It usually takes reactors a little bit of reflection before they realize that. Ffs..... I never even thought about it until my second time watching through this season waiting for season 5 or 6. He never fooled me for a second. Its always a whose bad? Varys or Littlefinger debate. I knew from the moment he told Ned "not trusting me was the wisest thing you've done since climbing off your horse." I KNEW that would come around. That is the first and one of the only things that I ever predicted correctly.
That is why I admire Littlefinger. He had no lands, no loud family name, no money but BRAINS. And now he controls the Vale, the only kingdom which isn't damaged from the war and has a huge army. He is literally genius. In the books it's more clear that his appearance is friendly and innocent, nobody would ever think this dude is evil.
Little finger is pretty much evil. He’s okay with sneakily killing people and finding a way to foist the blame on someone else to further his own cause. Other members of other royal houses, I’m sure, think the same as him and even do the same thing.

Nah, Jon Arryn was about to find out Cersei's kids were not Robert's heir. If anything, Littlefinger getting Lysa to poison Jon delayed the war. Robert would have "rains of castemere"-d the Lannister when he found out Cersei and Jaime were *ucking him.

I never, ever get tired of Tyrion's trial. An absolute masterclass in acting from Peter Dinklage. Even the way he says "Shae, don't", 2 little words, you feel his desperation and hurt.
Remember back in season 1, that scene with Littlefinger in his brothel telling his two prostitutes how he's going to get revenge in his own way. The man basically gave away his game a long time ago but it flew over most people's heads. He's been hiding in plain sight the entire time.
Arya was taught a very different style of fighting than the Hound. Like the Dothroki, that fighting style generally assumes the opponent is unarmored. Also, Arya is small and only trained with Cerio for a few months as an 11- or 12-year-old. She's working with what she knows and her determination, not fantasies. The Hound is unfamiliar with that fighting style, so he is ignorantly dismissive of her skill, not realistically telling her what she's learned is useless.
4x7 used to be my favorite even if many prefers any other episode (after 5)...but i rellay love 3 scenes in that episode: The snow castle, just a baby, and kidney pie. (a minor scene but sooooo funny)

One of the best scenes in the entire show. Tyrion the GOAT. Varys staying as neutral as possible, as expected, he couldn't do anything more without putting his life on the line. Its all he could do. He had even hinted it in an earlier episode, that there is only so much he can do publicly with the Lannisters without sacrificing his life. He can't afford any mistake basically. It all makes sense. Great writing all throughout in all dialogue in that trial.
AWWW! ...Mrs. October you tear up and I tear up too even though I have seen GoT so many, many times from start to finish. You have such a BIG! heart that. It seems like Margaery and Tyrion are the only ones who can tell Cersei what her place is. She doesn't cow even to Tywin, but a few words from Margaery or Tyrion and Cersei's mask starts to slip and her illusion of control begins to fade.
Remember when Mr. October, either in the first or second episode said Tyrion's big mouth will get him in trouble? I didn't say anything back then, to avoid spoilers. I've been waiting for this episode. That was incredibly insightful of Mr. October with little evidence, but absolutely right, as we see in Tyrion's trial.
Poor Sansa. Poor girl just cannot catch a break. She finally lets her guard down a teeny fraction, has a little girl gab and a couple of lemon cakes (both her favorites) then BOOM! The crapola begins yet again.
I think I know about Margaery. I she said to Littlefinger long ago; "I want to be THE Queen." She wants to be at the top of the social scale, but her main weapons are kindness and respect.
Season 4 of Game of Thrones is some of the best television of the 2010s and episode 6 is one of my favorite episodes of TV just for that ending. It's just a perfectly written ending.

Varys sees himself as one of the few people who want to do what is best for the realm. He will do what he can to protect himself. Cersei likely threatened him to testify against Tyrion.
1:00:08 It may be weird to say that but this few seconds are some of my favorite acting ever, the change in facial expression, the realization that Tywin played him there and then, it's all acted so perfectly, I simply love it! I think I rewatched these few seconds too many times, its too good.
Remember the part where tywin at the small council asked varys if his birds can find there way into mereen and then precedes to write something....that will come back into play just remember it

You may know this, but it was started by a group, seven bankers, some of the wealthiest men in the world at that time, early twentieth century. Met some place in Georgia. Jekyll Island? The government borrows from the FR. With interest. FR "creates" money. Controls, basically our lives. Controls politicians, including presidents.

The Iron Bank is not "basically like the Federal Reserve...." The Federal Reserve is not an overseas shadow institution that will call in a mercenary army to overthrow our government. "but like....who runs the Federal Reserve....like, those people aren't elected ". It is a system of elected reps from over 3000 small, medium and large American banks and then appointed reps to the different Federal Reserve Districts, who then appoint to the Federal Open Market Committee and the President appoints members to the board of governors, who must be approved by the senate. These people are not faceless, they can be removed, they can be voted against.
Elected? I don't recall seeing them on my ballot. I don't think they are elected at all. They may be appointed by people who were elected, but they are NOT elected in any way.
I always had the theroy that Shae was hired by Tywin the entire time. He wanted to have it in his back pocket that Tyrion never truley changed from his old ways.
I'm looking it up snd Peter Dinklage , who was born in Morristown NJ by the way, was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in EVERY SEASON of Game of Thrones INCLUDING for THIS EPISODE and THAT SPEECH .. he didn't win for this episode but he DID win overall FOUR TIMES in the EIGHT YEAR run of Game of Thrones.... the S4E6 "confession" scene is my 2nd favorite Tyrion Lannister scene ... the S2E6 "confession" scene of his trial in The Vale is my 3rd favorite scene (he NEVER gets to finish that damned joke about the time he walked into a brothel with a honeycomb and a jackass even though it keeps coming up over and over again🤣🤣🤣) .. and you will shortly get to my ALL TIME FAVORITE Tyrion Lannister scene ...
In the 4th season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Pedro Pascal guest starred on Buffy. He said Sarah Michelle Gellar was very nice to him. Check out that series, you will love it
Little Finger is such a devious character. He planned it all in the beginning. He pitted two of the most powerful families, Lannisters and Starks, against each other causing war and chaos. Like he said, he wants it all. More great Ayra and The Hound scenes. The Hound teaching Arya the brutal truth on how the world really is. Fancy sword fighting, basically fencing, isn't going to get the job done against someone in armor and a large sword. The Iron Bank. Even Tywin knows you don't mess with them. You pay them back and everyone is happy. You don't pay the Iron Bank back, they'll hire The Faceless Men to take care of the problem. Or they'll finance your enemies. And Tywin planned this out in the long term about getting Jamie back to being his heir and taking his place in Casterly Rock. But now Tyrion just threw those plans into the toilet by declaring a trial by combat. Love the death stares those two exchange at the end of the episode.
The Hound and Arya together is my favorite pairing. The Hound is one of my top 5 favorite characters. So much so I named my dog Sandor. I thought it was clever. Sandor The Hound. He's a good boy. A 90lb pitbull mix. Best dog I ever had.
Something I noticed for the first time after many watch throughs was Pycell holding up Sansa's necklace she wore to the wedding! How did Pycell come to have it as evidence when she was still wearing it when she boarded the ship with littefinger?
Littlefinger takes the necklace off Sansa and drops it into Ser Dantos' body in the row boat at the end of that scene knowing it would be used as evidence against Tyrion in the trial.The guy is always playing chess 12 moves ahead
It was expalined in season 1 by little finger himself .. his family holding is the "littlest" of "The Fingers" in The Vale ... and yes this is THE episode where we learn that Petyr Baelish has been manipulating every point of conflict between the Lannisters and the Starks and anyone unfortunate enough to get within the same zip code of his revenge ever since Brandon Stark split him from navel to chin over the hand of Catelyn Tully ... and if you were paying attention Lysa Tully-Arryn also confessed not only to assisting Littlefinger in the murder of her husband the Hand of the King Lord Jon Arryn but also that she and Littlefinger have ALREADY years ago "consummated their marriage"

He honestly believed that Tyrion was one of the most capable people in the Kingdom, BUT that he would not be able further his cause at this point if he maintained his alliance with Tyrion. That's why he said "Sadly, my lord, I never forget a thing". That was him saying that he believed in Tyrion, and his competence, but that it was not politically convenient to align with him in this moment.

As the Onion Knight pointed out to the Iron Bank, Tyrion is old, and when he dies, they don't have a chance in Hell to get their money back. Stannis is the sure bet in this scenarion.
You're finally understanding how much an issue Ramsey will be. Of all characters in my 35+ years of watching movies and tv shows, I have never hated a character as much as him. I look forward to watching you see the new cast (the real main cast) grow into the face of GoT and how much they change. The funny thing is, some of the key players are still in their infancy in their growth.
While he has killed VERY few people himself, Little Finger is responsible for killing more people than anyone else in the entire show thus far. No one even comes close.
@@Cream-2128 True in universe, like universe, including everything, the Mad King would probably topple Little Finger's schemes in amount of people killed to this point. But since he's not really in this show all that much, I wouldn't necessarily count him to that.
George R. R. Martin has the middle name of Raymond and added a confirmation name of Richard later. I think I read the R.R. being used for his pen name was somewhat also in tribute to Tolkien (although he is certainly not uncritical of Tolkien), but I'm not sure.
I feel like people are always confused by what Varys was saying in that scene with Oberyn. Hes not saying he desires the throne, hes saying not having personal desires is how best to serve the realm.
