We built a GREENHOUSE!!
I'm so excited to share our greenhouse build with you!!!! This greenhouse was made from reclaimed wood and windows! And it all started with two of my favorite words FREE+WOOD! Today we are taking you on the journey of us building this beauty! We hope that this will inspire you to look around and see what it is that you have that will help you build the garden and greenhouse that you will love!

Make sure you caulk or use the foam forms to seal the roof to the wood. Less heat loss in the winter and less bugs in the summer.

That was a cool build - I enjoyed the video - I have two greenhouses here - a home-brew one and a kit one and I use both in my garden work - You will LOVE your greenhouse and your plants will get great starts from having it - I grow plants in one of them in the winter and use reptile heaters and seed mats to warm the trays and plants - Shower curtains, the clear cheap kind, do a wonderful job of holding in heat and it is sort of a greenhouse in a greenhouse technique to keep plants warm in winter... Keep showing us the progress with your new greenhouse and God Bless you all. - Jon

@@ourfreedomsong - Oh yes - My parents built that place and did the two greenhouses from kits -one for early seed starts with seed heating mats and potting plants and the other is closer to the backyard garden and does all our spring, summer and fall seeds and cuttings plus overwintering tasks. It really is a blessing having them both! Good on posting - I love your garden with all that wonderful bamboo to build things with - I live in the Sierras and use oak and pine poles for my garden - you work with what you have ;>) It adds character to the garden for sure.

Absolutely amazing and beautiful!!! Definitely gave me inspiration for future projects down the road. Watching this video brought back childhood memories of me helping my pappy plant trees and building things along side of him in his work shop. Beautiful work, great job guys… just a really quick tip… it’s a whole lot easier to build walls laying flat on the ground and then stand them up to connect at the base after they are already framed out, but I love it! I’m inspired…😊

Make screens from number 8 mesh and you won't have buggy issues in your greenhouse. That way on warm nights you can leave your windows open without losing all your plants. It's the same mesh beekeepers use in venting beehives. No bugs pass thru them. Only white flies will. So Vaseline traps will keep them to a dull roar.

You may need shade cloth on 1 side for shade loving plants and I am putting wire down on floor so we don't get fox,possums, skunks living inside in the winter.. looks awesome we had to buy wood but got old windows

Its so crazy, but we got the windows and the wood all within the same week! We picked up the windows just planning to save them until we could afford to get the rest of what we needed. And like the following day we saw the wood on the side of the road!...

I've been giving away the old wood from my fence. Didn't want it to end up in the landfill. It was 58 panels (each about 10 feet long) and I'm down to about 3 panels. Glad you were about to find some free wood!
