I love the enemies to best friends arch that is Steven and Marc. That despite Steven kissing and being in love with his wife, Marc is thrilled to see Steven and hugged him. and I just hated that scene with Marc and Layla because I could feel Marc's guilt/shame with Layla. People just hate how stoic Marc is, but I don't know. Like I can hear the emotions in his voice like he was about to cry and he always seem like he is on the brinks of tears when he lies to Layla. He just good at masking his feelings, however it's under the surface.

Mark is fucking depressed af. He keeps mentioning that he should have died and he obviously is living with guilt. He is so bad with dealing emotions that he hurts the people around him but he is not a bad person. He really needs help.

@@shineexokpop6824 yeah. Marc truly is and I don't know why people don't see it and just think Marc is heartless and a horrible husband. The man died, got possessed by a manipulative god, fell in love with the right person but at the wrong time, and had to leave that person behind and keep it a secret as to why. Like that's traumatic

I thought it was abundantly clear to the audience that A) Marc is in love with his wife, deeply, and the only reason why he’s doing any of the shit he’s doing is to protect her and B) Marc is NOT okay and is not making the best judgement calls because he is deeply traumatized. His spirit is turned into dust, he’s coming to terms with a traumatic mental disorder, his marriage is falling apart, he’s going through it. But it’s clear that Marc cares a shit ton. I didn’t know a lot of people thought he was a stoic and unfeeling character. I thought it was obvious that he’s very emotional and cares a lot.

ABSOLUTE MAD LADS DOING THE LEMIRE ALLUSION. Probably one of the biggest risks the MCU has ever taken and I greatly applaud them for it. I’ve been absolutely loving this series so far, I really hope these last two episodes hit the landing

@@MonicaCatapusan It's a pretty long show (7 seasons, most of them 20+ episodes) with a long spinoff too (5 seasons). And some parts of it haven't aged very well, considering the show was written by Joss Wheadon. But still a very worthwile watch.

Hi Monica, sorry your health is not the best today, but you look lovely as always and performed a great reaction once again. You might have seen Marvel Legion about Professor Xavier's son that is now shown on Hulu which is a very nice Marvel show to do a reaction to. I think Marc is in between life and death a kind of limbo staging area before crossing over to death but the hippo which is an Egyptian god that is a protector and rebirth and was displayed in the first episode at Steven's job at the museum's store as a stuff animal and plastic hippos. I think the hippo Taweret is there to help Marc make it back to the real world and to save Khonshu.

It's most likely a reference to Rick Riordan's Kane Chronicles book series. They are probably in the underworld, and it is said that there is a hospital for the ill in the underworld and Taweret manages it. Because of the swinging lamps, the hospital might be inside a ship. That ship is most likely the one we see in the purple place in the trailer. So they are in the underworld.

I was so shocked when he was shot and almost thought everything was in his head but knew it couldn’t be because seeing Steven confirmed it. I hope we get to finally meet Jake next episode and the hippo I researched represents rebirth so he should come back new. 🤗 Also, always love your reactions and matching outfits for the shows Monica! ❤️

I find it funny that Monica points out that Layla is not in LOVE with steven and would probably find it to the level of cheating because Layla's comic counterpart (in one run) has a whole affair with Jake behind Marc (and Steven)'s back, gets pregnant after ending the affair because it didn't feel right to be with Jake while being in love with Marc, gives birth to a daughter, and her and Jake promptly keep it a secret from Marc and Steven until their daughter is like 5 years old with the daughter only knowing about "Uncle Jake" .

4:18. that makes sense since allergic reactions are al in the brain. it is the mind overeacting to a certain substance. so it makes sense why different alters can be allergic to say cheese and another isn't because the mind will react to it differently. come to think of it the same is said for smell an taste. how we react to a taste or smell is all in our head and that is why one alter can like something and another can't. i always thought it weird that alters can like different foods until this video. thanks Monica

This isn't a spoiler as the showrunner basically told this story, but the hippo lady is Temeret and she should be a friend. I don't know for sure what is happening, but I think the boys need to release the third personality and recognize the truth about each other. But my major question is where is Ammit? If Layla has it, I think this might be Harrow trying to get an snwer out of Marc. If Marc still has it but Harrow hasn't taken it, this is Ammit. But there is a darker story that the comics here is based on that I cannot figure out how it works here.

I’m enjoying your reactions so much. Been missing the show lately so I went searching for reactions. I love how much background knowledge you have on DID. It’s so rare that not everyone gets it or understands much of how things work when they first watch it so it’s cool to have the perspective of someone who has a decent amount of psychology knowledge. While I don’t think it would ever be a career choice for me I’ve always had a sort of side interest in psychology, so this stuff really fascinates me as well. I also have a friend who deals with it ( coincidence, right), so I went on a deep dive to make sure I didn’t say or do anything stupid. 😄

They've been teasing a third personality (Jake) since episode one. first it was in episode one when Steven is in the museum looking for what he thinks is a lost dog and as he walks past this glass expose we see 2 reflections and not just one (Mark) and the second time was last episode where he kills the mercenaries and both Mark and Steve think it was the other who did it.

This episode brought out a lot of emotions in me and it also made me cringe and I have no idea why, it just did so yeah it was a very enticing episode and I absolutely loved it 🥰, I also think I kind of ship Marc and Steven together more than anyone else don’t judge me 😂, I Also think that the next episode might be themed around Mark and Stephen embracing the chaos inside of them and learning to except their depression and identity disorder, and all that kind of crazy stuff. Anyways love ya 🥰
