I'm a caregiver to my husband who has an ultra rare form of cancer which required a total amputation of his left leg, his hip, and 1/2 his pelvis. I also moved my elderly parents in to my home in March 2024. Mom passed a month later and I caregive for my father too. It's super stressful and just HARD. I can appreciate how hard it was for you.

I have to tell you that anyone, anyone, who has anything negative about all you were going thru at that time has never dealt with dialysis patients. And you didn't mention the sleepless nights staying up because they struggle to breath and then going to work with no sleep. And we would do it again in a heartbeat to have them back with us. In the old video I just see a very tired, overwhelmed lady trying her best to provide a safe space for her and her husband and a way to financially be able to spend more time with her ailing husband. I am so happy you were able to accomplish both. God bless you always!

Dear Stephanie, you owe no one anything. I’ve been here a long time with you and Timmy. Anyone who feels you were unappreciative can suck rocks. First, you got married, using an analogy, you thought you were going “to Spain on your honeymoon”, and almost from the beginning, you ended up in “Switzerland”, a place you neither ever thought you’d be, where you didn’t “speak the language of disability”, or that you’d packed clothes to wear there. Like all women, when life handed you lemons you made lemonade. You did the absolute best you could , once you realized how sick Timmy was, and with your families love and support you all saw him through his difficulties, and on into God’s loving arms. Timmy could not, nor would he ask for anything more. You are so blessed to have your family, that you’re from a great state, (although there are many others close by, just like it), and that you were young enough to be able to shoulder the burdens God placed on you. Walk with your head high, you’ve done everything possible for the man you love, and have welcomed someone new into your life, to continue on your journey with. God Bless, and continue choosing to be happy, it’s the only way to live. ❤️❤️❤️

I am a nurse, and caregiver is a hard life. You are wonderful person to have been willing to do all that you did for your husband. Your home is very beautiful! I like it better than some of the hundreds of thousands of dollars ones that I have seen. We bought a thousand dollar 1983 mobile home and put about 12 thousand dollars, and 18 months into fixing it. All of the floors had to be replaced in it. The outside siding was replaced, and a new roof too. My husband did it all. You dad and family helping you is wonderful. I hope you keep your home always, and treasure the precious memories of the blessings of your family helping you fix it up. God bless you sweetheart!

I have watched your channel since before Timmy went to heaven, Thank you SO much for sharing this video. It is amazing what a lovely home you have.... People who commented that you sounded unappreciative or ungrateful and unhappy obviously have NEVER been a full time caregiver nor do they understand the sacrifice you made financially to be able to care for Timmy yet have a comfortable home to live in while doing it... I was a co caregiver to my mom in 2001 after she suffered a stroke which left her paralyzed on her right side. I was a pastors wife raising two teenage sons in a city 2 hours from my mom. My older brother and sisters both had full time jobs, so we worked out a plan for her care at home. I would have my husband bring me down on Sunday nights or early Monday mornings after the guys were taken to school, I would stay with her Mon0 Fri and my sister and brother tag teamed every other weekend. Stephanie, I won;t lie, here were times when I would go home on Friday nghts and sleep the entire 2 hour trip home, then be so exhausted I couldn;t sleep, There were times when I would just down at my home in the middle of the laundry room floor and bawl my eyes out... I would do it all over again in a heartbeat to have my mom still with us...As I said at the time I was a pastors wife, I was still at church on Sunday mornings and teaching a childrens Sunday school class, when I walked in late Sunday nights or Monday mornings my sister would tell me that mom seemed agitated or not at peace ( we were very fortunate in the fact that moms speech wasn't affected other than slowing down) but my sister would tell Mom I was back and she said "it was like you could just see her relax and breathe easy", I would go into the bedroom and she would grab my hand and say "talk to me", which was her code for pray.... I am the baby of my siblings my sister is 14 1/2 years older and my brother is 12 years older, and I was a rainbow baby so mom and I always had a very special bond... we also laughed a LOT!!! I know you now know that there are trolls on youtube that have nothing better to do with their days than to make rude, angry and hurtful comments to vloggers and it makes me sad that their lives are so miserably unhappy that they have to spread their poison to other innocent youtubers just to feel better about their lives.. Blessings to you, girl! ALSO, I AM AMAZED AT YOUR TRANSFORMATION HYSICALLY, I FORGOT HOW YOU LOOKED BEFORE YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY, STILL BEAUTIFUL BUT WHAT A TRANSFORMATION!

If I had not seen the before and after I wouldn’t believe it. The fact that you have made a home from what you had to start with is a testimony to your commitment and drive to make something beautiful and you’ve done it while living with more stress than many of us will ever know. I love him like no other and he is 37 now and wheelchair bound due to the spine surgeries for the tumors over the years. He is the best. You have persevered and trusted God to get you through. Loving someone has nothing to do with the stress and energy it takes to care for them. My Mom thoroughly enjoyed, as did I watching Timmy singing. Yes My Mom lives with us as well, she is 90. I admire you for your perseverance in all you have accomplished…about 25 years ago my husband and my self bought a burnt out house and tore it down to the studs. We both were working and had a 9 year old daughter also. So after work and every weekend we worked on the house….we hired a plumber and electrician to do work we could not do. It turned out beautifully, but the amount of work was staggering and there were definitely times I wondered if we made the right decision. This can surely cause episodes of depression…..after everything was done it was so satisfying to see and enjoy everything we had done. I am so proud of you!

I can so relate to your experience with remodeling your little home. I purchased a 12 x 60 1969 mobile home in 2016 with my two little girls. A newly single mother, I slowly started remodeling whenever I got my tax refund every year, I didn’t make much money being a caregiver. Sometimes my brother, sometimes one of my older sons would help out with fixing things up , all while dealing with a crackhead manager that lived right next door to me, an adult child with addiction and mental health issues, taking care of my aging mother who lived in a different county, but through all theses things and more I’ve made a pretty nice little home ❤

#1 Rule in life-never let other people in your head, telling you negative things. You're doing great! Of course they form it like a question but they are doing it to be mean and make you second guess yourself. Don't even entertain these negative people. Ignore them. Personally, I think the answer to your problem door is rehang your door in a new 2x4 frame-It doesn't seem to be in a wooden frame. This will solve your problem with the trim. Hold off on the beadboard over there till you get the door situated. Trade photography work with a local carpenter. I'll bet they have kids or grandkids and would love some professional pictures! Your living room (everything I've seen today!) is gorgeous. It is NoT too cluttered or whatever word you used-it's perfect. You have a great eye and have done a great job with your different projects. If the washer dryer is bothering you-hang a black rod above it, get the little black rings that have a clip hanging down off the ring, take a king size flat sheet, white, and hang it up to hide the w/d and when you need access those hooks slide SO easy! If you find a sheet with a decorative hem or lace or whatever you like, you fold the top down 12" or whatever you can and then put your clips on the sheet-now you have a fancy ruffle at the top of your new curtain. 😊 I said king size but measure the width of that area and get a sheet that is wider than that so it has some natural pleats from the clips making it look and hang nicer.

About your doors and not knowing what to do about it….normally your doors sit within a frame. The trim just butts up to it. To know what I am talking about, next time you go to Lowe’s look at a door that comes with the opening frame and you will see the difference. This may give you some idea of what you can do. Love all that you do!

I have to say you made it beautiful. Look you know how grateful you are don’t mind all the negativity. Look when I started watching your video I was crying because I know what you were going through with that trailer. I also bought an old trailer at first it was in good condition it’s an 1980 and I bought it in May 2006 and we are now in August 2024. I want to start off saying back in December of 1999 I lost my husband at the age of 43. I worked really hard to save money to buy something cheap where to save money from paying rent. After living there for 6 weeks the trailer burned, I was devastated. Then again I was renting . I had found a place near where I was already staying my daughter and the grandkids became homeless m, I don’t remember what happened but anyway I took them in knowing it was only supposed to be me there. If the landlord would come over for rent or whatever I would tell them go in the room and be quiet. Well someone reported me to him and then we were all on the street. So I had already started working on the fire trailer so we moved in there and worked on it at the same time. Then a couple years later my brother in law was selling his land and trailer which this is the 1980 one I said about earlier. I added on to it bcz of my daughter and the grandkids. I had to pay family and friends to do the job but they did a poor job. In 2-3 years the floors were bad the living room ceilings had split in the middle and the list goes on. Now’s there’s mold coming from everywhere. So then I want to say about 5 years ago after I was able to save more money to change a little at a time I still didn’t get a licensed contractor but people that said they had 20 plus years under there belt and some even showed pictures of there work supposedly for the floors, bathroom (the toilet had gone through the floor), kitchen and my roof that got messed up in a hurricane. Let me say again I was taken for about 12,000. The guy for the roof took 3500 and never came back, the other started the job and never came back. I know you are so grateful to your dad and family and friends for helping you. I don’t know what some of the people are saying when you have all what’s going on in your life that you did how did they expected you to look and act. It’s very very stressful to have a sick spouse, run him to appointments, working 2 jobs plus side jobs and still working in the home when able to. What are you a robot? Look you and the family did well in this home it’s beautiful. I’m still living with plain plywood floors, busted ceilings, hanging electric wires no kitchen. Ignore the negativity again and enjoy your home. God Bless You

You could also use fabric dipped in starch and then up on the wall. It's easy to take down and doesn't hurt the walls. I love your home

I was the sole caretaker for my dad in hospice at home for a year. It pushed me to my limits- the stress was like nothing I’ve ever went through before. You’ve been through it too, I could see that from those initial videos. But you went ahead and built yourself and your husband a beautiful life-it’s still beautiful now, just a little different than what you imagined. Your house looks great- you should be proud of yourself! Sending you love ❤

Theres nothing at all wrong with a mobile home. My biggest thing about them is the wall studs being smaller and those dang roofs; however, my son has one & he changed to stronger wall studs, added all new insulation, put an A Frame roof with metal, new windows & doors and of course redone the floors, brick underpinning, and a small brick porch. What else could a person ask for? Your home is lovely and you two have worked so hard. Be PROUD of such a lovely home 😊❤

Being a caregiver to someone you love is very rewarding. It is also the hardest job you will ever do. It’s physically and emotionally hard on your body, mind, and heart. People will never understand until they are a caregiver. Your doggie does not look like it has Australian cattle dog in it. Actually that and heeler is the same dog. Your dog looks to be a Jack Russell and kinda acts like it. Your home is beautiful. You’ve done an amazing job.

Stephanie, talk about a trash to treasure renovation your mobile home is that! You have done just marvelous changes to your home and everything looks so pretty and cozy. Love the loveseat in the center as it defines the livingroom from the kitchen space. All your future projects sound amazing. You have come a long way with your home and you should be proud of what you have accomplished thus far!! I started watching You Tube for the first time during Covid. Your channel kept coming up on my feed, but I always seemed to ignore it. But one day your thumb nail caught my attention so I clicked on Little Blessed Nest and have not stopped watching. I enjoy you so much Stephanie and have watched your channel grow and how you have grown as a person. You have endured alot in your young life, but the Lord is there with you every step of the journey. GOD Bless your week!

I started watching you a little over two years ago, I thought you had been on here longer than 3 years. Watching the very beginning of your renovations on your home, so amazing what you have accomplished with all you had on your plate. You never know until you are in that same situation what you would do or have to do, but you have more courage than me to take on all you did back then with the condition of the mobile home, you should be very proud of yourself Stephanie. Your place is so pretty, I love the coziness of it, the calming colors just everything. All the upcoming things you want to do sound amazing I look forward to seeing all the transformations! And let us not forget the outside wow you really made that your own little oasis love that as well. Riley is so sweet I loved hearing him in the background, pups are crazy but the sweetest most loyal companions ever. Thank you for sharing!

Stephanie, it is still just absolutely amazing to see the phenomenal transition of your home. Your sweet daddy put many jewels in his heavenly crown for sure. Plus what a wonderful family you have to come in& help you like they did. Such a blessing for sure. Look forward to seeing any redos you have lined up. I wish I knew how to fix the door trims. If any of your friends have a carpenter they know, I really think this what you’ll need to do. This was fun seeing all the changes, even though I’ve watched most of them. I just love your style. Love you sweet friend. Take care & see you soon. God bless. 😊❤😊🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Congratulations dear Stephanie, three years. Look how far you have come, you have done amazing. For the viewers that are critical of your journey remember they have not walked it. The current caregivers and those that have been in the past, we understand. It is exhausting in every way possible, your body aches, your heart and emotions are broken I used to say. Your home has been transformed from what was to what is by a diy at a time. Keep diying and go for the wallpaper, if you don't like it you can change it. It is your home and we get to watch you do all the work. Please yourself first, you live in your home not someone who tells you what to do!

Thank goodness your dad had faith and the skills and you trusted your dad to create your lovely home. It helped you grow, too! Love that you have so much vision for your home, but be careful of putting darker surfaces on your ceiling. It tends to darken a room and make the ceilings look lower. Good luck in your projects!

My goodness what a transformation! I too was a caregiver worked two jobs and most days just tried to remember to eat and breathe. I can’t even imagine taking on literally making /building a home too. My heart went out to you…because I have been there. It is so much more than people know or can even comprehend. Those that would choose to say or see something negative have no idea what it is to love someone so much and would most likely walk away and leave it for someone else to deal with. On the doors…take the door out and reframe the opening with really thin plywood in strips to come out flush with the Sheetrock …then just add your trim! (the gap will be behind your trim) Not even going to share how I know this lol You have done an awesome job Stephanie on all of the projects! Neighbor up in KY ❤

If you eventually put a stackable washer and dryer you could use that space for a stove, or just a wall oven with cabinets above and below it, a hamper area, or a deep sink. Also in your bedroom...if all of that wall is your closet you could add double bifold doors to that space to make the contents easier to access. I forgot where your hot water heater was located. It may be in the other end of your closet. You and your family have done a wonderful job taking a mess and making it a beautiful and comfortable home.

Oops, you did mention the water heater being in your bedroom. They now have tankless water heaters and I would love to have one installed, and then use the space my water heater takes up in my laundry room for a deep sink.

Peel and stick is very hard to work with. Very thin shows every imperfection in a wall. So we went with a thicker wallpaper that you paste. And it is gorgeous and hides all imperfections in our walls. FYI 😊
