There will be times (and plenty of them) when you won't see your spouse, because he (or she) might be busy working to either provide for the family, or to help those in need. My own father went through that journey. Still is, in fact. There were times that even I wondered why my Dad was set upon that path, but as time went, I sort of understood. He loves us dearly, but also shares his love and wisdom with others. And although my Mum used to get a bit upset with him in the past, she's accepted it, over time. Maybe that's what you need to do. Nah, I feel Alyne is just as much to blame for the downfall. From the moment they both realized he really wanted marriage and kids and she was extremely against both marriage and kids, that should've ended the relationship. Personally, I'll emotionally shut down too if I knew my partner did not want to get married and have kids; I'd feel like this is a big waste of time. Why wait and not comunicate about how you feel in the relationship? 1 thinks relation is ok while the other is suffering and not telling or hiding... Doesn't matter how they broke up, it's finished and could be fixed by acknowledge and comunicate at the right time.
