talking about being a billionaire and spending 330k on used Roy gear is actually similar to being a functioning adult and paying $45 for a funny cutout of Gretzky drinking wine. for the record though, I won't.
Love this series! Could do specific categories like team specific, league specific, helmet specific, trading cards, etc. you get the idea. Or no online shopping, all in person, and you have 24 hours.
Would be amazing to see a vlog style video where Jesse, Corwin and Z all go to Kensington and just shop around the vintage stores. Kinda similar to the hockey card video from a while back.
Challenge Ideas: 1) Best non-hockey NHL player item. Could either be really difficult like the Gretzky cutout or just a hockey player on an item not normally associated with hockey like on a mug or a plate. 2) Worst bobblehead, find the bobblehead that looks the least like the player it’s supposed to represent.
My dad was a Zamboni driver at the panthers for a few years in the 90’s all the gear he still wear is past nhl players stuff he got from them. Bures gloves, Whitney’s pants or something and some other random stuff. Plus tons of signed things
loved the fact that y'all went to places in toronto for the items! would love to see more of these! this has me itching to take a train up to toronto and hang out for a few days looking at all the cool hockey stores and the HHOF
On an unrelated video topic. I think it would be awesome to have the BD crew all go to the vintage stores with the objective of finding the coolest jersey they can.
Another idea for the next BIN Boys scavenger hunt, find the jersey from the farthest distance from Toronto. If you manage to find one from the Australian league you just win.
The Vipers jersey is sick, I remember seeing probably that very one, or maybe one just like it, in Kensington several years ago and contemplating getting it, but getting scared off by the hefty price. Glad it went to a good home!
As soon as i saw this I instantly thought about my game used Francois Leroux stick. I'm a Pens fan and growing up I loved Leroux and Kasparaitis. I have the robo pens Kasper jersey still at my parents lol. The stick was a Christmas gift because I loved Leroux, especially afyer he fought Tony Twist. If you are young you may not know any of the names I just said but they are legendary bad asses of a by gone era.
I think what you guys should do is you got 1 hour in kensington market have some guidelines to what needs to be purchased and after.1 hour you reconvene and look at what you bought
Had to look up who the Detroit Vipers were, but I should have known them! My Dad grew up watching the Salt Lake Golden Eagles, who moved to Detroit to become the Vipers
CHALLENGE ... you need to get an NHL player to sign an item. more points for the most obscure item they sign. more points the better the player's signature too. for example getting Ovechkin to sign a home depot washington capitals stanley cup 5 gal bucket.
