"We Don't Talk About Bruno" BUT BRUNO IS THE VILLAIN (Encanto) 

Honestly, Bruno is one of those people you could have totally seen as justified to become a villain, but instead is probably one of the nicest people in media. Love that guy.

"Abuela *and* my family" Genius, he doesn't even consider her family anymore.

The fact it's this easy to turn "We Don't Talk About Bruno" into a villain song is both amazing and terrifying.

The way his life turned out, it's a miracle he didn't become a villain.

I need an arch where Mirabel and Bruno are villains because they're both outcast by the family for their gift and lack thereof

Can you even imagine Bruno being there to hear this? "This is the first time they've talked about me in 10 _years._ And this is what they say? What they think of me? My sister still resents me. My nephew thinks I was some kind of undead sorcerer. This is the family I left. They are glad I did. I have never been more alone."

"And I hoped one day they'd ask for me back." That is probably the most gutwrenching line.

If I may, the part that's supposed to be Camilo yelling to Isabella. Instead of silence it could be. "Oh Abuela, Brunito's here!" Or something.

Fun fact: Bruno was actually wishing Pepa a long-lasting marriage when he told her in the wedding that "It looked like rain." After searching in the internet, I saw an article where it mentioned that rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck and considering that Bruno is VERY VERY superstitious (crossing fingers, throwing salts, knocking on woods, etc.) He was prolly just trying to get her to make it rain so her marriage will have good luck.

This is amazing! I loved Bruno in Encanto, but I totally would have become an actual villain. Gone insane just living in the walls, listening to your "perfect" family being perfect without you...

So turned a song about crappin’ on him to a song about his descent into darkness

You know considering everything he went through, the fact that he still remained so kind is a true testament as to how strong he is as a person.

This is so haunting… Made me cry freely… … Imagine the Hatred that would build up over years of pain from being shunned by the people who are supposed to love you unconditionally… You captured that perfectly. It evokes feelings of hurt to hear that “Shame… Shame… Shame…”

The "How about a Reunion" *gets* to me. Like, that is *peak* villain betrayed heros because of how they treated them. Villain Izuku vibes so much rn.

I just wonder how the Madrigal family would react to this.. I’d think Alma would be the one with the most guilt about how she and the village saw her son Bruno as a villain!

Oh boy, that part at the end that was about the whole family singing together about a common "enemy", is now about every insecurity Bruno has joining to destroy his mind? OH MY FEELINGS! STOP THAT!

It somehow gives me "I needed them to accept and hear me all my life so now I'll make them"-vibes. Ah yes Mirabel finding a broken ,depressed, hopeless and resentful Bruno and manipulates him to return. After hearing her words and her coaxing. he decides to do one final prophecy. The room swirls with streaking thunder and winds and Mirabel feels the failing joinery of the Casita slipping, she watches as the floor boards glow with a mixture of flickering gold and phosphorous green and starting to crumble apart. Bruno inhales, hands opening and them curling into claws as he angrily starts reciting the vision he sees as dust and mortar begin to rain down upon them. A lout bang and Mirabel wheels around seeing a gaping hole in the Encanto's facade. The Madrigals facade. She runs to the gapping and failing wall, hanging off a beam, her dress billowing in the gusts from Bruno's reading, singing on top of her lungs, "HEY CASITA! ITS TIME TO BUILD SOMETHING NEW! I've been patient! And steadfast! And steady!" Her eyes land on her family, "BLESS ME NOW!!! AS YOU BLESSED US ALL THOSE YEARS AGO! WHEN YOU GAVE HER A MIRACLE! WATCH ME NOW!!! AND I'M GOING TO TAKE THAT MIRACLE!" she bellows as the Encanto rips itself from the the cozy home it once was, and swirling in a mass of debris from the Encanto proper but also all the internal rooms and finally, revealing Bruno. "Ah, Abuelita~, I found Tio Bruno~! Why don't you listen to what he has to say for once!"

This just turned into a song about trauma caused by rejection and psychological abuse.... i *love* it

And her friends (who were also my only friends, they were like my family. (I was the only boy in the group)) started accusing me of things I didn't do, all on a simple misunderstanding. When I tried to explain and show them they were wrong about me, they started saying it was HARASSMENT. As a result, I lost my best friend, and all my other friends blame me for NOTHING. I can't help but imagine this version of Bruno is always wearing a mask (bucket or etc) that covers his face and makes it easier to switch into different personalities. We never actually see his face till after the Casita crumbles away causing his mask to crack and we see he is crying underneath. He is free... they all are. They may not thank him for becoming the villain they made him out to be, but at least he is tell we talk about him..... Also you did a great job and deserves more subs.

Seeing Bruno shed a tear in the background makes me think of all the pain he felt and the fact that he must've been dying inside this whole time. Really makes me feel for him

In this song it seems like..Bruno is not the villain…it’s just his side of the story and him being sad

This sound amazing! I'm just a little confused on who is singing what. I saw Mirabel's name so I know it's mostly Bruno singing to her and then she sings a bit, but there were times where there was a voice singing something extra over the lyrics on the screen, and then the big mash-up at the end was at least 3 different parts so that couldn't be just Bruno and Mirabel. Still, great job. If there's 1 thing I always look forward to in any musical, it's a great villain song.

I like how Bruno is in the movie, but I must admit, he'd make a good villain: Not a simple black-and-white baddie, but a misunderstood individual pushed beyond his limit.

this is such an interesting concept honestly! Bruno in canon is such a sweet boyo, maybe a bit nutty due to his gift and being alienated, but he couldve so easily become the villain. what would make a really nice flip on the canon story is whats being depicted in this song: that Bruno is basically going from being lonely to vengeful and a bit aloof and indifferent to his family's plight(s), whether hes the cause or not because it's basically the thought process of "Well, I tried to warn you...you didnt listen". another interesting concept would be if there was potential for one's gift to become corrupted and so, as Bruno spirals further down into his anger and feeling of betrayal by his own flesh and blood, his foresight gift "evolves" for the worse and he takes a path of vengeance. the only logical villain plot i can think of is he tries to put an end to the Encanto because if the Encanto is snuffed out then the gifts will be revoked no doubt and then everyone will be on a level field. they certainly wont forget about him if he manages to end the Encanto after all...

You know something, when I watched Encanto for the first time, I thought that all the Mardigals hate Bruno and they locked him up for all eternity which is sickening, dark, cruel and somehow legit screwed up about somebody from your family member did some bad things and then your family locked him up in the dark which is so messed up to me, but I'm glad with this version of this song though.

As someone who really does not like 'We don't talk about Bruno', I really like that your cover of the song since it makes itself to be really tense and making Bruno out to be a tragic figure that fell into villainy because of his family shutting him out of fear of his "gift."
