Hello my friends. It turned out to be a cool video. I really liked the beautiful nature and the amazing rocks there. Great views to this stunning landscapes and very well captured.🤩
Very cool, I’d love to spend a week in Nevada. It has to be one of the most underrated states in terms of unique hiking in the country, this was great, thank you for taking us along!
Thanks, yes I think it's very underrated. We loved the Great Basin National Park. Those videos will start on Tuesday. The stop at Cathedral Gorge was to break up the drive and we were so impressed with it. Have an awesome weekend.
Incredible adventure! The rock formations were definitely out of this world. I liked the bird crowing in the background. Those walkways through the rocks looked fun to explore.
It was a really great park. We also stopped at a wildlife refuge on the drive back that we were really impressed with. That will be coming up in a few videos from now.
What a cool place👍. Nature does some crazy things. Really lobe The shot startting at 1:09 👍👍. Thank you for sharing and all the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
It is a long way from PA, and quite a different environment! Those are cool formations, a bit like Bryce Canyon, but a lot more muddy looking! What fun!
@@hikingoutdoorfamily I have take international visitors to a series of the Western parks and I am always amazed how many people like Bryce best. Not my cup of tea, but everyone is different!
I have heard of this location but never researched it. You have sold it to us it looks so interesting and you filmed and shared what it is like so well your descriptions and were good. I have added it on my list! Yes Long was from Pennsylvania! Thx for sharing!
Neat place! Kind of reminds us of Badlands National Park in a way. Love the maze between the towering formations. Wow. Camping there would be fun. Awesome state park!
Hearing you say it reminds you a bit of Badlands makes me want to go there so much. That area has been on my list for a while now. I hope I get there one day!
This is such a gorgeous state park. We haven’t done a ton in Nevada. We did drive the loneliest highway and checked out one of the blm areas with petroglyphs and visited one of their state parks that had some old mining stuff. This one is very cool. We ever make it back there, we will have to try to visit it. I love that you can take your pets. Thanks so much for sharing.
This place was awesome. That sounds interesting to see petroglyphs and mining history. Another place we visited a few years ago in Nevada was the valley of the fire state park and that was another beautiful spot. Thanks for watching.
Hi HOF This is EPIC! The rock formation is remarkable. I see weathering, but how were they form this unique shapes? This is one of the reason I would love to visit the WEST. My bucket list is getting longer and longer, haha. Thank you and sorry I have a lot to catch up on due to my evacuation that makes difficult to manage. Back home there was no power, no gas, no internet, no cell service, no water, food shortage, and curfew at 7:30 pm as we self-evacuated. Now we were told it would take 8wks to restore the water system.
Yes, there are just so many incredible rock formations and landscapes like this out west. Here is an explanation of how it was formed: parks.nv.gov/learn/natural-resources-climate/natural-resources-and-climate-of-cathedral-gorge-state-park#:~:text=The%20spires%20and%20buff%2Dcolored,ash%20hundreds%20of%20feet%20thick I'm so sorry to hear what you are dealing with after the hurricane! Take care
@@hikingoutdoorfamily Thank you, we are preparing for antoher hurricane approaching to FL. haha hurricanes must like me...if I lose the power, I may get behind on vids....sorry
It was about mid 70s so comfy in jeans and tee shirts. You'll see in one of our upcoming park videos, it was 41 degrees when we started hiking in the national park in the morning. That was chilly!
