New York is nowhere near KL. In KL there is no gun violence, shooting of black people, open display of racism, graffiti, drug addicts, homeless, etc. The streets are safe day and night even for single women
We didn't want to offend anyone because we compared KL with NY in their general sense - the purpose of this video is to show the modernity of KL and the Bukit Bintang district. I hope you understand why we had said that.
There are so many illegal immigrant from Indonesia & Bangladesh in Malaysia, because their country is poor So they are coming to Malaysia for work, some of them also not respect the local and violate the laws of Malaysia
We Malaysian don’t like go to Alor Street it is only for tourist not so many local food sell in there.Even most of the seller in Alor Street is Foreigner, from 🇮🇩🇹🇭🇵🇭🇧🇩,You should go to Jalan TAR night market every Saturday to try the true local food, cooked by true Malaysian people, not foreigners.please put some respect this is Malaysia not Indonesia😌,we don’t say enak,we say sedap, for your information Indonesia languange also rooted from malay language, before they change the name from malay languange to Indonesia languange, but actuallly 90% is it the same language, with the different accent and some of the word is same but different meaning
In Malaysia, we dont say enak. We say, sedap. You can save the 'Enak' for when you visit Indonesia. Also in Southeast Asia, each country is nationalistic. So try not to mention other countries you are visiting so much in your vlogs. All of Southeast Asia prefer if you talk about their own nation, when you are there.
We will take note of that - it’s hard for us to understand that because we are very inclusive but we understand the nationalistic mentality now being here. We are learning many of these customs which are alien to us so please bare with us 👍
@@JayandKarolina Yes, even when you travel to Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand etc, they wont like it if you mention about the neighbouring countries. Its a Southeast Asian thing. We are all neighbours, but there is intense rivalry between nations and often it gets intense and nationalistic. Malaysians are generally more accepting because we are the more developed nation in Southeast Asia, either mentally or developmentally. So we are generally the most accepting of Southeast Asian nations. It gets tougher when you visit the other Southeast Asian nations next. Take care and stay safe in your travels.
I suppose what the person above is trying to say is that people are proud of their own heritage . You cannot find anyone more inclusive and tolerant of other cultures than Malaysians as we are of different cultures and religions. Our survival literally depends on being tolerant of others That is not too say we are not inclusive as you seem to imply.
You can walk from Pavilion to KLCC by using the pedestrian walkway that you can find at the back of the mall. You can also go to one area to another using the GO KL free bus services.
Now the question is how to eat , ie normally when you eat a dry noodles , its came with soup , its use to put into noodles n well separate the noodles n well mix with your own taste . on the table or at the counter , you will see some extra container like soya souce, pepper, chiili n etc , you must know the mix it with your taste.
Hi guys, nice video Go to Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman [KL] for experience the night market [pasar malam] on Saturday, there's a lot of Malay and other Malaysian cuisine you should try.
This is special food court contributed by the boss of this mall , where is collection of best 30 stall around KL area n open its branch here so all visitor came to shopping this area also enjoy food
1st and foremost, welcome to Malaysia 🙏 besides lot 10 basement food court, you can walk further to Jalan Alor (if weather is desirable) where most food stalls close till late hours around 2am with outdoor seating. Be safe and hope you 2 have a pleasant stay here!
If you are trying durian, a lot will suggest Musang King or Black Thorn durian as the best durian, however the flavour is more pungent for a foreigner palate. Can I suggest you ask for Red Prawn Durian? It is less pungent, sweeter, more custard like texture which I feel it's a better introduction to foreigner's palate
@@JayandKarolina in that case start with the lighter flavour durian first, and try Musang King/ Black Thorn last. Their flavour is so strong that it overpowers everything 😅
Use chopsticks with spoon and you’ll enjoy the food. Trick is each spoonful should include some noodle/rice with vege or meat. That’s how you get a complete taste every mouthful. Enjoy your food !
If you want somewhere cheap to shop, I suggest Berjaya Times Square or Sungei Wang. And for our IT hub, you can go to Low Yat. And for somewhere to eat, you can try Kampung Baru area.
Hi Jay. I do have a question. Appreciate it’s a personal question, but as you’re at the beginning of your RU-vid journey (with this channel) I’m hoping you could answer how much Adsense revenue you guys are making a few weeks into your travels. Would be interested to know as I was thinking of doing something similar with my partner and wanted to know if it’s a viable option. Thanks for any information you can provide in advance ❤
Hi Paul! It’s important to point out that I was a full time RU-vidr in the UK for 3 years so the knowledge and experience was transferred over to this channel. The ad revenue is much smaller compared to my UK channel Gig Hustle and you have to get massive views to live off that especially for a couple. So we are really living on a small budget whilst we grow the channel. I’m not sure if you have any experience with RU-vid but it’s one of the hardest things you can do and most people don’t succeed (look at the figures on Google). That is not to discourage you but to put things into perspective. If I would advise you I would say to save up enough money to travel for a year and learn how to make videos for RU-vid whilst travelling. You’ll enjoy your travels and figure out if it’s for you. I don’t want to sugarcoat it because I’m filming, editing and uploading everyday just to make it work and it’s tiring but the opportunity is there if you really want it!
@@JayandKarolina thank you so much for your insight. Appreciate it’s obviously hard work producing content and I’d liken your efforts to a swan elegantly swimming across the water, looks effortless, but what people don’t see are the feet under water moving around at tremendous speeds! Keep up the great work!
I don’t think that applies to a man who is vlogging in public and talking to a camera. I think you can judge me by the life I’m creating for my partner not by how I’m walking whilst vlogging with my partner 😅
If you have a hard time to get Chinese dishes just came to Malay or Indian restaurant we are open 24 hour per day 😮..The popular food for Malay is "nasi lemak"
Seller : thank you. :) Buyer : thank you. :D Cashier : thank you :)) Someone else : thank you. :0 Thank you in mandarin Chinese is Xie Xie ne. Or just simple xie xie.
Typically you need to mix the noodles with the ingredients before eating in Malaysia. It felt like you finished the ingredients before you reached the noodles? With rice, we have tendency to add some ingredients with the rice mouthful per mouthful 😅
Your handbag being stolen is the least of your worries. But what shocked me when I was in KL was that someone told me that somebody may put drugs in my bag when he saw my camera bag was open. So, even though KL maybe relatively safe, you never know when you may get unlucky
LOT 1 basement food is an easy one stop to experience type of Malaysian food. But cross the street u have Ah LOY street food where u get the real street food deal.
We could have seen that everything was top quality in Lot 10 Hutong but, on the other hand, we also enjoy simple dishes on the street markets! So definitely need to explore the street you've just mentioned!
The next time you do order a dry type noodle dish, you need to mix it thoroughly to loosen the noodles and add a little of the soup to moisturise the dish. Then enjoy it. Lol😂
Please mix/stir/shake your drinks because the sugar syrup is at the bottom of the glass/cup/bottle. Also please mix whenever you’re eating cendol(chendol) and/or ABC (ais batu campur)
The next time you eat any dry noodles or rice, put some noodles or ice and meat on the spoon, then you can you can really enjoy the combination of carbohydrates and protein with the flavours of the respective sauces. Enjoy.
All Malls have a food court and food is great... we just need to foos courts to escape the heat... that is to say street food on the street are just as great...
you only visit big cities such as Kuala Lumpur? I challenge you to explore country side and smaller town such as Kota Bharu and Gua Musang, you will find aborigine villages there truly amusing.
We always go to the main cities because it’s easier to here there, however, from time to time we try to escape to local villages too! Saying hi from Bukit Lawang, Sumatra 🇮🇩😍
Hope you’ll enjoy KL! We had the check in at 3pm but got around 2pm and it was possible to enter a room! I would recommend to directly message a hotel 😌
He said 'enak' it means bahasa Indonesia is more familiar to foreigners than Malay Malaysian. Not to mention the fact Malay Malaysian is weakening as an official language in Malaysia. More and more Malay abandon their language... So sad.
I dunno why that guy was trying to be so nationslistic. You are a foreigner. We cant expect you to know everything. Say what you like. Tho the correct word will be sedap.
