As someone that never had a VR headset I love the psvr2. The games are good the price point is high but I think they need a kiosk where you can try it out. It's really hard to describe a VR experience if you've never experienced it. It is a whole other world and to sell more they need that experience in my opinion. Cuz the thing is hella awesome
It's awesome looking but different you have to put a device on your head, hold different controllers, stand up and make room to play for most it's too much instead of just sitting down and gaming. i don't like how much i have to turn my head to look instead of just my eyes.
Yeah, is great tech, if people experienced it more then more will be willing to buy but the problem is that most people don't get that is great because they never used VR.
I bought the psvr2 and no where did it say it couldn’t play psvr1 games which I bought the upgrade thinking “okay some of theee games should work way better because of the stick control. Like Skyrim vr or starwar Vader immortal…then find out “nope can’t play it” So all thee pave 1 games I had when my first vr broke now can’t even play them. There just so much stuff thaf they could’ve done to make this better the fact this was just as much as a ps5 and nothing was out for it. Or what games that were in the 1 version you had to pay for the upgraded version
The control systems are way different, it just doesn't work like that. ITs not Sony that owns most of those psvr1 games. The devs have to do the reprogrammed with the new tracking and control systems to make those games work. It is not Sonys fault you didn't do your research and assumed they would work. 5 minutes and you would of known that, own your mistake don't push it on others.
The VR should have been something that could be used on PC from the beginning. VR is already something that isn't widely adopted so expecting console folks to spend as much for VR as the console was plain stupid on Sony's part.
VR is not a viable option until the current development is released and that lowers the price from 500 to around 199 😅 if they think people wants to move around blinded than they don't understand the reason for VR. it is about .Hack//sign & laying in bed in a completely digital world that allows intensive immersion. If they build a game like VR sets now than it will fail. In a way this is what games that need VR.. PSHome, it was a game to build yourself a home, do a social life how you wish. It is about doing everything you could do in the real world without the dangers, buying that dream car, driving it on a track, living as a millionaire, finding love, but sadly it has to be "that game" and that game is a huge risk when VR headsets are expensive, the PS Home is expensive to afford, Keeping it new with shopping stores opening, it needs a HUGE investment on digital suppliers like Lockwood and others, let the community build it's ownself.. but sadly it will return by 2042 as a better option and be risk less investment but by 2030 we should know if it's something we should look into Look at Fallout 76, it is what a VR game SHOULD be, but just in a VERY LOOSE definition.. no creatures to screw up, no bullet farming, but places to explore, things to create and amazing wonders to stumble on 😅
Vr fails because they all try too hard. Drop out the bullshit my hands actually do things on screen. What they should do is leave the headset as the other all screen. Where you look is what you see, but the rest is all controllers.

I pre-ordered PSVR2, had it for 4 months, and got rid of it. I am glad it’s gone because the user experience vs Meta Quest 3 is painful. Sure the graphical fidelity is slightly better… but it’s attached even with a long cable. The writing was on the wall from the very beginning.

This is where you lose credibility. That fact that you used the they removed all these features from the pcvr support shows one of two things. 1. You're a liar because you understand the reason why those features are not available at present, but you are using it top rip on the psvr2 pcvr support without mentioning the fact, that there are no games that have support for those features or very very few if any on pc. So at present does it matter, maybe down the line but not now? Those features will only work if the game has support for them, name the games that have eye tracking or haptics or the trigger support? If this is the truth, reporting like this makes you a look like a shady channel to people who really understand the tech. Why they didn't put all those VR games on the pc and make them available for the ps5 instead of making that adapter and make you lose all those futures from the psvr2. Is a stupid decision... Making all those pcvr games available for the psvr2 is going to make people prefer the psvr2 because of the future they come with. Is a terrible decision to make people angry about it
@@DistinctionDino Have you tried using it. There are more games that RE4 VR and even though people complain the list of games isn't very big they easily forget it has only been a little more than a year.
Unless used with a high end pc, people will see how good and cost effective the ps5 with psvr2 is due to the dynamic foveated rendering, having to do 1/10 of the workload.
Just how he feels about psvr2 I feel about ps5. I bought it a few months to a year before the price dropped....I was depressed and wanted to return to my childhood by playing some playstation games and even though ps4 was cheaper I kept reading ps5 can play ps4 games so I thought well,its more expensive but I get to play ps4 games + there will be cool new ps5 games for years.... Yep sure. Fell for that crap. Used to have ps1,ps2,psp 2000 and ps3. I was gifted the ps1 and I played it a lot,like every day whole days,even more so with ps2 that I got for birthday,psp was cool and I am starting to wish I had something similar now,ps3 was the first console I bought with my own earned money and tbh I played it the least. And now that ps5 is turning out to be like ps3 its starting to make me feel depressed and kinda mad.
Still no PSVR1 back compatability and they needed the make the PSVR2 an additional screen to play non VR games Imagine if you could play your non VR game on the headset and have a virtual second screen with a guide up or video or just some YT or Anime so muched missed potential...
Also the majority of people are struggling witht the cost of living! If the PS5, PSVR2 and PSVITA 2 all came out before covid they would so much better than they will now...
Lastly people are moving onto PC or the Steam Deck etc because Sony and Microsoft always leave us in the dark like wheres the PS5 pro Xbox Series Pro? Why are games still comming out at 30fps? PS4 games like Bloodborne should run 60fps on PS5... PS5 and Xbox series controllers don't have hall effect joysticks yet even though they both know that stick drift has been a problem since joysticks first came out! You are able to get hall effect sticks on some handheld consoles and some PC controllers for like 3 or 4 years. Why can't people on consoles have better graphics options like PC, why cant we choose to play say Fortnite at 1080p 144hz etc. On top of all this both companies make you pay for monthly subs, Xbox gamepass is pretty good but they dropped games for gold and feels like I haven't seen a good 1st party game since 360... and Sony charges a bit more for a worse games catalogue PSPLUS monthly games are usually abysmal, no 1st party games on there no even 1st party discount for being PSPLUS members.. people are waking up. PC has chepaer games, more versatility, more games total, free to play online, more handheld option the list goes on. I've had every console from Xbox but no mote after Series consoles. Sold my Xbox. I still have a PS5 holding out hope for pro console, hall effect controller, better backwards compatability, PSVITA 2, better monthy games 1st party games join the PSplus or at least some discounts for PSplus members. If not I'll keep saving for a PC and eave consoles goodbye...

The idea was great but execution was flawed you can't be the quest for price and easiness of use you don't need a cable with quest you can play it anywhere yes graphics ain't as good but you can play your PC VR games in the full graphics (depending power of your PC) the price of £459 for basic plus a cheaper quest 3s makes accessibility price point alot cheaper to pick up and once again they didn't support it enough with unique VR games quest will dominate now specailly with the home cinema people you can watch iMax at home in a massive cinema on your own or with friends
I am a psvr1 owner and I also have a psvr2, the fact they have not upgraded the big last gen vr games was a big red flag. They could have upgraded alot of the games and increased the psvr2 vr library . If they just kill psvr2 I am done buying sony stuff, I was thinking of getting the ps5 pro, but since they are killing the vr side I have no incentive to upgrade.
What sony is going to make PSP3, it will fail again!! Sony will not support it with many games, and will do something stupid, like proprietary hardware or something else. Somehow Sony have never learned their lessons!! Always making the same mistakes again and again!
Dang, I am so glad I didn't buy the PSVR2. They mismanaged this thing from day one. Should have been significantly cheaper and PC-compatible from the start. Really bad job by Sony... I will pick it up for PC use eventually (like, at 250 bucks)☺
And remakes why? I don't want to play games that I played 10 years ago I wanna play something new. Yes, the Resident Evil franchise rebooted was great. But other than that nothing. I like how you say the psvr2 is the best headset you've ever owned, then compare it to the QUEST 2!? Of course it's going to be the best headset you've ever owned if it's competition is old tech that costs less than half of what a PSVR2 does. 🤦♂️ Sure the psvr2 graphics are good when you're staring at something. But as soon as you move your head it becomes a blurry wash of headache inducing smear. As for comfort, both the PSVR2 and quest2/3 headsets are absolutely dreadful. The difference is, you can actually do something about it on a quest.
I'm sorry but I could not afford the PSVR 2 after buying a PS5. Especially since the PSVR 2 is more expensive for the PSVR 2 and no content I like. I think I'll stick with my Oculus Quest 2.
I have the first psvr and a quest, the cost of the new psvr is ridiculous. I think charging $60.00 plus more for a cable to use it on a pc COME ON! Hell sony will not even let you play new games with the old psvr. It might be cool, but not for the cost. These companies are pricing themselves out of business. At least on Xbox has backwards compatibility with most of their hardware and games. I have always had PS and Xbox stuff from day one. Not anymore.
They need to do a remake of Vincent‘s part Dirge Of Cerberus that’s the game. I wanna play on the PS 5 but can’t. it’s frustrating because it’s part of the set. Crisis core, Dirge Of Cerberus , FF7 remake, INTERmission ,FF7 rebirth they need to fix that since they brought Vincent out.

Clarkson's Farm is a fantastic show. And I'm one who will be looking forward to your Farming Simulator journey. I'd recommend starting with FS17 imo it's a good entry point, fs19 just adds too much extra nonsense for someone who's new to the franchise which I've been playing since fs 13
Remakes should be a side project. While those are happening they should be spitting out new ps5 games not ps5/ps4 just ps5. They keep focusing on the backwards compatibility and remakes and not enough new ps5 only games. The system has been pot since 2020 and I feel we got shit. I just bought my ps5 last October and while a few good games came out I can’t say it was worth. I more ps4 games on my ps5 than anything
Sony made the 1st generation PSVR games unplayable on the PSVR 2. Also, there weren't many good games for PSVR 2 to warrant paying so much money for it. Also, with PSVR 2 selling so poorly, any developer making a game for it would lose out on any possible profit.
VR, while big in its own right, just generally hasn't had the impact needed to truly stand against the conventional gaming space, be that PC, consoles, and portables. The unfortunately reality is, while the attempt is noble, it's always a uphill battle and especially a difficult sell to perspective buyers when there's inherently a barrier of entry for a system that is, for all intents and purposes, teathered to a console and the aforementioned barrier of entry (a console + VR headset) costing just above 1k in total. This is the reason partially why occulus is doing well in this space by being free of that, but for Sony to commit to VR means decentivising their bread and butter: consoles with their huge conventional first party games. This is understandably a huge gamble for a gaming niche relitivley still in its commercial infancy. There's also no sign that if Sony goes into this space and 100% committed to VR, the foothold they had in conventional gaming would translate or migrate over. Personally, there just aren't a lot of good VR games that can compare to conventional ones to make it a convincing proposition.
I'm just hoping this is all not true and they're still working on VR2 games and maybe making a VR2 2.0 which is more affordable but still have all the functional tech in the first one and still continue to studios for the games. I know a lot of people want the wireless but think how the Oculus quest 3 is you basically had to install games to put other games on and it doesn't even hold enough games The Batman game was horrible on the quest 3.
I'm just sitting here waiting for Ghost of Tsushima 2 Wolverine and a few others.. But I must say with gaming going down in the toilet due to online multiplayer in games as a disservice garbage I have been saving a whole bunch of money not buying anything. Also going back an replaying all the games I already OWN and discovering new things I never did get any new things I never got. It's been awesome

Last year farming simulator was on PlayStation plus essential. I got it started playing it. I’ve never played simulator before. No instruction go to pick up. You’re just there and you walk up to tractors. I am lost so I stop playing.
Sony really dropped the ball with psvr2. I mean they have a great catalog of ip's that people would have loved to play in vr, but they took the toe in the water approach from day one. The lack of compelling software is what killed this thing, price was a factor but not as much as people think. The headset was ok itself, i wish it had pancake lenses and was wireless but beyond that it was fine for what it was. I really hope Sony don't bother with another vr headset because they just simply aren't competent enough to lead the industry.

PS3 emulation is not easy. Even high end PCs struggle to emulate it. You definitely aren't getting in on a handheld. Asking for a dream console is cool and all but it's not that simple
I PSVR2 and it was my first experience with VR love it!!! I hope that they at least still support 3rd party releases cause there are a few games on my wishlist! Problem I see them only say, ‘coming soon’ no other updates. With this news I am worried now!
Just jump into farmsim 2021 honestly it's great tons of mods to fix any issues u might have with a lack of in game items tons of dlc and it's cheap af. The farm sim games take a year to hit their stride with updates
On another slightly off topic note, they should have made way more ps5's than they did because i remember a time where you either had to stay up late and wait for a order window or pay like thousands of dollars 😐

Sony issue is that they don't release enough games outside of Japan. Like the ps vita thousands of games came out in Japan. Outside we get nothing so it never sales. Same with the eye tou 1 and 2.
Bottom line when we tried to buy our sets we got fake or real and bs then was expensive hard to obtain then when you could kinda it was hard to afford didn't even get to try vr to know 🤔
