Love your videos, thank you they’re so informative! For a couple who would like one biological child and lots of adoptive kiddos, which would you suggest they do first? We’re a few years away from having children and so a bit unsure. Would love some advice from someone who’s been through adoption
Personally, I'm still super glad we did it this way around. Just my thoughts and opinion but...If we choose to ever get pregnant, I envisage that our kiddos will be able to better process this as they were here first and they will be able to see all of the changes and have some preparation. Whereas, birth children, unless considerably older and understanding; would just have a child/ren turn up after meeting them maybe a few times and could potentially struggle. Though I know so many people who have done it both ways, incredibly successfully so there is definitely no right or wrong.
Hi Aimee thank you for the videos 😄. I just wondered if there was any particular reason why you choose an agency rather than going directly to local authority for adoption?
Sarah-Chris Towers thanks for your comment! We attended an open evening, liked what they had to say and signed up. We didn’t really research in to LA adoption until the agency paired us with the LA as I knew nothing about it. Hope that answers your question 😊
Hi Aimee, as ever thank you so much for your insightful videos, I'm really enjoying them, im pleased to say that we have been approved at panel today just waiting for ADM now :) we will be able to access link maker once adm is through - any advice for us on your experience of it? and/or experience of filtering profiles and coping with making those decisions? thanks in advance xxx

We had very little experience with this as our SW had someone in mind the moment we were approved (and clearly she was right to feel this way) and the fit was just perfect straight away. I can’t speak for everyone...but hopefully when it’s right you’ll just know 🥰 I wish you all the best!
Thank you so much for putting these videos up Aimee there is so little out there from a UK perspective and I am really finding your videos so informative and enjoyable to watch. We have been struggling on our fertility journey and so adoption or foster to adopt is now is becoming a real possibility for us and it is just so nice to hear your experience not just with the logistics but the emotions that come with it all.
