If the two transmissions are the same model, you could just swap the good part of the trans case out of mena’s civic to the “new” trans. Try the “simplest” solution first, then go from there when that doesn’t work. 😂 That’s how we work down here at “the shack”.

@@Vex22778 I once was in a small crash with a tree. Only the fender needed to be replaced but the tree on the other hand was a baby tree and it didnt even had a scratch. Trees are tough.

Wow - thats one expensive wrecked TL. But understandable with its rare transmission in it, seller knew what they had. I like the welding idea, but also you have the transmission internals so swapping into a different case might be the best option. best of luck!
@@DetroitMicroSound That's actually an excellent guess, I was just thinking "What kind of unstoppable object is large enough to taco a TL down the side?", a large truck would likely have shifted the car aside and evened out the impact.
Unlikely, unfortunately. Seems like there was a passenger, and the amount of blood on the ceiling likely points to a traumatic head injury. This was certainly a life changing or life ending accident for someone.

Try a rav 4 or pilot or crv or blazer or tahoe , late 90s early 2000s Toyota Honda or GM products were prime , could even count the trucks and sports cars ...
Build a bracket over the broken holes. You have two bolts to help. That's what I do. Weld two bolts and your good. It will be like step bracket with bolts welded into the bracket and they go to the broken holes that you welded. We do it with bug rigs.
Overpriced haha you guys get so many good deals that the moment you pay a normal amount you say that’s overpriced that’s being a cheapskate the price of the transmission even if partially broken by itself would cost more then that blob of a car wreck and possible transmission the seller knew what he was doing but good luck with the swap looks like a fun project
