I think most Asian children don't get to spend much time with their parents when they were younger because they're so busy working to provide us a good life because they didn't have that life when they were younger. It's so good that as I get older, I get to do quality bonding with my parents and in return provide for them like they did for me when I was young.

Not just Asian, but all immigrant children who have moral, ethical and hardworking parents with ambition. Amazing aren't they, our parents? I feel sorry for dads because they're often treated like a walking ATM machine by kids that don't really give the patriarch the gratitude, understanding and affection that they deserve. Of course, you realise all this far too late in life. :( You sound as grateful as I am and hey, much better late then never, right? xo :)

why just asian, i'm not asian my dad worked 70 hours a week, my mum 40 something, I'm also an immigrant who does full time shift work and studies full time uni... I think it is also a generational thing, older guys cant relate to kids as kids environment was so different when they were kids (my dads family literally tried to sell then later kill him). Thinking all asians are hard working is just stereotypical besides them nicknaming their kids strawberries infers that time might be over -fun video though :) BUT this was a CRAP burger, dont toast buns in meat juice ?!

i totally give my life for them. 1/74 of my money goes in their bank very month. i visit them everytime surprise them etc... i have families that dont even care about their sick father. too busy at work, keeps all the money for themselves. im done with this shit.i support my granpa and parents, i would dedicate my life for them.

I love your dad. Your dad is awesome and hilarious! He made me laugh a lot during the video and I think it's an amazing chemistry you and your dad have as father and son. He seems like a hard working guy and sorry you didn't get to spend much time with him growing up. It's a common thing with our immigrant parents and I am thankful to my mom and dad (may he rest in peace) for their sacrifices coming to Canada to give me and my siblings a better life. Can't wait to see the spring rolls episode:) I love this segment already.

This is so cute, it reminds me of my dad. My dad came to America as an immigrant too. Everything about this makes me miss my dad. In just 9 days itll be a year that he left this world. He reminds me of my dad.. he's been in America since 1980 and he barely speaks a lick of English, but somehow we can communicate. As kids growing up my Dad was always working so we didn't spend too much quality time with him, so now that we're old the 5 of us make it a point to talk to my Dad and see him as often as we can..

Dude that was fantastic! I hope to be that full of energy when I'm 60. Growing up in a Chinese family myself, not all members of my fam have that kinda energy and it was amazing to see. Now we should get a dad and Dalena grandma cooking video for the future... awesome stuff man.
