Some people did crazy things during the pandemic.... we bought a house sight-unseen in the Japanese countryside.
Working with the local Akiya (空き家) or Vacant house bank, we purchased our Kominka (Folk house) in Nagano prefecture located within mere minutes of an Olymic ski hill!
Unable to visit the house for over a year, I finally made the trip this past September and cleaned it to make it move-in ready!
After 3 weeks of cleaning, this is our 150 year old Minka!
