Hey guys! Some of you may not know how Countdown works so here's a breakdown! (more in description) - Timer counts down instead of up - "Score" is displayed, goes up to 10 points - Hitting someone with an item gets you a point - Every time you get a point, 3 seconds gets added to your timer - The race doesn't end until everyones timer has ran out - Whoever is furthest ahead wins! (Sometimes you race more than 3 laps)
Advanced info: - For POW Blocks, Bloopers, and Lightning, only 1 person needs to be affected to get the point - You get a point from the Blooper only after the ink is sprayed - If you bump into someone while using a Golden Mushroom, you will get a point, but the Golden Mushroom will disappear - You can never lose a held Mega Mushroom unless you are picked up by Lakitu - Some items have been replaced: Triple Green Shells to Triple Fake Item Boxes Triple Red Shells to Triple Green Shells Mushroom to “Mushroom & Green Shell” Triple Mushrooms to Triple Red Shells Lightning Cloud to Mega Mushroom Mega Mushroom to “Mushroom & Bob-omb”
The Blooper is useful in all the game modes. 200cc: Obscures vision while driving at crazy fast speeds. Item Rain: Seeing items on the ground is crucial. Countdown: Free point=3 extra sec. to race
It would be really fascinating to see you play item rain with that eye tracker twitch extension. My eyes are darting everywhere just watching it, it would be a neat way of seeing your thought process without you having to talk all the time.
In this video, you were playing Item Rain, 200cc, CTGP and Countdown. Item Rain-Many items always fall on the track, so you don’t need an item box to get an item. 200cc-In this class, which is also in MK8/Deluxe, karts/bikes have a normal speed of 125 kph-faster than the fastest animal/cat on/in the land/world, the cheetah! CTGP-There are custom tracks that aren’t in the real game. Countdown-There’s a timer like in battle mode. There’s also score that equals +3 seconds timer bonus per point.
I remember when Troy said this *I wont do these funrooms anymore because it is super hard and time consuming to setup* Its good that he did not stop yet
There were five BAM! Shock Dodges this video. 1:18 2:18 (Spinning Mega) 6:26 10:22 15:29 (Scrub Dodge) Shock Dodge wetstreak: 1 Chaos! CHAOS! Not a whole lot of people are able to get points with Item Rain, I'm seeing. Or they're afraid of getting too far behind because it's 200cc. Or both. Either way, that was an exciting video and I hope you do this again. It is the pinnacle of casual Mario Kart Wii. I saw a lot of instances where an opponent ran right into your back trail or when you were in a Mega, but there were two points in Gold Mine that I'm unsure of. Probably people hitting your traps. (For those of you who are unaware, I'm considering the "Spinning Mega", where he gets a Mega Mushroom a few frames after the shock, as a shock dodge, since Troy himself considers it to be a dodge. That's the only reason.)
Being the variety-minded player who plays all of these modes... this is my kind of thing. The notable change for me since countdown is included is that there are no TCs! This is perhaps the best change of all.
What an epic Lava Lake race xD You normally never experience the road falling there but on 200cc you apparently do :P also the bullet indeed never drops players above that hole
