For sure, putting the controls on a phone was a bad idea... it could have been cheaper to make without the phone interface too...

Suppose they’re trying to keep up with the trend and no one likes putting batteries in controllers so smart phones are going to take over lol. Personally I think a proper controller for each car would be much better but the company will charge even more and no one will buy it

Musical Koalaz - Are you saying it would be more expensive to manufacture with traditional radio controllers than to manufacture with a WiFi or Bluetooth controller and all the software needed on both the controller side as well as the android/iOS app side? Or are you saying they would just charge more to have traditional radio controllers without all the app stuff? Radio controlled cars have been around forever so I would think that rc cars would be cheaper to manufacture. This thing is way overpriced for what it does... cool concept but way overpriced.

Always since I started playing I said that maybe the ''Rocket League'' thing is like a toy car sport or something like that and ''OUR'' player is just us playing the game like the controller is just a toy car controller and that kind of thing
