I love going to book stores, and some of these would drive me wild. The issue is that now, as opposed to 15 years ago, I have a wife and 2 kids and not a ton of room for buying a plethora of new books. I'm slightly jealous of this "adventure". Keep up the good work Jay!

I hated Canterbury Tales too. I took a British Literature class at the local community and we spent most of the semester with that book and just barely got to Hamlet. Didn't even get to Gulliver's Travels, so a year later I read that one on my own. I love bookshops that are ceiling to floor, but we don't have any like that here.

Hey Jay, I really enjoyed this, it let me get that bookstore hype vicariously through you! I'd love to hear your thoughts on the David Gemmell books. I read these in my late teens about 10 years ago and loved them. They were some of the first fantasy books I read and got me hooked in the genre but I don't seem to see much of him about booktube.

I would love it so much if I had book stores like these near me. How wonderful to have so many isles to browse through. I would get lost among the books for hours and they would have to drag me out kicking and screaming at closing time.

Everyone time I visit the mall and see a Book store. Me to my parents: I am going in an adventure. (You can imagine me waving like Bilbo now) This is one of the best videos, like who doesn't like bookstore tour... Great work Jay. Definetly do more of these. And you two look great together. Would love to see a Book review where you two review the book together. And I am a slow reader so I am still on the NOTW. I just finished the part where Kvothe gets into Eolian. And oh my god! The beauty with which Rothfuss describes Music is just amazing.

You should read the How To Train You're Dragon book series if you haven't already. Yes, it's a children's book series, but it's a fantastic children's book series. It's like the wheel of time in the fact that the final four books are way better than the first few, and different in the fact that the first few books in How to Train Your Dragon are still enjoyable to read. Not to mention the fact that you can knock out the whole series in an afternoon or two.

That manga section is massive. Just Wow. I don't even know if my bookstore sells manga. It's definitely hard to find if it does... And that edition of Assassin's Quest is a blight on illustrated editions of books. :) I liked the vibe in this vlog, so calm and you two vibe well together on screen

@Captured in Words now im farther into the book now and saw more art, but still. With the first one there were so many... It really feels like they totally cheaped out here. I hope robin hobb continues with illustrated versions of the tawny man trilogy and corrects for it. But im really bummed that we never got a beautiful piece of art for Jhaampe town. Perfect opportunity. Well, what can we do. As you said, theres so little good art out there of this series. Ps: i hope youll one day be able to make a video on this series :)

Fun fact indigo considers itself a “lifestyle” store. I used to work there it was pretty fun and it’s how I started my little library due to the discount I got and that really helped

Discount was great and they say lifestyle because of the products they sell are supposed to enhance how you live and enjoy it more. So like they sold tea leaves in the past where the funds would go towards different causes or stylized items that change or go with the aesthetic of your home or maybe a product to support your hobbies like different paints or sketching pencils then they also sold hand made pant acrylics and stuff. I hope that explained the lifestyle reasoning but ye

I actually really like Phule's Paradise; it's so funny! Although I think I like the first book in the series, Phule's Company, even more! Most of my books are in storage right now, except for one small bookcase, but those two made the cut, and I'm looking right at them. :-)

Oh dude I started work at a bookshop and the fantasy books were all out of order namely the Witcher, Rift War Cycle and the Cosmere etc. I thought I can't handle this if I have to walk past that everyday I will loose it lol. I set aside 30 mins and later that day when I left work it was all nicely organised in ORDER lol phew. Let's just say I could go back the next day and feel way more at ease haha.

I don't have a local bookstore, and it makes me immensely sad. But Powells delivers, and that's the most local non-chain bookstore near me. There's a Barnes and Nobel that's 45 minutes away... but I prefer to get books from Powells.

Awww that's too bad there's no local bookstore D: Actually I guess the closest bookstore to me is about 25mins away, but usually I try to make a trip out of it so I go to bigger ones that are further away. That's nice Powells delivers!

Ah, I find great things at the Value Village, or the Salvation Army has great surprises to (with 10 books for $4) though not so often the big current fantasy series with all the volumes. Ontario's on heavy lockdown for a while now, so I'm not sure if this satisfied my itch to book shop or made it worse! Either way, I'll watch more of these if you make it a series. :D
