Even allowing for the wide-angle lens, the whole vessel seems to be an amazing blend of compactness and spaciousness. I could easily imagine hitting the lotto, then cruising around to Mobile, AL. You dedication was incredibly touching and speaks so highly of your character. May God's peace comfort the family.
RIP to Jeffery and Bubby and my sincere condolences to family and friends. Obviously, with both gone there has been a tragedy of some kind. Lovely yacht with a great layout, great decor and stunning woodwork. You can't go past varnished timber and dark blue carpet, they pair so well. This boat has obviously been very well looked after, the condition is amazing, especially for a liveaboard. One thing I noticed, she's missing an icemaker. Apart from that she has everything one would need both as a liveabourd and as a passagemaker. Well worth the asking price.
I have never seen a more decked out beautiful yacht as this one. WOW. Like you said, "it checked off all the boxes" WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm in love. 🥰
The best boat for live aboard that you guys have shown us. In the size bracket. Easily handled by one person. Would be better in Florida, IMO. Love this yacht. Would the owner take a check? Three party on a Liberian bank. (3rd time watching.)
Beautiful boat with amazing woodwork. I like that the fuel tanks create a buffer between the engine room and master. That really keeps the generator noise at bay.
That is a very nice boat for sure. The wood on the doors below is called bubinga. I is just so beautiful wood, actually endangered in many regions and therefore incredibly costly. Some of the most fancy Steinway and Mason and Hamlin pianos sports bubinga wood, for instance, and they typically cost double up the price of the regular piano, which is not exactly cheap. I am only disappointed, that we did not hear any sealions.
Such a well laid out yacht! You would never know it is a 2007. Only Victoria and Rico could have brought out all the features so seamlessly. Your brief memorial at the end showed how your videos have touched so many different people. Thank You!!!
🙏Jeffrey Turner & Bubby 🙏 🌼💙💙💙💙💙💙💙🌼 to the family remember the moments of Joy that's how Love ones should be honored, for We ALL go through this "Life" that Is but a Moment in the Journey of the Mystery call Life. Blessings to ALL‼️
This is was done before the new hair cut.❤ I see the pastability has sea loin prevention lattice for swim platform 🎉 The colors and layout is very nice. Smart for the auxiliary controls aft. This is an easily managed bost for 2 people. Cockpit is entertainment central. 😊 Love all the BIRD deterents. 🐦 really great height safety rails. This boat really set up well for couple my age😂😂😊 galley 🎉 big fridge, Lots of room for the grandkids.. what's not to like😊😊 Rope lights in engine room , that was odd, but very useful Great tour guys ❤❤❤
only problem is!!! where can you go with it? 570 mile range. gets you there fast, but now what? Basically a coastal cruiser or a stay at the dock summer house.
@Navy1977 In the 1990s I met a elder couple that used a converted small channel freighter (a french Penniche iirc) as their home. Due to the layout they even had a small car on board. And since it was a former commercial boat they could use all features of the channel/river network easily. They got no where fast but had been through quiet a few western european countries and planned for east europe
An impeccably maintained boat that was clearly loved by its owners. Also, really liked the sunburst ceiling design in the main area. Thanks for another great tour.
What an awesome idea to prevent birds pooping on the boat... Notice a wind meter thing on top of the layout cushions, was wondering why it's there instead on top of the boat.. but I guess there is a good reason (like the one with the toilet in a trunk, CDM Darwin 106 😁).. awesome liveaboard
Gorgeous boat with lovely finishes throughout. Good decisions on all the key items. Just a shame it's rather over-engined with such a short range. Wish we'd see boat builders produce a displacement vessel like this, 8 knots and 2500nm range would be great.
@Navy1977 Of course Berings come to mind!!! No, too over-built, I'd prefer something more akin to the FPB 78, but looking less like a gunboat! I've always admired the principles set out in George Beuhlers Troller Yacht concept, but without the paravanes! His design Idlewild went around the world on a 55hp engine! I'd just like to add a little luxury!
I was having a shitty day until I remembered it's Saturday. I knew this would cheer me up. Anyone out there want to give me $1,295,000. How did he and his dog pass. RIP
Your thoughtful dedication is so meaningful and I'm sure very appreciated. Your two are Awesome. Great Tour, Great Live Aboard and Victoria must have really liked the showers, spending more time than usual in them. 💙⚓️
Stupid question: When did external docking controls become a popular item, Rico? This Yacht is worth crossing the country to have a look at. Victoria; could you find a single thing lacking on this 1/ million Ocean Alexander? As I live my best life, vicariously joining you two I can't disagree. This Ocean Alexander 64' Pilothouse is a Perfect Liveaboard. A fre ing, fantastic experience.
I did not see a dedicated ice maker, nor did I see a storage area for paper charts. There is a nice surface in the pilot house to lay out paper charts, but not to store them. Also did not see a FW outlet to hose down the anchor line/chain... And finally, did not hear if there is interior Air Conditioning Unit....
I used to be a yacht tech in San Diego, and I can tell you, whom ever is doing the maintenance on this vessel is an absolute legend. You could spot any corrosion, oxidation or leak in a heart beat since they keep it so tidy. Never seen sea strainers that size LOL. Love to see it! Fellow sailor here and also, I'm just now waiting for the edit to finish from this weekends Chicago Boat Show 2024. Check out my channel for today's boat reviews and boating tips from the vendors themselves! Great work @nautistyles !!!
I'd love it... she's a beauty but where are the sails? You guys are great. Remember SV Beowulf. Some of your followers are truly crazy dreamers. All good. Just remember. B.Swift 😎🤙
This ship was welllll loved! After watching so many of your videos, I'd really love to know your thoughts on the best style and size boat for first time full-timers. Just my wife and I in the Seattle area. I feel like I can trust the 2 of you more than anyone at this point when it comes to boating advice 😂
Would love to help you guys, considering joining us on the Patreon.com/nautistyles as we are able to communicate without restrictions there and have some good liveaboard advice content on there already
Question: What is the FLIR for? Does one use it for docking / driving in fog etc? And if yes - how difficult is it to interpret the picture these days? The late cold war thermal sights I used in the 1980s took getting used to
Actually, according to Dr. Paul Reiter who served on the IPCC, it's not climate change responsible for spread of mosquitoes. They were/are spread through transportation of tires carrying water with mosquito larvae. Makes perfect sense. We are told so often to make sure we have no standing water around, and unfortunately, it's difficult to keep standing water out of tires. Magnificent boat - loved all the woodwork!
I am going to have to write about the boat later. My heart goes out to the family and their loss. It hits home. Thank your for your compassion you two.
QUESTION?? ... as you walk into the interior .. do you guys prefer carpet or some sort of hard flooring in ANY Boat?? .... WOW!!! ... That owners cabin is DA BOMB!! ... The Engine Room is truly beautiful.
Thank you for your condolence for your follower and all the Best for his Family 🕯️🙏🏼. The condition of the Yacht and the well thought Details are great. What was also a nice Detail were the Figurines Miss Piggy, the Bird Clock in the Galley and below the Deck was a Disney Style (Pinocchio ?) Art. Thank you so much for your great Kindness and Humor and have a great Weekend.
Amazing liveaboard - and absolutely stunning ❤ And it's on the correct coast for me! I could probably trade in my house in order to buy it! (Um. That's not happening!) Thanks for the tour!
HAHAHA Happy wife happy marriage, I really liked the hidden docking stations. Wow the Salon looks like it could be from the 40's. Victoria and Rico comedy hour LOOOOOOVE IT.
Nice touch at the end. That yacht was stunning. I was practically drooling looking at that woodwork. I would not want to polish all that, but God's it's beautiful. Loved the mini country kitchen/ galley layout and the salon is perfect. One of the best live aboards you've shown. 10 out of 10.
It takes 1500 gallons of fuel just to go 570 nautical miles? Seems like it would only need to use one engine. That's a lot a fuel just to go 570 miles. Supposedly diesel Burns cleaner but but thats alot, I don't think cars are the problem. Airplanes burn thousands of pounds per hour, injecting emissions directly into the atmosphere but nobody talks that. And that little boat burns turn off a lot of fuel. Commercial boats have be burning trillions of gallons within hours every day
Beautiful yacht. Love the internal stairs between the two helms and of course the polished wood throughout the vessel. Great live aboard . I was also wondering about the dish washer, glad you found it. Thanks for the tour.
Hi Guys, Yeah It was this one I think mm Riv 58? Ocean Alexander? Faster? Slower? I think it was 570 ish nm @ cruise for this one any idea what happens with this one if you say slow to 8.5/10 kts? Love you Guys, T
Storage, storage, storage, storage and more storage!! I think your perfect boat would be a floating walk in closet. That's all you guys talk about. I'll bet you that you cannot make a video tour without saying " storage ".
Ocean Alexander is a brand of shipbuilder, that I think is on par with some of the best shipbuilders out there like Sanlorenzo, Tankoa and Bering. This particular ship isn't doing anything for me, it's too shiny and not a fan of the decor, on a boat this size they could have done something nicer, their larger ships on the other hand, are amazing.
Not sure what it is about you guys.....but love the content. On a personal note I find myself fast forwarding to the engine room tour. Sorry Victoria, I have seen you open enough drawers and closets.
If we are to be a bit critical, I thought the custom modification to the bed in the side cabin (18:45) was hard to understand. The bed was made smaller, and the whole thing looks odd... for what benefit exactly? A bit more storage space was gained, but one could also just place storage boxes on top of the bed. That's what I have done in my boat. I do love the rails in the ceiling...; That's a discreet way of turning a cabin into a walk-in closet! Will steal this idea.
