Thank you for this video. Wonderful. Hope that Jen got better. Taj Mahal is indeed an incredible UNESCO world heritage site. Glad to see Jacson and Marjo.
@@JennandLeonJenn, Leon, those arabic words that Leon saw on the interior and exterior of the masoleum are calligraphy from Al Quran, the holy book of Islam. The four doors of the masoleum are flanked by four chapters from Al Quran, the main door is flanked with Surah Al Yasin, the heart of Al Quran. All are inscripted using the pietra dura craftsmanship, embedding black stars of India semi precious stones onto the white marble. Some of the exterior and interior are decorated with semi and precious stones using pietra dura technique in floral design. I was told by my tourist guide that the semi and precious stones glow in the dark, decades ago, Taj Mahal was opened to public at night time. 😀
Very nice video! You did a good job Leon on the solo video 💪🏻so sad Jenn couldn't be there with us to see the Taj.. and btw wow nice transition with our tag 😍 keep up the good work 💪🏻
ancient India used to have lot of excellent architectures better than this one. during Islamic rule in India especially in Mughal period about 47000 temples and several other structures were destroyed. others were demolished by the European rulers. that's why India hardly has any ancient structures left in North India. however there are quite a lot of them in South India especially states of Karnataka and Tamilnadu.
