Congratulations. I did the same in November it was sweet and less stressful. My kids in my class loved it as well all they could talk about was I have a ring now that means I’m married lol.

Congrats! My husband and I eloped as well. It was PEACEFUL and it really was that realization that we were now one and together against the world so to speak. I completely get your reasons because they were so similar to mine. Weddings are expensive, you want peace, and that money could be put to better use at the moment. We decided that if we ended up ever wanting a wedding with friends and family, we would just do it on a milestone anniversary. We are about to celebrate year 8 in April and have no regrets about eloping. And yes, they asked the same question about me being pregnant😑. People are rude lol. But again congrats! And sorry about your house. Godspeed with the insurance and getting things fixed.
