. BTW, I'd be interested in if you still have to pay for medical insurance or if you're dual citizens if you don't mind talking about it. I hope to get to Portugal and/or Spain next March. So excited 😊.
I know you are excited about your new home. Why did you decided to move to Spain. Please do a walking tour around your town like going to the grocery store and fabric shop, etc. I could not function without a car. What kind of school do your girls attend and has your family learned to speak Spanish? We have been in every state, Canada and Mexico, but never over the ocean. We moved from Florida to Oregon, which is like moving to another country but the language is the same. I am sure you have made many adjustments. I think one difference you enjoy is the many Indy patterns you have to choose from. Looking forward to following you remodel.

Hi there- you’re right, there aren’t any. We ended up having problems with our contractor and it became impractical to record. I will do an “after” tour at some point.
If I recall, you packed up all your belongings and moved from Canada to Spain and put everything in storage....just curious if you still have your belongings in storage?
There are a lot of foreigners buying in many countries, including Canada. It’s part of the modern world, living in a global economy, where people are freer to move around.
@@Lisamakes sure, live in a fantasy world. If foreigners come from a place with higher incomes to buy property I consider it an invasion. You’re part of the problem of gentrification.
