Frank and I randomized our pokemon starters in Scarlet and Violet but theres a twist! We will have to buy them! We will be given 10 dollars to spend total and each starter will be $1-$3. Then Once we have our pokemon we will build our teams for a battle!

Interesting variation could be that when you’re selling a mon, you get the amount they paid into your “bank account”. For example say your opponent chose rayquaza for $4, then those four dollars would go into your bank account which would give you a bigger budget. Any extra money could be used for perks.

What if next time you have a total balance and your opponent has to pick a price for each pokemon (example 5, 10 and 15) without telling you which pokemon it is. So it could be mind games making the worse pokemon very expensive and forcing your opponent to waste money on it and stuff?

I just LOVE this concept. Just seeing two Pokemon of similar "value" and knowing that you have to price one of them 150-200% more than the other? So your opponent almost always gets a bargain? And then you have to strategize which one you're going to make the bargain and try to bait then into a team comp? The potential for mind games in this is CRAZY.

Yoo I've had this idea for a while but add an extra part where you don't tell the opponent the pokemon and then you can also lie about a bad pokemon and make it 3 dollars and trick them

I dunno. I thought about that, but there'd be little content in it, at face value. It would just be as easy to presubmit dollar amounts for each round and blindly sending them out. And lying wouldn't work well, either, because of the dollar amount limit. Having the choice was the content. Forcing them to knowingly, potentially, taking a bad mon to save money.

If you notice in the thumbnail slitherwing is $25 when it went for $1 cause they only had $10 Max, what SlowKing is listed for in the thumbnail when in reality it was $2 I believe. I understand what you mean by that, love the pfp btw, however imagine this. You have a mon for $5, a mon for $20, or a mon for $50 when the budget is $100. Then watch as they try to see facial reactions as the $50 one could be a legendary……. Or a Cherrubi. It’d be like 2 truth’s in a lie.

I think this video could be more interesting if you didn’t tell the opponent what they are picking from and only tell them the prices. Then they have to decide if they think you’re putting the higher price tag on the best pokemon or if you’re hiding a legendary or something under the $1 because you don’t want them to pick it.

Hate when they talk excitedly about how a shiny is there when they manage to notice, but never communicate that the shiny was actually picked. That means every time the fight starts the shinies aren’t there. Tobin needed to tell Frank Vespiquen was shiny or he won’t know.

One of these days, the Focus Band will work...I hope. Excellent battle in any case. The selection method...eh, not bad, but not anything I'd be eager to see again. A bit plain. I can see the strategy of it, but haply could have been more interesting were it boxes full of starters instead of randomized trios? Not sure.

Tatsugiri underrated imo it’s not pure dragon it’s water/dragon so two weaknesses, 120 spa, and rapid spin. Not saying it’s good but it’s better than SWANNA lol
