love to see this comment! it's not that easy to spot all of these details about a side character especially if they've done something bad. i think his character is so well written and it's so sad that he turned out to be so evil at his young age and he became something he used to hate himself. i swear all he needed that whole time was just some damn therapy. as someone who's been bullied before, i can't even imagine how hard it must've been trying to actually fit in after getting real friends for the first time ever. you start to overthink every single detail, how you're the only one no one follows on instagram, how no one posts you even though you've been friends for a long time, how you seem to be the only one paying for your friends and not really getting appreciated or thanked for it (together with him thinking that using money was the only way of getting friends hence why he ALWAYS offered money for everything which i think also has to do something with his adoptive dad as well since he only adopted him for money and good reputation. he was taught wrong and this is exactly why it's important to raise your children right. this is why education is important!), the feeling when you see others having fun without you, literally every single detail and it doesn't even matter if these are misunderstandings. getting heavily bullied for your whole life together and living with an abusive adoptive father is going to fuck you and your mind up no matter what. he's a literal CHILD where the influence others give him is very crucial. it all went downhill when the kids that were already troublemakers started giving him a very bad influence that included alcohol and drugs but at the same time while they still had his back against his old bullies where most of his trauma and possible ptsd came from, and they seemed to aknowledge him more than anybody else by noticing all those exact details that no one else had noticed before and he didn't even have to say anything (though communication is the key in every relationship)! now this doesn't mean his actions would be justified. not at all. he did wrong no matter what and he himself continued the cycle he hated himself, he turned out into something he always hated. he was insecure and he didn't communicate, got into a bad friend group and got a very bad influence from them which lead him to big big mistakes but his character overall was well written and his character made me cry on several occasions. all he needed was just some parental love, guidance from adults and help for his mental health but he failed to ask for it which is sad and unfortunate and it happens in real life as well. now especially as someone who understands how he must've felt with all the bullying, the traumas, ptsd, abuse, alcohol problems and so much more, i feel unfortunate for him but i'm not defending him. he's just a well written character showing important aspects of childhood education, influence that friend groups can have on others, bullying, mental health probelms and just of life itself, especially as teenager. but no wonder he turned out so fucked at the end. it's just sad

Bumseok is more detestable in webtoon coz he called Si Eun and Soo Hoo as gay couple and bully Soo Hoo till he jumped from school rooftop. And also in webtoon Soo Hoo doesn't know how to fight🫠🫠 (I'm sorry for the spoiler)

@@christina4012 yeah Soo Hoo can't fight in webtoon he's just like supporter character for Si Eun in hard time that's why I surprised they changed the storyline in drama while the webtoon really brutal 🥹 don't worry all of them got beaten by Si Eun(Grey Yeon) till pulp especially BumSeok 👀
