We bought a Victorian farm! Now to get there and bring our 60+ rescue animals! It's going to be an epic house move!
This video is about simple farmhouse cottagecore living and our 200 year old farmhouse restoration. Welcome to Farmhouse Diaries! My name is Jenny and I hope you will subscribe and be part of our beautiful world.
In 2019, my husband Mathew and I, sold everything we owned and bought a run-down, 200 year old farmhouse on 50-acres on the coast of Maine. Our dream was to start a sanctuary for farm animals. The original barn was long gone so we gave ourselves three months to build one. Soon after, animals needing a safe haven started to arrive.
The house still needs renovation work, but we are doing our best to put it back to how it would have looked when it was first built in 1807. We do everything ourselves including caring for permaculture gardens, animals, nature, and our vast forestland. We love old fashioned things like antiques, Tasha Tudor, Beatrix Potter and cottagecore aesthetics.

Hi guys! Excited to see the move into the new house!😊 Of course I'll miss this house, but still excited for the new journey! And also excited for the new land for all the beautiful animals too! Are the kiddos excited? Such A gorgeous piece of property!❤ Its so cool how they move the buildings! God truly does provide ALL our needs! He knew what you guys needed & opened that door for you..God is good 🙌🏻 It'll be exciting to see the horses there!🐎 I think its amazing! Where we lived in Tennessee the was an Amish community one mile from us. They had A really super nice produce market that had all sorts of homegrown veggies, homemade jams & jellies, honey, homemade soaps & creams. I loved buying from there & I'll miss it for sure! But there were horse & buggies all around our town, & they would come shop in the thrift store we had pretty often. Mainly for dishes, pots & pans, other kitchen items, blankets & bedding, socks, t-shirts, kids pjs, tools & some small furniture. Very nice people! Really enjoyed the video & like i said I'm excited to watch this journey unfold! Pray you guys have a blessed week!🙏🏻

A major move. You executed the move so well. I was glad you took all the animal barns that you built. Bringing some of the old homestead to the new homestead, makes it all so familiar to you and not so overwhelming with the change of environment. Though we miss our old homes when we move, the memories will last a lifetime. A new chapter and a new experience. I can truly believe this will be your forever home. It is beautiful and your additions and personal touches will make it a most beautiful homestead, that is fully functional. Self reliance is a healthy freedom from this modern plastic world. Ohh and I know you have a million things going but you should take some of your favorite flowers and maybe a lilac bush to bring to your new home . I did that every time I moved. Actually started when my mom gave me some of my grandmothers peonies and phlox and then her tulips. They’ve moved to 7 homes! lol

When we moved up to our current home it was 3 hours away from our old home somehow you put yourself In some kind of mode to handle the fact that you have that time to de-compress before you have to start to move out everything you brought in your move. Will say the last and final move was tough so get your sleep you will need it!! So happy to see you love your new place it is beautiful!!

God does provide.... I know the move will be stressful - I have moved countless times in my life and each one has had some stress. But you are getting the move done before the worst of the winter sets in, Then you all can settle in. Looks like the home has been cared for so well - so hopefully, you won't have to make any major changes just yet.
