The only reason the ball curved was because the lanes were poorly oiled. House balls are not even remotely made to curve/hook. Try buying a ball at a proshop (preferably a hammer) if you really want a ball that actually hooks lmao. I've been a bowler for 16+ years and never for me did a house ball curve unless the lanes were almost bone dry. Legit bowling balls have a weight or as us bowlers call them cores that rotate while rolling down the lane but depending on the every houses oil pattern the ball will react differently. House balls have no core.
