Dont forget to suspend a new PS belt in the bellhousing for a spare with some plastic ties. Works great, if you ever break a belt you just cut the ties and slide the new belt on. Beats the heck out of pulling the trans out at the track..
....when you point to a freshly placed foam mattress on the 10 car and announce "this thing will see some action Sept 12th" it did peek my curiosity. Congrats on the new motor btw!
I fabricated the intake motor pull plate at our welding shop in the late ‘80s. The mechanic/race car builder/motor builder he took out a add in dirt track magazine sold them as fast as I made them! He amazed me setting up the “X” adjustments fo handling with a bathroom weight scale under each tire. I now see a more suffocated set of scale used professional asphalt racers. We sold our welding/fabricating business in the mid ‘90s. Thanks Mike for letting us be a part of Mad1 Racing back then!
Well the new engine should do it, with the right gear and setup , Joseph at the wheel , he’ll be at the front. The purse will bring in the big guns, so it will be one hell of a show. Glad Jonathan will be behind the camera, best in the business. The crowd is going to be huge. This is big.
Good video. I just love the garage atmosphere. When I was a teenager I worked with Freddy Smith on some of his first race cars. Unfortunately I got drafted and then I got married and never got back to racing.
Glad to see this new motor. I watch all the videos and the car just looked like it was running out of smoke at the end of the straight. It didn't seem to matter if Joseph or Jonathon was driving, it just looked tired. Can't wait to see the results at the big $$ races coming up. Best of luck and stay safe.
Suggest you find something that actually seals the exhaust ports to headers especially the center ports. You don't want exhaust pressure swapping into one another at that point.
As u said in the pod cast. Joseph gives the best chance of winning and u make the best vlogs. It may be time to hang the 56 up for awhile and sport the 10j on the 604. If Jonathan does decide to compete in the near future he could always hop in the team car (HTF1) . Just a thought. Enjoy the content u guys are producing and can't wait to see how the next month unfolds
Always a pleasure watching your videos ! Fresh motor glad to see you guys doin well and stepping up your game ! Next is to put a late model motor in that thing and really let her scream ! Good luck bring home some dough!! You aw deserve it !!
Watching the 56 on the back chute I could see the new motor coming. Looked like the car was handling great. It's got to help. To bad you can't get it on a dyno with the carb you're going to run.
This is gonna be the win right here. Joseph is gonna put that beast in victory lane. Can’t wait to see it in action. Now the 10 car need a nice shiny new engine lol. God bless
Always remember happy wife happy life . Should make a big difference in horsepower that's forsure. Going to send the old one in for a freshin up for a back up. Keep up the great videos and
Awesome show y’all. Gonna have some good power back. I think the next thing “when financially possible” to update you’re shock package. Nonetheless doing great with what y’all have. Keep up the great work fellas.
Things are lookin' up guys ... improvements -- bits and pieces! I like it! Awesomeness equates to Awesomeness, just sayin'!!! Watch out, new horsepower comin' past ya ---- Can I getta "hell yeah"!?! Be Safe
You guys should come run the "Jambalaya 100" super late model show the last weekend in October, at Pike County Speedway in Magnolia Mississippi. I believe it's $10,000.00 to win. It will be the weekend after the Fall Classic in Whynot, I believe.
So is the new engine already timed and broke in and is valve spring pressure something you can improve right off for more power or are they pretty solid from get go
Hey guys, love the videos and enjoy watching you guys grow your team and equipment. Question, I run Winged Sprint cars up here in Georgia, NC, and SC. Who does y'alls apparel? Good luck at the upcoming events guys! Nice motor, I used to run Hendrens in my late model. Look out for my channel eagle_706.
Great video guys, but I really wish you would get back in your car more Jonathon. I love watching all of y'all race, but it's better when you both are in your cars. I understand that you are spending more time with the making and editing of the videos, but I'd really like to see you race more. Anyway great video. Keep up the great work, good luck and be safe!
Adam Mathews, They are having the Freedom 60. | “The Freedom 60 will feature action featuring the Southern All Stars Super Late Models for $10,000 to win, 602 Late Models $1000 to win, SCDRA FWDs $2500 to win, Southeastern Modifieds $1200 and Road Warriors $750 to win. Gates open at 12 noon.” The races will start at 6!
What about bring it he old motor to the place you guys got the new 604 and have it gone thru and freshened up and the same parts on it that are on the new motor
that's a smart idea putting that duct tape on top of the manifold where the hole was cuz I did that one time and I had dropped a nut down in the in the manifold and I ended up ruining a motor that wayand I sure did learn a lesson on that one but I thought I had blue smoke coming out back of my car and all that plus I never did that again
Buddy had one the threaded pieces from a modified beadlock somehow end up in his intake and get into the cylinder while the car was setting in corner of shop and found out the hard way when it busted the head and block and fill his shoe with water while warming it up to get it ready to take to track
Hey guys, I noticed there is an AN10 oil sandwich plate in between the block and oil filter. Who makes that part and is it equipped with thermo switch?
If that's just a sealed crate motor with the addition of a carb, distributor, fuel and water pumps, wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a 604 crate motor from gm and add the same carb, distributor, fuel and water pumps yourself?
@@randallowens5228 The only problem with dyno tuning is it's only good for that day at that location. Change locations and/or atmospheric conditions and that tune is void!
