I am a windshield installer. At about 00:03:00 Keith had his foot on the passenger side dash board. Under his foot is an air bag. When that airbag deploys it moves at around 180 mph. I'm sure while hwy driving the odds are slim that the air bag would deploy, but if you were willing to put your foot there for hwy driving you would probably do it in bumper to bumper traffic without considering what your foot might do to your face if the air bag deployed, lol. Stay safe.

Our house on Carriacou got ripped down to concrete slabs. Heartbreaking. Luckily our Carriacou family & friends are safe. Carriacou was heaven on earth. There are +/-8000 people on Carriacou. They lost their houses, their cars, their goats & sheep, their income-everything. It was a self sufficient economy; now it will be a dependent one. Truly a horror show for these wonderful people.
@@agnespook6310 We were safe & sound in Florida. We have people who are essentially family who were living in our house as well as other friends (one named Agnes, fyi). I appreciate the caring. It truly is/was a unique places; one of the few where the black locals were very well off and the European expats were living more hand to mouth (renting from the locals). Not a servant culture like more touristy islands. It seemed like an unnatural event-like Lahaina. I hope it's not a land grab.

Grenada got hit really hard! So many people lost not only the8r lives but they lost everything. My prayers go out to all those effected by the Hurricane
We are south of Houston, it hit us directly, luckily it was only a CAT1 by the time it hit us. Lost part of our roof shingles and some trees. Not the worst I’ve been in.
I am positive that thousands of armchair sailors, myself included, have been sitting on pins and needles, wondering how your boat fared in the hurricane. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the many people impacted by Beryl, and was glad that your family had left before the storm made it there. I was so relieved that Zatara survived as well. And now, with Finn heading out on his quest, it's time to settle back and open the next chapter of Sailing Zatara adventures!
I’m in Rockport Texas. Alberto dumped about 7inches of rain on us. Beryl just missed us, but did a number on Houston, Texas as it made land fall. It’s still early in the season. Prayers to all.

So glad you are safe. We are in Pearland and suffered wind damage as far as our trees. Houston has the water. Many trees down, limbs and fences. Feel truly blessed and protected.
I got a huge smile when I saw Finn's shirt, US Army Ft Riley. Fort Riley is a very large Army base about 50 miles from my home. My older brother, retired Army veteran, was stationed at Fort Riley. So was his wife, they met while stationed there. That was pretty cool.

Wow. I left home at 18 back in 1992, with a 1973 Volkswagen camper van. Just hearing that motor in the video has brought back so many good memories. Looking forward to the van life videos even more now.

I live in Beach City, Tx, east of Houston. I feel very blessed we had a some fence damage and lost power part of the day. Houston has 1.7 million without power. Prayers to all the folks with have issues.

Good episode guys. Sucks to be sick. I left my boat in St. George’s on June 26. She did fine in Hurricane Beryl but so much damage up north in Carriacou. You were smart to haul out at Clarkes. I've been waiting with bated breath for this video. Zatara was not happy with any ole hurricaine. You had to have a record breaking storm that snuck up from behind. Glad you all got out in time.
I thought Kieth was kidding when he said you were glassing over the hatches. But when Renee said, "we decided to get rid of them", I realized he was serious. "More harm than good" is a true statement until the boat is capsized and you are trapped in a hull. Let's just hope that never happens.

It's okay to let them leave the nest you have really well grow kids and smart and know what they want to do I didn't have any ideas when I was there age I'm 65 now with not alot of time to go and sail the world but I got you guys to watch thank you 😊❤

Congratulations to Finn for getting his driver's license! If people choose to live in the path where hurricanes will come EVERY year, they should build homes that can handle hurricanes. The same for Tornado Alley in the United States. Anyway, have a good week !
