Though excessive, I try to remind myself that they are making those narrations upwards of 30 minutes to an hour apart (which then gets cut down to only a few minutes apart in the video, making it seem more repetitive than it actually is). That's something for the editors to remove in post, but I can tolerate it when 99% of the video is professional. 😄
Looks like they cut out the part where they were talking about Grant being at the Monday qualifier watching Akshay and said that he came up and asked “where the ladies at?”😂
The smile on akshays face while telling the story of winning on the Bahamas just shows how pure he is on top of that it really motivates to keep grinding to improve your game
Never heard of Akshay before this video and I will say... the dude is SOLID. I loved his subtle trash talk on the green. Good stuff as always, GM Golf!
What a great match to watch , I love how you guys worked in Akshay and Blake into the trip. Its funny to watch Grant fanboy but it is entertaining...LOL another outstanding video guys LETS GO GOOD GOOD!!!!!
Glad to still see grant at his best I could close my eyes and put a tracer on his ball. Garret and Grant are the reason I started love all the new content keep it up
Note to whoever edited the video. In the beginning when the boys are speaking on the tee, around the 1:00 mark, if you're going to using a warp stabilizer , you can tweak it a bit and use less so it's a bit smoother and not warping as much. Loving the work so far, keep killing it.
Garrett and Grant discovering quickly what makes #2 so hard.....putting those turtleback greens. Depending on pace used the same line can break in two different directions. Akshay and Beazey going -7....even as a best ball....on #2 through 9 holes is nuts
You guys have seriously had quite the year. Plus it's not over yet. Saw that you played with Luke Donald. So many great Luke players been on here!!! The hard work is appreciated!!!
Great first half and can’t wait for the back nine. Pinehurst # 2 is not the prettiest golf course but it is perhaps the most interesting to play. The greens look so easy. No big swales or multilevel greens but they are really hard to putt. They are so deceiving. They roll true but they are impossible to read. Love that course…..my favorite I have ever played. That Donald Ross design is amazing…..pure genius.
I was really hoping for the back nine. Mr Shortgame done a review of Good Goods putter and it preformed as good or better than the expensive ones he had. Really good review
I mean, it should. It's also an expensive putter. Milled putters are pretty much going to be the same quality with a couple specific material and design choices impacting feel in a few ways. It's why they did putters. Unless you really do something poorly (which wouldn't happen at their price point), it's hard to mess up.
been waiting for this one Akshay has to be one of my favorite golfers … his buddy Michael LaSasso is a beast too outta NC State. would love to see them in a 2v2 against the boys!
you guys should play blackjack ridge in tulsa,ok but only in the spring the course is kinda solid during the fall and winter, but it has a lot of fun short par fours and a 100ft drop hole its a par 3 and it is like a giant drop onto a green.
Akshay definitely the smoothest and most athletic golfer I've seen on the channel. Slow down his swing and look how he transfers his power on the drive. Such a beautiful swing with a touch of class when he putts and chips. Swinging like that takes years of work. Could definitely see him playing PGA golf if he stays healthy, gets lucky, and things go his way. His frame easily allows for more weight and power as well which would give him another 10-25 yards which is crazy
Played all those courses several times. Trust me, they are making #2 course look 100% easier than it is. Helps it’s a 2 person scramble but still, these guys are good! Those greens are super tough to hold, even from wedge territory. I.e., I was on that first hole earlier this year with a GIR only to putt it completely off the green due to being above the hole.
@JB Playing as an individual those greens are a nightmare if you are above the hole. Touch the ball and it rolls down in the fairway. I stopped keeping score after hole 4 and just took in the experiense. Pro players had 507 yard par 4. For most people it would be driver, driver off the deck.
@@DanWessonSpecialist 100%. I barely tapped that putt and it rolled off, down the hill into the fairway. First time I played that course was about the experience but I learned a lot by watching people that day who played it before. Next time I shot considerably better and if I had 150 to the pin, I played 140. Anything long is a nightmare chip back on the green. Random Golf Club did a series from Pinehurst with several golfers of different skill levels and they were playing it all the way back from US Open tees; Good vlogs but pretty humbling.
You'd think after coming up short with the irons four holes in a row that Garrett would put his pride aside and club up 😂. Great vid tho. Akshay is a beast on the course and I cant wait to watch him evolve over the next few years....Putting on for us lefties !
Askay "where the ladies at" Bhatia.....wonder if his GF really didn't like that? That would be super petty. Hopefully not! The cut part was actually very cool. a glimpse into pre GoodGood Grant. Just another fan like us...
For reference the pro players at the US Open played hole 2 at 507 yards, par 4. They played it at 424 yards. Hole six US Tees 242, par 3. Grant and Garrett under 200 yards. But both of them struck the ball at a freak tight and crowned green course damn good. The better the competition, the better Grant and Garrett perform. When I played it stroke play it ate my lunch.
