@NiaLewis yessss ma'am I do! N ur doing the right thing! I tell ppl all.the time don't be fooled by the looks of these products. And the warranties n extended warranties suck bc they will do whatever to keep from replacing the appliances. U have to go through the acts of congress to get them replaced/fixed n then it's not worth it, the work is shabby n then ur warranty will have expired by the time they can "replace" it. Smhh... it's awful how the do ppl n for the price that they pay for them
I agree about the older appliances- I have owned my set for over 30 years and never needed repair!!! Yes the new sets are nice but I'm good - I will only replace them when I absolutely have to!!

💯Old School came to work not play! Two years ago, we replaced our 34+ yr. old Kenmore stove with a new GE stove. That thing stopped heating up last week. Do you know we already have to replace a part on it and the PART costs almost $500?! We NEVER even once had to service that old Kenmore, and the new part costs almost as much as a new stove! 😠
Facts!! Our Kenmore Washer is still kicking going on 20 years. She leaks a bit, but a washing pan under her (it's in the basement on concrete) keeps it going!! Our 3 year old- LG dryer (the worst) barely dries a thing.
@@capitolhilldr All our "Ancient" Kenmore appliances {between 35-45 yrs. old) were replaced while they were STILL WORKING. If we only knew then how less durable these new products are made to be... A little duct tape never hurt nobody right? 😂

Really nice❤. & I love your pantry & screened in porch. Am wondering what part of the country you live in with such a beautiful porch. Only 1 thing I'd change. I noticed a floor vent in front of the kitchen cabinets in the fridge area. I learned the hard way to never have floor vents. Have the vents vertical. The ductwork would come out at the toe kickplate area under the bottom of the cabinets (where the overhang usually is) & the vent's right at your feet still, but nothing will drop or spill into the vent like it can with the flat horizontal floor vent.😊

This is beautiful! I love the kitchen, cabinets (off white in kitchen) , pull out drawers for utensils, and the open Family room. The entertainment system is very nice. A lot of storage in which most homes do not have Pantry is a must have. Love how you have it organized- multi purpose 👍🏽 Blackout man cave is cool. Your office is nice! Custom built in shelving 👍🏽 You’re right the furniture is not like it used to be. Screen in porch is spacious! Overlooking the large backyard . I can sit out there every evening after dinner I love the primary suite closets. Across from each other 😊👍🏽. I’ve never seen his/her shower heads. That’s cool ! I like the pocket doors. Huge bonus room for entertaining like theater area I would definitely make the other room a gym and possibly add a sauna Beautiful home and design! Great job! Congrats! I LOV, LOVE, LOVE ya’ll house! Thee Best home your I’ve seen, by far! It looks like an actual house and not some studio apartment square box with a couple of bedrooms thrown upstairs. You have actual dedicated rooms and lots of intentional touches that actually make sense-your “appliance storage” lol, bathroom off the garage, deck off the man cave, dual temp BR shower with heated floors, etc. It just all makes sense. Your home is beautifully furnished without being gaudy (my problem) or ignorantly oversized for no other purpose than the aesthetic de unnecessary. Your rooms are HUGE with real cabinet space and again, dedicated ROOMS, not the usual open floor plan with the 1st floor square box studio apartment with an oddly placed island and a single wall of appliances. No, you guys have taste, usable space, and an all around REAL house that just makes sense. Congrats!

Lovely! Y'all put a lot of thought into your home. I personally don't like the houses that open directly into a living room or the first thing you see is the kitchen. Houses that open directly into a big cavernous living room kitchen area always strike me as odd. Maybe it reminds me of those old country churches with no foyer. Haha

Your home is beautiful! I wholeheartedly agree with your comment regarding appliances. I’ll buy an old school washer and dryer ANY DAY over the front load washers and dryers. My friends often complain about the seal replacement for both.

Love the white cabinets and flooring choice, and lighting, I love neutral colors but the furniture choices are just lot my style, I prefer more modern furniture.
