I agree and as long as they don't "send it" ...into a wall at the FF like what happened to Uncle Sam I think a lot of us will be happy to see the truck back. Also if any of you know how to contact Cleetus tell them to put a snap on canvas top like a jeep or boat has for Leroy and race week. Would make life a lot nicer then duct tape and cardboard.
2SSRS 5th Gen ...... Its also being humble and appreciative which you can tell Cleetus is. Not claiming to know him just sayin!!! Either way the guys are killin the game🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️
Kevin seems like the most genuine, honest, good guy all around. Hes a Genius mechanic and computer wiz. Not to mention hes also an at home teacher and father and business owner. Props to this dude
No mention of the rest of Kevins weekend lol Saturday drag raced , sunday did this and ripped at the factory and back at the shop today in gvl He is a genuine amazing dude I dont know how he does all he does.
Kevin is a single Dad ???? WOW of 3 GIRLS, GOD BLESS that man and his little girls. He deserves the world 🌎. I come from a single mom. Your strength speaks volumes. Life’s not easy man. But you keep a smile on you’re face. That’s soo cool
Thats because he is genuinely loved growing up. That cause reverberations all around. He always gives credit and kudos.... even when he himself doing his thang.
I can say Kevin is genuiinely like that. I talked to him a bout justinstalling some headers on my sons car since I didnt have time and son didnt have a place to do it. Kev sends me pics, o btw i rerouted one of the tubes for clearance and hoggged out and rewelded the collector flanges cause i didnt like the welds and slag! Known him since when he worked parts counter at local speed shop
My dad was a single parent of 3, has the patience that would make a saint jealous, he waited 5 years to get even with me from a practical joke. that's just once example.
@@Shiftheads the beautiful thing is, it's only hard some days, my little girl in is my world. And the reward far far out weighs the hard times. Im not saying you don't feel the same.
vibalite vibalite no, it doesn’t. Everything that goes into the turbo goes into the engine albeit it gets pulverized but you can still dust an engine. You definitely shorten the lifespan of the impeller and inlet housing by not running a filter too. Please, don’t spread ignorance for truth. Too much of that going on already.
Kevin is dad of the year! Single dad of 3 daughters , homeschooling them, owning a shop, and tuning badass cars! So much for “male privilege” 😂😂 it’s all just hard work!
My respect for him grew further upon learning he's a single father, you can just sense the amount of work he puts into every aspect of life and I guarantee he's an amazing father because of that!
I really appreciate the personalities of both Kevin and Brent. Two of the most intelligent, talented, kind, patient, and humble guys I've seen in the RU-vid (or real) auto world.
Hands down the best dude around. You forgot about Kyle and jamie aswell. Them dude are so cool. With the hole pfi speed boosted boys and the big cleetaah have to be the best combo of dude ever seen. Then through fred and Kyle in from 1320 and have the best group of dude the world has ever seen
Its like he was thinking "Ah, I can't get a hold of a shorter air cleaner. Can't slim the intake manifold. Eh, lets move the engine down, lower center of mass can't hurt." Doesn't even think about how much time and effort it will take, he just does it. Now that deserves a group _HELL YEAH BROTHER_ cuz dang son, he's a top notch father.
You know that someone *really* knows their craft, when they do things for the customer that the customer didn't even know that they wanted until they saw it. There were like, a half-dozen of those moments here. What a fantastic guy.
Kevin is the man! Entrepreneur and a single father taking care of 3 girl's is spectacular! That's a lot of hard work and God bless Kevin when those girls hit their teens if it hasn't happened yet! Good luck brother!
@@Readmypost he's 100 percent covered by Texas Speed. He loves them and they love him. He also generates massive sales for them. Cleetus is extremely marketable 😁
The fact that you guys can actually offer rides to Veterans in a Dale racecar on a private racetrack brings a tear to my eye. Such a good job boys keep it up!
I know it's been said many times in the comments so far, but I'm gonna say it again: Mad props to Kevin for getting things done right. Having an eye for detail, cleanliness, functionality, and purpose makes ALL the difference in a fabricator. I'm glad he's got a lot of cars in the shop. Those folks are gonna be damn happy with their cars afterwards.
Lovely to see people like Kevin are still around. Passionate about what he does and attention to detail is off the chart. Wiping his ass would be a military mission. Kudos to you sir.
Definitely. I love Cleetus and James and Cooper but I get frustrated so many things are half assed and there is little regard for aesthetics where guys like the Goonzquad do things right. I know they're not quite the same goals but I'd rather they take their time on some builds.
Thank God for people like Kevin. I am a total believer in doing things right and he sure has sorted out the Dale Truck for you to now be able to enjoy fully. Be nice to have another ripper that is also a reliable runner. Neighbor has done well for you so now that Dale Truck can be another. Be nice to let him have Neighbor. That off center steering wheels kills me every time I see it. Yes, I am a lol OCD.! LOL! As Always, May God Bless you and yours!
@@mjl111683 that's exactly what that is. It's the anti-acrobatic flap to add downforce when going backwards. It will shut itself going forward. Most likely on the launch, but if not a bit of airflow
@@mjl111683 I be understanding some of that arrow theory and all, but usually I catch a purge post-burnout before staging. A $0.50 spring would surely make the silhouette much more clean just before a truck says adios.
The one mod I was waiting for with the Dale truck is the fuel filler being hooked up properly. Now its just a bit more authentic. And they now need a NASCAR fuel can to use with it
I’m a Nascar nut and know these cars in and out. My kids can tell you the year of any NASCAR just by looking at it. Kevin, you did a fantastic job! The way these are setup for circle tracks and to try to get them to have street manners is nearly impossible without major surgery. He did it the correct way with the geometry of the spindles. They are setup to pull left always along with the rear yawed out purposely.
I've definitely been asking why hasn't this beast lapped the freedom factory oval? Its literally purpose built to turn left. Im so glad it's finally happening.
Kevin has done the dale truck proud. His the sort of bloke you could throw your keys at pop back when finished and not need to check anything his done. Very rare in this day and age.
His most satisfied customers have done this often. I gave him an empty slate to build as if it were his own. The results are amazing and extremely functional. It’s fast as hell also. Never second guessed any of his decisions.
Up here in Canada we just had one of our Snowbird jets crash and we lost a Snowbird team member. Best wishes to all involved. Our hearts go out to you.
It’s really crazy how far we have come in the past 30 years. I mean back in the 90’s 400 horsepower was a stout motor now with 1200 bucks you can make that from a junkyard 350 or 5.3
Been missing this truck! Kevin is a good dude to have workin on your cars. Always admired people that went above and beyond. It’s so cool that the majority of the stuff he didn’t to the truck wasn’t even asked!
Kevin is a rare rare mechanic. The level of raw innovation and detail he put into Mullet was astpunding. It seemed like that car was his lifes work. Car has gone down straight for years.
I feel like after this we are just going to start losing some of the cars from the channel for 3 months at a time as you hvae Kevin rotate through them to get them all fixed right LOL.
All of the videos are excellent, but I think this is the best shop related (non-Freedom Factory) video in a while. Kevin's attention to detail and the desire to do things right is much appreciated as a viewer. The FF video to come will be awesome.
The way Kevin explains stuff really shows how good of a teacher he is. Some people just have a special way of conveying information in a way that makes is super easy to understand and he's one of them. Seems like an incredibly nice person as well.
For Cleatus a plaque fast oil slow fuel trimmed in flashing leds... James pulls up in with the trailer any idea what's wrong? I think that the light thingy might of flashed 🆘️❗
Kevin is a boss! doing all that work whilst juggling owning and running a shop, other cars, and being a dad during this pandemic. that's setting some good examples right there, brother.
Hey Guys, I just wanted to quick say how much fun and enjoyment I have had watching you everyday. I know making these videos for everyday can be a lot of work, but I, and I am sure many others appreciate all the hard work. I also wanted to say how much I love seeing Kevin on here too. such a good guy and great to see what he can do.
when Garret down plays his need for freedom then he hears the screaming eagles and you see inside his head YELLING MURICAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MORE FREEDOM
i thought his name was cleetus for the longest time but then i drove 741 round trip miles to Houston cleetus and cars 2020 and talked with his family and other fans man that was so cool It was rowdy and amazing and ima go next year even if i have to walk watching it on youtube your like ohh this stuff is cool im not bored for (insert time of video) and go on with your life, but when you see the cars in person and talk with james justin cooper garret and everyone else man it just makes this channel seem real and worthwhile its not just a time waster but spending your time enjoying a really cool thing
Gotta tell you I look forward to these every day. It's truly a gift, and you guys are killing it! I know it will end, but until then, keep up the good work!
Watching Kevin tune Toast was probably my favourite video on the channel. Love seeing Kevin work as he does it right. He also is a bit of a voice of reason in the realm of freedom haha
This guy is a master. You need someone like this that knows details on your teams. He went through all of those details just to get the car right. I need Kevin for some work on a couple of my cars.
Watching Cleet be overjoyed with all the slick work is like watching people see their cars for the first time on overhauling. Tough not to smile at a genuine reaction.
Kevin is freakin cool as hell!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼 seems like a straight up chill dude. Props for being a single dad. Being a parent is tough with two. Couldn’t imagine not having help.
You owe Kevin big money. Kevin is one of those guys who will not do anything unless it's perfect. I'm not one of those people but I appreciate them. Give that man some money and pimp his channel more.
There is no doubt that they aren’t putting their money back into the channel and the videos. You see some folks just banking the money but these guys are trying to build a dynasty.
So just 2 months.... he home schools and takes care of 3 girls.... he has his own shop, dyno tunes and fabricates parts, re-wires the cars... This dude is a beast!!!!
You should have a designated driver, similar to the stig from top gear; who you would have make a timed run on the track and you can make a leaderboard as well.
Kevin is awsome! I used to buy his second hand oldsmobile parts, I was poor, on a tight budget, i could always find something to keep me going, great guy..
